A time-travel romance for fans of Diana Gabaldon and Hazel Hunter. To set him free from an ancient curse, she must travel to a time of myth and legend… the ancient magic that still permeates the mystical site of Newgrange. Instead, something far more unexpected awaits her: a strapping, gorgeous stranger who insists he’s a centuries-old Celtic warrior.
Fáelán was one of Fionn MacCumhaill’s elite soldiers before being cursed by a resentful fae princess. The only way to free himself is to fall so deeply in love that he’d sacrifice his life. Not an easy matter when he’s invisible to most. Yet Regan sees him—not just the proud, handsome warrior on the surface, but the complex man beneath. Wonderful family story
Regan has a gift to see and hear ghosts. When she returns to her heritage to rekindled that gift, she finds a Celtic Warrior looking for love. Faelan has been cursed by a princess and he must fall in love to be freed. It was a good thing that Regan could see him I liked the chemistry between these two. The twists and turns of the story kept me interested and I found myself hoping somehow, these two could really be together. I enjoyed the unique romance of forbidden love between these two. It added a different dimension to the romance. Barbara Longley wrote a romance through decades, and spiritual planes that is so gripping, it is not to be missed.
KC Sheridan narrated this story. I found her speed a little slower with longer pauses than I enjoy. I am not sure if this is due to editting or narration though. She does have an easy to listen to voice. Ms. Sheridan easily kept the characters separate and easy to follow.
Regan MacCarthy sees, hears and is able to converse with ghosts–but doesn’t really want to do it anymore. Her Mother wants her to get even more into it. So off to Ireland Regan goes to attempt to rid herself of this ability-or at least harness some magic to control it! She isn’t having much luck. Then she turned around and a HUNK was standing behind her–she assumed he was a ghost–he insisted he wasn’t. It seems he had been put under a spell–
Well as you can imagine it took Regan a very long time to believe him–meanwhile they were falling for one another–
Once Ragen figured out he was actually telling the truth–and the fae who had put the spell on him in the first place came and wisked him away–Ragen had to time travel to his century to try and undue what had happened–
There is a lot of time traveling back and forth for both of them.
Nothing written in stone–the future is uncertain-Is Ragen able to undo what happened so that her HUNK can be a live human being in her century? You will have to read this to find out. And an enjoyable read it is!!
When a book starts with yoga poses in Ireland, it just can not be a bad book. Tangled in Time has so much more going for it, the yoga is a bonus. The MacCarthy family are born with gifts since a distant relative was one of the fae. Although their parents have encouraged Regan and her sisters to use their gifts, Regan is burned out from being at “her” ghosts beck and call. She sells her yoga studios and moves to Ireland to find a way to be able to turn off her gift. She steals into a magical historical place early in the morning for this purpose. Here Faelan, a member of the Fianna, legendary third century warriors finds. Is he a ghost as she suspects and insists or is he cursed as he insists. His story is that an angry Fae princess relegated him to the void, an in between space for almost two thousand years, to be there until conditions in the curse on met. Anymore details would give too much of the plot away. This is a fast paced read, hard to put down. Just as you think you have things figured out the author puts in a twist to spice and liven things up. This is the first Barbara Longley book I have read, although I have several in my TBR pile. I was not sure if I would like this book, but I can saw I wholeheartedly loved it. I would love to see more of the MacCathys. Great reading.
A greatly penned tale that brings to life the fantasy world of the Fae, ghosts and realms of other worlds. I loved the storyline and the characters. I also enjoyed reading of the landscapes and would love to visit them myself. This genre is not one that I usually read so it was a nice change of the norm for me.
One of the best time travel books I have read in a long time. Highly recommended.
Simple, fun read. Good one to relax to and unwind with. I love books about time travel, so this book was interesting to me.
