Sparks fly between a die-hard romantic and a sexy cynic in this fresh, funny romance from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke. That cream-filled, caramel-topped doughnut should have been hers. Still, Haley Raynor can’t deny that the pastry thief with the dreamy blue eyes looks even more delicious. But moving in on a handsome devil like Trevor Kelly is bad news for a die-hard romantic like … die-hard romantic like Haley. Trevor doesn’t believe in love. She does. Giving in to a fling and Trevor’s irresistible charms can’t end well. Can it? What can it hurt to give it a shot?
Girls always fall for Trevor, and in the end, he always ends up looking like a bad-boy cad. Still, spending some time with Haley and her smart-talking, kissable mouth sounds pretty perfect. Besides, he’s only going to be in Dogwood Lane for one week. How much trouble could they possibly get into?
The only answer? A “no falling in love” contract. All Trevor and Haley have to do is follow the rules and resist the attraction sizzling between them…before their hearts get completely tangled up in temptation.

Adriana Locke’s Dogwood Lane series is so much fun. I adored Tumble and meeting Dane and Neely. Tangle, though, introduces me to Trevor Kelly, and TREVOR KELLY is delicious.
You know from the beginning that Trevor and Haley are destined to be together. Teensy problem, though: she believes in lasting love, and he thinks it’s an urban myth. (His reason for this is devastating, and I loved how unexpected it is.)
They decide to get around their percolating sexual tension with a contract written on a cocktail napkin. Cute, right? Even cute? They think these scribbles will act as a barrier between them.
Adriana Locke builds and builds and builds with Trevor and Haley. She builds their trust and feelings and their attraction. She builds this sense that (at least) one of them will get their heart broken, but she also builds the trust that even if they do, they will heal.
I loved this book. It’s sexy and funny, and Trevor and Haley are one of those couples you just adore.
Not to drop too strong of a hint, but I can’t wait for Penn’s story. And I’m kind of hoping Penn’s story intersects with Claire.
I completely adored Tangle by Adriana Locke! I don’t think I’ve liked a heroine more than I liked Haley. I loved her independence, wit, and sass. Trevor is an absolute dreamboat and him and Haley’s chemistry is just perfect. This is certainly not the last book I’ll be reading from Adriana Locke. This book was incredible!
I love a great meet cute and this one was so awkward and fun, setting the stage for the rest of this sweet, steamy and delightful romance. Haley is at a crossroads trying to find her place in the world. When a charming, sexy, Trevor visits Dogwood Lane, he turns her world upside down. Haley is in love with love and Trevor doesn’t believe in it. These two are total opposites but they have fun and their chemistry is explosive. Trevor has met his match in Haley with her quick wit, smart mouth, and sweet nature. He is only in town for a short time and can’t commit to what she wants, but finds himself breaking all his rules. I loved Haley so much with her positive attitude, spunk, and strength. She was determined to not make the same mistakes over again. I loved how they challenged each other and their banter was hilarious. It was also fun catching up with Neely, Dane, and Penn, who were so protective of Haley, and played a large part in this story. This sweet and emotional story is filled with close friends and family who are fun, quirky, and totally supportive. But it is the engaging, heartfelt and swoony romance that captured my heart and wouldn’t let go. I love this series set in the kind of place that draws you in and makes you feel right at home, and I can’t wait for more from Dogwood Lane!
Tangle was a fun and sassy story to get into. Our poor Haley is having “A DAY” and needs her sugar rush to make everything right again. Until a gorgeous stranger has bought the last donut that was calling Haley’s name. Since that incident, I could not stop loving on Haley and Trevor. Stories where love finds the way always get me. I love when a book character does not believe in Love and then gets bit by the bug.
The passion that heats up between the characters will have your Kindle go into overload. I recommend this MUST READ as it will give you the thrills and the chills!!
For me this was a good read, it just didn’t wow me. Perhaps that’s partly because I’m used to this author totally capturing my heart and soul with her characters, whilst rending my emotions. This is still a much better read than many contemporary romances!
I liked Haley, I liked Trevor but the pace was just a little too slow, at 38% I was chomping at the bit for something to happen. At times I just felt a little, well, bored.
That sounds quite negative and it isn’t. Tangle is a well written romance, it has a really interesting plot and nicely rounded, believable and likeable characters. I just didn’t connect in the way I normally do with an Adriana Locke book, and it was probably as much me as anything else.
Things really did pick up later in the book and the emotion – oh the emotion! You feel every desperate and despairing moment, every heartache, every moment of confusion and longing. No-one writes feelings quite like Ms Locke does.
Whilst this perhaps will never be one of my most favourite books by this author it is still a book I am happy to recommend. Haley and Trevor are a wonderful couple, who are perfectly matched, despite seemingly being totally unsuitable.
I loveeeeedddd Trevor Kelly!!! I loved Hailey and her wit. This was such a good book. I savored it rather than devour cause i didn’t want it to end too quickly. I loved seeing Dogwood Lane and all the characters i grew to love in Tumble. Penn better get a book or im gonna be pissed haha. I need to see him get smacked in the face with LOVE.
The Dogwood Lane series makes you feel like moving to a small town! Comfy & Swoony! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Haley and Trevor are going to make you fall completely in love with their “we won’t fall in love” banter! They make you want to move to a cute small town and join them. I am crushing on this series!
5 Small Town Stars!
Tangle is book 2 in the Dogwood Lane series. This is Haley, who you may remember as Dane’s cousin if you read Tumble and Trevor.
Haley has had horrible luck when it comes to dating, so she is done with it, she is taking a break. Trevor doesn’t believe in love. Everyone around him has been in a relationship that hasn’t worked out. So what happens when promises are written on napkins and a new friendship forms?
Haley, she was one sassy little firecracker and I LOVED that about her. She wasn’t afraid to give what she got, even if it was to a complete stranger. The banter between her and Trevor was fantastic and I loved the chemistry between the two of them. Trevor, the doughnut thief, was a man all about one-night stands. He didn’t do relationships, especially with his past and the relationships he has seen around him.
This book had me laughing, it was sweet, and it will leave you smiling. I love the little bits and pieces of Dane and Neely and glimpses into more of the Dogwood Lane characters. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Penn. I think that man may finally meet his match.
Tangle a perfect small town romance and a MUST READ for the summer!
Tangle is a fantastically cute read. I love how Haley and Trevor meet. The banter between them is so delightful and sexy at the same time. Neither is looking to get involved. Haley is just this light force you can’t help but to love and looking to focus on just herself. Trevor is swoonworthy and charming you get the feeling he doesn’t know what he is looking for in life. I love this one. Haley and Trevor are so sweet together. I couldn’t put this one down. I love the changes with Haley and Trevor throughout. Dogwood Lane is fast becoming my favorite feel good series especially after reading this one. Go one click this one.
Tangle is the second in the Dogwood lane series by Adriana Locke and tells Trevor and Haley’s story. It sweet and sexy and full of the usual fun feelings you get from the light-hearted side of Adriana’s stories.
She’s a whizz at writing these small hometown stories filled with dirty talking gorgeous guys and sassy, snarky, take-no-prisoners girls.
Haley believes in love and Trevor doesn’t but fate, and a doughnut has put them in the same place. The attraction is instant, the chemistry out of control and their sexy banter. It’ll make you smile so darned hard. Neither planned on this happening, so they make a pact but can it last?
They have to decide if they will allow the universe to have its way or ignore the stars aligning and pushing them together, and if so, will it be forever?.
I loved being back in Dogwood Lane and reconnecting with previous characters from Tumble and meeting new ones. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Wow. My second book of the Dogwood Lane series and I loved it.
We follow quite a journey between Haley, a huge romantic at heart and Trevor, the anti-romantic. Making a contract between them seemed like an easy solution until they started to have feelings for each other.
But Trevor didn’t want that because he lived so far away, so how could he make this work? This long-distance relationship?
Haley knew she couldn’t develop feelings. She always did in the past and she was always hurt.
This book is a great summer read. With witty banter, hilarious side characters (hello, Penn, nice to see you again) and the wonderful people of Dogwood Lane, you’ll fall in love with this series. I was also excited to meet again the characters of the previous book – Tumble.
4.5 stars.

5 Star review of Tangle (Dogwood Lane #2) by Adriana Locke
Tangle was well written and full of love, romance, laughter and the opportunity for Hayley Raynor and Trevor Kelly to fall in love. I really liked Hayley and Trevor, both separately and together.
There was not a thing that I didn’t love about this book. From the first page to the last I was absolutely captivated by the story that Adriana Locke wove and read this in almost one go. I love small town romances and when you throw characters like Trevor and Hayley, it really is a winning combination.
I loved how swoon worthy Trevor was, he just ticked all the boxes for me. Hayley is a hopeless romantic, funny, smart and would be a great woman to call friend. Does she dare take a chance on a fling with Trevor who does not believe in love or will she get a broken heart?
There was so much humour and seriously hot shenanigans in this book that you cannot help but fan yourself. I love Dogwood Lane and Adriana Locke really brings it to life for me. I for one cannot wait to read more in this series.
I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley.
Hayley was first introduced to us in the first book in the Dogwood Lane series, Tumble, and I just knew her story was going to be a winner! Here’s this hopeless romantic who falls in love at the drop of a hat. She’s sweet and kind and everyone can’t help but love her. Who knew she would also turn out to be feisty and sassy and not above being mean, especially if someone tries to get between her and her beloved doughnut?
Trevor Kelly is the quintessential no strings, bad boy that all the ladies can’t help but fall for. Too bad he doesn’t believe in love, AT ALL. Why shackle yourself to one woman for the rest of your life when you can keep things fresh and interesting with a different lady all the time?
The attraction between Trevor and Hayley was instant. The chemistry is off the charts. The sexual tension? Holy Moley… I was dying for them to just give in to their lust and get it on!! But at the same time I worried so hard for Hayley’s heart because she was really no match for Trevor. He pursued her relentlessly, even knowing exactly how she felt and with a damn contract written on a napkin, no less!
Adriana takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions in this installment of the Dogwood Lane series. The whole gang is around again in this book, and you can’t help but fall in love with all of them all over again. And man, that Penn Etling… I am dying for his book!!
I gotta admit, I loved this book even more than the first! No offense to Dane and Neely, but I just connected so completely with Trevor and Hayley, I was rooting for them something fierce! Be prepared to laugh, and swoon and want to choke someone, and yes, you might even cry at the end! Happy tears, I promise!
This is a perfect summer, fun read. It’s got the lure of small town charm, romance, passion, some angst, an awesome cast of characters, and old Blue still laying in the middle of the road!
Great job, Adriana! I’m so excited for the next book!
Many thanks to Netgalley for an advanced review copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
This story was a lot of fun with a little heartache thrown in. I just loved Haley’s witty comebacks to Trevor’s remarks but as compatible as the two of them seem they fight like cats and dogs and it all started with a donut. When Haley meets Trevor she has sworn off men for a while and Trevor just got out of a clingy relationship so they make a deal that they will just be friends but when Trevor asks Haley to be his plus one to ward off a clingy ex girlfriend things begin to sway. If you want something light and sweet with some romance this is a perfect book to take you away for a while to Dogwood Lane.

My new favorite Adriana Locke book. This story gave me all the feels (and left me wanting a doughnut). I loved the banter and chemistry between Haley and Trevor. She was so easy to connect with and Trevor was everything a book boyfriend should be. A great addition to the Dogwood Lane series- can’t wait for another visit.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC received via NetGalley.
Another winner for Adriana Locke. Trevor and Hayley were adorable together. I always enjoy when the H and h forge a good friendship first. I loved how tangled up Trevor got in his feelings for Hayley. I actually teared up because he was so tortured. He really didn’t get it. And Hayley ended up so strong in her conviction. All around fantastic read!
Tangle is a small town romance, and who doesn’t love a small town romance? This is Trevor and Haley’s story and book two of the Dogwood Lane series. Honestly, I hope this series never ends! Adriana engages the reader with her wit, humor, and wonderful characters. You won’t be able to put it down.
If you haven’t read one of Adriana’s book, I highly suggest you do. You won’t be disappointed.
I was so excited to be back in Dogwood Lane! I love this small town and all the characters who make it what it is.
I love Haley’s determination in everything she sets out to do. She is very strong willed but has a witty and funny side to her which you are drawn to. Trevor was the perfect match for her! A straight up guy who knew what he wanted and wasn’t shy about it. In saying that Haley was also the same! They complemented each other so well they both didn’t see it coming – Love that is.
A beautiful sweet story that had me captivated from start to finish. I hope you love it as much as I did!
I absolutely loved Tangle. Trevor and Haley had me smiling from the start. I loved their kind of banter! You could feel the yearning and desire grow without the heaviness of all out angst. And Trevor, for however he messed up and the mistakes he made is also a very likeable guy. His attraction undeniable for so many reasons. I also always appreciate when the h is given her own personality and story along with the romance of the couple getting together. Watching Haley struggle and grow and break yet be strong and kind and awesome was great. She is someone I want to be friends with. This is one of my favorites by Adriana Locke. She nailed it! I recommend and will be rereading it again. Can’t wait to see what comes next.
Being back in Dogwood Lane was such a refreshing experience.
Trevor is taking time away to oversee the construction of his dad’s new house. Little does he know, there is more to Dogwood than meets the eye.
Hayley is trying to figure out what she wants out of life. She has always put others first and now it is time to put herself first.
These two together made for some hilarious moments. They way they bicker and the witty comments had me falling in love with them fast. No matter how much they deny it, sparks are flying from the first meeting.
Trevor was a closed off and set in his ways, but there is an underlying reason for all his actions. It actually make my heart break for the younger Trevor.
Hayley was an honest, trustworthy, genuinely good girl, and her love for food made her that much more relatable.
As always, it’s so much fun to see old characters and get glimpses of their future. This sweet town romance was such a great escape and that ending was one for the books. It is going to be hard for any book boyfriend to top that grand gesture.
