Twisted Twosome is a small town, enemies to lovers romance that can be read as a standalone romantic comedy. See why readers are falling in love with these blue collar heroes. From the first day I met Racer McKay, I knew our interaction was going to be incredibly brief. First impressions really do matter and unfortunately, I didn’t make a very good one. At the time, I didn’t think much of it. I … think much of it. I was never going to see this man again, right?
Wrong! When I’m met with the opportunity of a lifetime, there is only one man in the state of New York who can assist me. And can you guess who it is?
But what I don’t realize is he needs me just as much as I need him. I have money he’s desperate for, and he holds the key to making my dreams come true.
So, we reluctantly join forces.
Our pranks turn from sarcastic banter, to sexual tension and lust-filled glances. Bickering matches quickly morph into slow burn moments. We’re hot, we’re cold. We push and pull. I need him, I don’t want him. We’re on the verge of combusting with an agreement dangling dangerously between us. Neither one of us can afford to lose one another and yet, we’re finding it quite hard to decipher the line that rests between love and hate.
*** This is a full length novel , 100,000 words, with a happily ever after, no cliffhanger, no cheating, and full of heart, humor and, steamy heat. ***

Racer is so funny and his Little Debbie snack obsession gives me life. I didn’t quite enjoy it as much as My Best Friend’s Ex, but Racer and Georgie were so cute. It was a sort of opposites attract with Georgie coming from a rich family and Racer being in massive amounts of debt. I liked how they went from being irritated with each other to having this sexy banter that I thoroughly enjoyed. I ended up liking the story in the end more than I thought I would. Twisted Twosome is a funny, sexy, and heartfelt story.
*5 Stars*
I finally got to read Twisted Twosome. This was the only book I hadn’t read in this series (I totally read them out of order, came across them when The Other Brother was released haha). I’m so happy I finally got a chance to finish this story, and with Racer and his antics nonetheless.
Racer seems like such a larrikin and easy going guy, and for the most part he is. But learning about his past and the thing that is keeping his as determined as he is, really shines a light on what great character he has.
Georgie is a wonderful female lead, and it’s great to have a character who comes from a family like hers, but is so completely different, and stubborn, and fierce in her own right. She won’t just fall into line, because she has her own hopes and dreams.
And of course, we have Tucker and Smalls, and some other really fun secondary characters too.
This one is full of funny antics and pranks, and lots of sass, but its also full of heart and strength, and it was a really great read.
Meghan Quinn is amazing at writing angsty, steamy , hilarious and realistic romantic comedies.. this one doesn’t disappoint.
Such a cute read! Not my favorite in the series (that title belongs to My Best Friend’s Ex) but it was a really fun enemies-to-lovers story!!
Racer & Georgie made for a great match. Their constant bickering & flirting led to some super memorable scenes!
Racer… This guy has the gift of gab. Whether it was his inner monologuing or the actual words coming out of his mouth, he was frickin’ hilarious. (If not a skosh over-the-top at times but hey, that’s Racer.) The stripper stuff, the little “messages” he left for Georgie around the shop, the way he defended Georgie’s honor… *swoon* It was so easy to be a #TeamRacer fan!
Georgiana aka Georgie… I loved her drive, her feistiness & the way she loved Racer. Loved how quickly she made friends with Racer’s crew & her relationship with her brother Abe & his wife, Waverly. Georgie was a bit hoity-toity at times but thank gods for Racer because he stomped that crap down, fast.
Looking forward to the next book in the series, The Other Brother. Can’t wait for Aaron to find his happily ever after!
Loved this series! Racer and Georgie were a perfect couple. Many lol moments!
NO SPOILERS!
Twisted Twosome was amazing and I absolutely loved Racer and Georgiana’s story! It was one of the best romantic comedies that I have ever read and definitely a top 2017 favorite. It was sweet, sexy, sassy and hilarious, and I honestly couldn’t get enough of the phenomenal and addicting storyline and characters. Meghan Quinn is an exceptionally talented author and I am completely addicted to her writing style. The storylines and characters she creates are one of a kind and I absolutely love her humor and wit. I’m fairly new to Meghan’s books, but she has quickly become one of my top favorite contemporary romance authors, and I can’t wait to read more from her!
Racer and Georgiana were truly incredible and I instantly fell in love with them and their story. I loved Racer and Georgiana so freaking much and they were some of my all-time favorite characters. They were extremely likable and relatable, and I immediately felt a connection with them. I loved their personalities, and the chemistry and sexual tension between them was sizzling and undeniable. I loved how their story and relationship progressed, and I loved reading it from both of their POV. The banter between Racer and Georgiana was highly entertaining, and I have never smiled and laughed so much while reading a book. I was addicted to Twisted Twosome from beginning to end, and I honestly loved reading every single page of this book. Racer and Georgiana will always have a very special place in my heart, and I was beyond ecstatic with the conclusion to their story.
Another aspect I loved about Twisted Twosome were the amazing secondary characters. I loved seeing Tucker, Emma, Smalls (Aaron), and Adalyn from My Bests Friend’s Ex, and I loved the camaraderie and close relationship all of them had with each other. They were an extremely tight-knit group and it made me very happy to see all of them again. They certainly made the story even more interesting and entertaining, and I loved every moment of it. I also really enjoyed the introduction of several new characters, with the exception of a few, and you’ll definitely know who they are when you read the book.
Twisted Twosome completely exceeded my expectations, and I truly couldn’t have been happier with the outcome to Racer and Georgiana’s story. It was everything I could have hoped for and more, and I am so thankful to have gone on this journey with these wonderful characters. They were phenomenal and I couldn’t have loved them and their story more if I tried. Meghan Quinn is truly the Queen of romantic comedy, and I am extremely happy I discovered her amazing books. She is an auto-buy author for me, and I am so freaking excited to see what she releases next!
I loved Racer’s story. After being introduced to him in previous books and seeing his relationships with his close friends, it only made me crave Racer more. This character has such a great personality. A man that hides his insecurities by being a jokester and teasing others. It reminded me of myself and the men I grew up with in my profession.
This is a story of a rich, entitled brat (so Racer thought) that is really trying to make it on her own and wants her daddy’s approval and acceptance as an equal. Obviously, things aren’t going to go as she planned. Which brings us to a an unlikely pairing between a broke, in-debt blue-collar worker and a rich trust-fund ‘princess’. Will they kill each other or will they realize they are both two peas in a pod.
I loved it Meghan Quinn! I <3 Racer! This was a great story of a man who had a deep relationship with his late father and will do anything to preserve his memory and do it responsibly. I loved how Racer’s life path was outlined in this book. It was an original story line (for me anyway). Nice angle.

Talk about a totally swoon worthy dopey smile heart going all kinds of wonky and twitterpated enemies to lovers story filled laugh out loud moments, and even some cringe worthy ones, panty melting moments and moments that got me all kinds of teary. Toss in a cast of well written characters that I want more of (and thankfully will get down the road) and Twisted Twosome was a book I never wanted to end.
I absolutely adored Racer and Georgiana. Racer, I really liked after finishing My Best Friend’s Ex. He drove me a little batsh%t crazy with his crazy, but I loved that he owned his crazy and was definitely curious to delve deeper into his head and heart and holy h^ll what a heart he has. Everything he does is to hold on to his most precious memories and it’s heart melting even as it’s heartbreaking. I loved that while he was doing everything he could to stay afloat he didn’t try to be an island. He asked for help and took help when it was offered. He is really every man’s man, a little crazy, but a man with an amazing soul who will throw down for those who are in his circle.
From the moment I met Georgiana. I really liked her and that grew quickly to adoration. She is one of those people where you definitely shouldn’t judge her by the way she was raised. Georgie is driven and willing to do what it takes to make her dreams come true. She isn’t one of those that expects hand outs, but she also isn’t too proud to accept help, or beg, when it’s needed. She’s sassy, compassionate and I loved watching as she truly came into her own as the book progressed.
Racer and Georgie’s enemies to lovers journey was a fun one to watch. The things they would do to each other were pretty d%mn funny. The fun part of their pranks and verbal barbs was that they ended up bringing them closer together instead of pulling them apart and forced them to see what truly lay beneath the surface and realize they weren’t as different from each other as they initially thought. The smexy between them was hawt and I thoroughly enjoyed their verbal sparring and how it became an integral part of what made them work so well as a couple. While the big pothole in their journey kinda pissed me off, I did like all that happened after it and what the end results were.
As a fangirl of Meghan Quinn’s it’s not really a surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Twosome. It’s well written, engaging, well paced and the dual 1st person was excellent as always. I thought everything was well plotted and executed and loved the whole “word” thing. That may be my favorite part of the book because of how it exposed the characters hearts and souls. And as for the supporting cast of characters, I ADORED Waverly. She needs to be in future books. But Smalls (I can’t call him by his given name…yet) is probably my favorite, Adalyn a close second, and I can’t wait for his book to drop!

Where oh where do I begin? I love to read. I especially love to read books that make me laugh out loud AND also have the ability to make me cry. Sometimes happy tears from laughing so hard or sometimes tears because an author makes me truly feel. If an author can do both in the same book then it is like a Festivus Miracle. Meghan Quinn does that for me. She is a freaking unicorn. There are many times that I find myself reading a passage that she has written (usually always an inner monologue or a conversation that is full of sarcasm and snark) and I think to myself, “this woman is my spirit sister.” This book just sealed the deal for me. I laughed. I cried (sweet holy hell, Racer and a certain letter he wrote gutted me).
Just about anything Meghan Quinn writes captures my soul. When I first discovered her with the book Dear Life, I thought to myself, “Please don’t be a one hit wonder.” Then I started down the rabbit hole of all her books falling a little more in love with her every time. I didn’t think anything could come close to The Mother Road (If you haven’t read it then please stop what you are doing and add it to your TBR) but I was wrong. This book, actually series of standalones, will weave a spell into your heart.
Georgiana. George. Princess. So many nicknames to describe this sassy woman who just wanted to fly free and be something other than just a Stepford wife, or to work on charities. She had a dream. She was forced to hide behind a facade that was not her. She wasn’t a society princess or as hoity toity as appearances would have you believe. She was passionate. She saved words that were special to her. In my opinion, she was sublime bliss.
Racer. Sweet holy hell. I have licked him and he is mine. We first met him in My Best Friend’s Ex. Initially in that, I thought he was a little immature, until he helped Tucker win his girl. I loved him. I loved his antics. Even then I knew there was more to this character. I am glad I was right. He was working two jobs and killing himself to hold on to something dear to him. I won’t get into spoilers but it made him that much more endearing when I learned why.
The push and pull chemistry between Georgie and Racer was to DIE for. I was laughing several times. And the Heat factor when it did happen. HOLY MELT MY KINDLE BATMAN. I won’t lie, I actually was pretty jealous that it was Georgie and not me because HOLY TITFIRE that man is sex on a stick.
The side characters, especially Madison and Waverly had me rolling. I need to go back and see if Waverly had a book that I didn’t know about but if she doesn’t it needs to happen. I was crying I was laughing so hard at her WalMart story. Madison interacting with Spencer had me hoping for a little story too. And Smalls. Sweet Small. I hope he gets a story since he has been a part of both stories now too and his rapport and witty comebacks to both Tucker and Racer had me rolling. Please Smalls tell your story to Meghan. I promise she won’t let you down.
I am not ashamed to admit. I stalk Meghan. I prefer to call it observing closely. So when I discovered that I had one an Advanced Reader Copy I might have done a little jig and screamed out loud scaring my cat and my son both of whom DID not seem to share the same enthusiasm that I was experiencing. Silly boys. I have loved this opportunity to be able to share this review early.
Moral of this very long shiny squirrel review: Buy this book. Read it. Love it. REVIEW it. You will not be sorry.
Kudos Meghan. You hit another one out of the ballpark. Thank you again for this opportunity to review your work.
4.5 stars
I believe everyone and I mean everyone needs- NEEDS- Racer McKay in their lives. Whether as a friend or your person…sigh, that man.
I don’t know whether to be impressed with Ms. Westbrook’s ability to handle all of Racers awesomeness or Racer for being someone I would love to have in my life. Over the top in every way, Racer and his friends are a dream come true for the weird I am.
I found the hate to tolerate ratio in this book is highly skewed because really- Ms. Richie Rich and her nuggies clearly are harder to tolerate than Racer and his antics…That might be slightly biased….might be.
I had a ridiculously entertaining time reading this book. Racer is beyond explanation. There is truly no way to explain his personality or just his awesomeness. He must be read to be understood…even then?!?!
I snorted, darn near choked, and laughed so hard I was shaking without noise and led my 7 year old to believe I was having an aneurysm. So if that isn’t an indication of the excellence that is Racer McKay, you are a lost cause and cannot be helped. Everyone else please rush as quickly as possible, in a safe and orderly fashion, to the nearest vendor/procurer of books to set aside a little Racer for yourself.

This was one of my favorites of the year! Its a enemies to lovers story with a rich girl falling for the working class guy! The relationship between Racer and Georgie is hilarious…with all the pranks and antagonizing it really reminds me of me and my husband!
She needs help getting her shop fixed up and he needed a side job to make some extra money. They spend a lot of time together….so naturally they were going to get together! He shows her how to loosen up and have a good time. He also stood up for her when her dad was trying to tear her down. Basically Racer is super great boyfriend material! I love him! One of the cutest things in this book is the book of words that Georgie keeps. It brings up some really cool sounding words.
There’s just something about enemies to lovers that gets my blood pumping. I think it’s the battle they go through along with the passion, tension and chemistry that just does it for me. Boy did Racer and Georgie just make my day! I was giddy for both of them throughout the whole book. I loved that Racer is such a smart-ass. He can dish is out, but can’t take it. I love that he likes to cuddle and the way he shows affection is by touch. *girly sigh* He’s intimidated by Georgiana and thinks she’s out of his league because she comes from wealth, but little did he know that she’s a completely different breed.
Georgie has dreams and she won’t stop for anything to make sure that dream happens. She’s a fighter, that girl. There was a part at the end with Georgie and her father and girl, I wanted to stand up and slow clap. She dropped that mic and she told her dad what was up! It was really powerful.
Oh what a great book. I not only love Meghan’s writing style but I love that all of her characters are so real and I totally want to be friends with! A couple of weeks ago my husband and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. I told him on facebook that there’s nothing like the love and support of a phenomenal partner to help you thrive in this crazy game called life. That’s what Racer and “Princess” are to each other. They make each other thrive. It’s a beautiful thing.
“Be flawsome, Racer, because honestly I wouldn’t expect anything less from you.”
Meghan Quinn’s writing always fills my heart with love and my soul with laughter and Twisted Twosome did exactly that. I had so much fun with Racer and Georgiana. Their enemies to lovers romance was a whirlwind full delicious and witty banter that squeezed my heart and kept a smile on my face.
One the outside, these two look like they should be oil and vinegar. Racer doesn’t believe he could ever belong in Georgiana’s world and they both stereotype each other. Yet when they really get to know the real person inside, it couldn’t be more clear just how perfect they are for each other.
What I loved the most about Racer was the fact that he clearly owns up to his insecurities. At least to himself. He’s strong and loyal and honestly has one of the biggest hearts that I’ve seen from a hero in a while. Add that in with his wit and the crazy things that comes out of his mouth, both funny and dirty, and he’s the perfect man.
I enjoyed watching the two of them open up to each other and learn to let someone in and help them move forward and reach for the stars. They quickly become each other’s rock and it was beautiful to see that happen.
Every single romantic comedy that Meghan writes has me dying to get inside of her head. The things that she comes up with is absolutely both hysterical and semi-appalling, which makes it that much more amazing. If only I could come up with such insane sayings.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Twisted Twosome delivers a hilariously fun and sweet enemies to lovers story that will consume you from the opening sentence. You don’t want to miss out on this one, trust me!
I have not yet found a Meghan Quinn story that I did not like……let me rephrase that. I don’t just like her stories…..I love them. She is an incredibly gifted writer, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next! Absolutely loved Racer and Georgiana!
“Flawsome. Someone who embraces their flaws and still believes they’re awesome.”
Racer is Flawsome. Flawsome in the most perfect way.
I love the brooding, mouthy guy with the tough exterior and the soft, squishy center. That always makes me adore the woman that “breaks” the shell.
Racer and Georgiana have similar hang ups, just from different sides of the tracks. Though their bank accounts are very different, their struggles are not too far off.
I love when there is a good push and pull between two hot headed leads and this was done beautifully. Even the characters missed it when it wasn’t happening.
Meghan Quinn dishes up a fantastic blend of humor and steam in this entertaining story of enemies to lovers. Quinn has a great way of making me giggle on one page and then fanning myself with my kindle on another. She is hands down one of my go-to authors, always delivering a solid read.
Get ready to fall in love with Racer!
We first met Racer in My Best Friends Ex where he was a co-worker of Tucker’s. Racer is working in construction, trying to pay off the substanial amount of debt his father left him in. To say he is struggling is putting it mildly, so he takes on as many side jobs as he can to pay bills. There is where he meets Georgiana.
Georgiana is from very wealthy and influential family. However, her dreams don’t exactly mesh with what her father deems her “role” to be. Georgiana wants to open a bridal shop, with or without her father’s support. And Racer is going to be the one to help her get her dream.
I love the joking and witty banter between Georgiana and Racer. I had tears streaming down my face, I was laughing to hard and yet, there were times I was totally heartbroken for Racer. There is an undeniable attraction between the two, however, Racer feels he is not going to be up to Georgiana’s “standards”. One weekend together changes everything, until family steps in and turns their lives upside down.
I love Meghan Quinn, her humor and the characters/stories she writes. Twisted Twosome was a sexy and funny story that I read in one afternoon and loved it. If you are a fan of romcoms, this is one you most definitely need to read!!
If you want a LOL book then you NEED to read Twisted Twosome. I loved the verbal sparring between Georgianna (Georgie) and Racer McKay! Georgie is the rich girl. Racer is the poor boy. They come from different sides of the tracks. It was not love at first sight. They do wonderful pranks on each other and some are doozies. They keep trying to one up on each other.
Here is a little tease from Twisted Twosome: – ***my review on Amazon is slightly different because they would not post this quote. ***
Pants are off, he shouts some more. “The good-time pole is out, and I’ve got your favorite lube in the warmer. Come aboard the Racer Express, next stop Georgie’s wet vagina. Choo Choo!” If you read this book there is just so much more to it! A LOL experience!
I first discovered Meghan Quinn while reading The Bourbon Series (BTW another great series by Meghan Quinn). Her books just keep getting better! I can’t say enough about how good Meghan Quinn’s books are. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. But, I buy all of Meghan Quinns books that is how much I love them.
