Aspiring actress, Piper Peterson, has been living in New York City, trying to catch her big break. Working a handful of miscellaneous jobs has kept her busy and away from home, but the holidays are bringing her back home to Minnesota where her family, best friend, and spiked eggnog await. But, a snowstorm works to keep her in the city, stuck at the airport with an unexpected ghost from her … past—Carter O’Brien—her older brother’s best friend and her childhood crush who broke her heart years ago. Piper doesn’t have time for the details that come with the holiday season or for Carter and his excuses. But, Carter pulls all the stops to prove there’s more to this time of year than obligations and cold weather.
But will it be enough for Piper to forgive him?

I liked the story
Yes, Carter O’Brien broke Piper Peterson’s heart. But he knew her well enough to know that it was what was best. Rather than being selfish, he let her go follow her dreams. And now that they are stuck in the airport, both trying to get home for Christmas, he’s going to prove himself to her. He does such a good job that I want Carter for myself!
Sweet, short and a quick Christmas story to read. What else do you need? The chemistry between the characters is on point. Tangled in Tinsel is worth getting tangled in
Piper Peterson left her hometown of Minnesota to chase after her dream of being an actress in New York, but not everything turned out as expected. When she gets stuck at the airport on the way home for Christmas, the last person she hoped to meet there would be Carter O’Brien, the man who broke her heart years ago.
While the two spend time together trapped at the airport, they experience several fun times, such as the Christmas tree decoration, and even some discussions.
And when they finally arrive in Minnesota, will they be able to overcome the past and move on together?
This is a light and fast story to read, and I loved the characters.
I recommend the reading.
Tangled in Tinsel is a second chance holiday romance that captures your attention and carries you along as the story unfolds. The main character’s turbulent moments keeps you in place rooting for thier happy ever after.
This second-chance novella has given me the Christmas spirit I’ve been trying to muster by watching Christmas movies. I enjoyed the travel grousing by Piper as she packs herself for a flight home to visit her family. I giggled to myself as she describes the typical mom and dad holiday traditions and that she both loves and annoy her. It’s a massive snow storm and as so often happens they cancel all the flights stranding everyone in the airport. Enter Carter O’Brien to the handsome boy scout worthy rescue! These childhood friends and almost more have both been living in the city but aren’t close any longer. Carter takes the situation in hand and makes a potentially horrible situation not only manageable but fun and festive for the pair and the people around them in the terminal. I completely enjoyed this story!
A chance meeting in a New York City airport. Piper and Carter have known each other since they were kids. Time, school and careers had pulled them apart but they never forgot their first love. Now they find themselves stranded in the airport right before Christmas due to a snow storm. Can this unexpected layover actually bring them closer together or drive a wedge between when all their secrets are revealed? Extremely heart warming and a quick, easy, romantic read. 4 1/2 stars out of 5 for Mariah Detz!!

What a sweet, warm and fuzzy Christmas novella! I loved the the bickering between these too and I could really feel the love and friendship between them! A great quick read filled with lots of childhood Christmas nostalgia!
An absolutely adorable Christmas story! Everything Mariah Dietz writes is gold and this story is no different! I loved how sweet and thoughtful Carter was with Piper! This story had the perfect mix of sass, sweetness, and romance! Highly recommend this if you’re looking for that Hallmark movie feel!
I’m flying out to AZ to see my parents next week for Christmas, and all I can think after reading this is “please don’t snow, please don’t snow” because I won’t have a Carter O’Brien to get stranded at the airport with!
Brother’s best friend + second chance romance + holiday + snow storm = one happy Shannon. Tangled in Tinsel is a very cute Christmas story about two childhood friends finally reconnecting and working through what happened between them a few years ago. It made being stranded at an airport not look so bad, kind of fun actually! (But I’m not putting that out into the universe right now!) It’s one of those stories that I can definitely see as a movie on the Hallmark Channel.
Just a fun, Christmas time novella. A feel good story that is perfect this time of year. My only complaint is that there might just be more to these two and their story but at least they got their happy ending.
This was a fun feel good Christmas novella. I love this time of the year and sweet stories to read.
Piper is dreading going home for the holidays. She’s a struggling actor and wants to avoid any questions about her choice of career. Her flight e da yo delayed and she’s stuck at the airport. While stuck at the airport she sees the last person she wants to see, the boy who broke her heart. Her brothers best friend Carter who she hasn’t seen in four years.
This was a sweet story and I really enjoyed these characters. If your looking for a sweet feel good romance this is for you.
