Sparks fly between a die-hard romantic and a sexy cynic in this fresh, funny romance from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke. That cream-filled, caramel-topped doughnut should have been hers. A small town, romantic comedy you don’t want to miss!
Sit back and get comfy as you encounter the small town of Dogwood Lane and it’s enthralling residents, in Tangle you get to fall in love with Haley and Trevor with their quick wit and funny banter, along with their amazing friends and family sit back and enjoy the relationship that unfolds in this amazing read Ms.Locke has once again given us a book that is remarkable and memorable.
Where do I even begin?!? Because I honestly don’t know. For so long Cord has had my heart when it comes to Ms. Locke’s characters. I think Trevor Kelly has taken that spot over. Yea, yea, he had his moments of being a guy but boy did he outshine “those moments” in the end. And Haley, I adored her in Tumble but to get to know her even more makes me love her all the more. That girl would literally take the shirt off her back for you, well kind of likeTrevor actually did now that I think about it…. anyways! Not to mention we got more of Dane, Neely, and Mia. All three being as amazing and in Mia’s case as cute as before. And Penn, can’t forget Penn. And boy I can NOT wait for his story. There’s a side to Penn I can’t wait to see. Claire, she’s an awesome best friend. And then there’s Trevor’s family; Jake, Branson, and Meredith. Every time I think of Meredith I chuckle, (really crazy inside joke) and I was totally wrong about her. Meredith ends up saving the day. And making sure a happily ever after was ensured. And I can’t ever let this go with the setting for Ms. Locke’s stories. The towns she creates are places I’d love to live. I fall into the story and wish I could live there. I always always always fall in love with her towns as much as the characters. Haley dear, I love you and just you’re a rock star. Trevor Kelly, you’ve stolen my heart. You guys will forever have a piece of my heart!
Great series!
This is book 2 in the Dogwood Lane series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone but since I loved the first book, I recommend reading that one as well! In this one we get Hayley and Trevor’s story. Hayley loves everything about love and is just searching for her “one”. While Trevor doesn’t believe love is real and he doesn’t do relationships. But the attraction between them is there, and they decide to spend time together while he is in town. All with a contract.
I loved the first book but I have to say that I think I loved this one even more! Hayley is definitely a sweet character but she has this underlying snark that I loved! They have so much chemistry it just jumps off the page and leaves you wanting more. Trevor may come across as the “bad boy” but he has his own issues to work through and he really is a sweet man. The side characters are absolutely great and even when you are done with the main story, you are left wanting to know more about them. I will definitely be reading more of this series as it comes out!
*4.5 Stars*
Talk about a swoonworthy read! I absolutely fell in love with Trevor and Haley. This book was such a fun read, I wasn’t able to put it down.
The perfect summer read!
Trevor Kelly is everything!!! I honestly have never read something by Adriana that I didn’t love so I wasn’t that surprised that I fell hard and fast for Trevor, what surprised me was the fact that I think I love him the most out of all of the guys Adriana has written.
Tangled is a sweet fun romance between a girl who has had her heart broken one too many times and a guy who doesn’t mean to break hearts. Everything about these two shouts that they shouldn’t even want to be friends, but how can you sent a friendship built over astolen donut. I simply couldn’t put this book down, I smiled through nearly the whole book, of course I wasn’t smiling when I wanted to smack Trevor for being blind to what was in front of him.
There really isn’t much that needs to be said about Tangled, other than the fact that you HAVE to read it!

This was such a good read! The writing flowed well from start to finish, and I LOVED Trevor and Haley together. They have great chemistry, and you know from the first time they meet, that it’s going to be good! Trevor was upfront with Haley from the start, but I feel like he did lead her on. She practically begged him to abide by her rules, but he pushed her boundaries. I was SO happy to see Haley be able to hold her own though. I got a glimpse of her in Dane’s story, and she wasn’t the woman she was in this one. She had grown so much as a person. I loved that she knew that it was going to hurt, but that she was going to be okay in the end regardless. The ending was very sweet, and perfect for these two!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
If I thought I fell in love with Dogwood Lane in Tumble, I didn’t even know what love was. I mean, this small town filled with these larger than life personalities is working hard on owning my heart. And y’all? I’m not even trying to fight it.
This felt so good! From the perfectly executed sparky banter, to the slowly building scintillating chemistry that burned between Trevor and Haley – every bit of this story was a delight! I don’t even know who I loved more! Honestly, in a rare feat – I think Adriana Locke gave me a heroine that I loved more than I loved the hero. Haley might be one of my favorite heroines…ever. Her dry wit and snappy comebacks combined with her big strong heart and unfailing honesty. Sometimes I felt like I was Haley (or maybe, more to the point, that Haley was all of us), but at every turn I felt like I for sure wanted Haley to be my best friend forever because she was just that awesome.
On top of the massive girl crush I have on Haley, Trevor also heaped on the swoons and set my heart aflutter. He was the perfect match for Haley – their humor played off each other in this sort of fun, flirty way that I find completely irresistible, and there was an undeniable sweetness to the bond they built. Were there moments where I wanted to shake some sense into him? Yes, 100%. But in the end, he straight up won my heart and I could not have loved him any more.
It’s pretty clear I have nothing but love for this book, right? And Trevor and Haley’s romance is just the tip of the iceberg. I loved getting Trevor’s family dynamic and how rewarding that story arc wound up feeling. I loved getting some time with Dane and Neely. Honestly, the whole secondary character game is strong here – which basically just means I am left wanting so much more from these wonderfully dynamic characters and this charming little town. If you’re looking for something flirty, fun, and full of heart? Tangle is for you! Definitely recommend!

This is the second book on the series and it’s just as good as the first. After getting to know Haley in the first book I was looking forward to her book. I was hooked right from the beginning. Trevor and Haley have a lot of chemistry. There is one problem she believes in love and for ever and he doesn’t. That is just a recipe for disaster, but or is it? I really enjoyed the humor in this book. I love the sense of humor the characters have. I also loved catching up with the characters o f the previous book ans see how they’re enjoying their HEA. That’s one of the reasons I love a series. Trevor sometimes that man makes me want to smack some sense into him, but of course his past has made a big impact on his views of love, but he never thought about what happens when he finds the right woman to love. The epilogue was absolutely perfect and one these two characters deserved.
I am huge fan of all things Adriana Locke. Also, I am a sucker for a small town romance, and the first book in this series was absolutely amazing. So picking this one up was a no-brainer. I am so so glad I did! Adriana delivers an amazingly sweet, fun read full of characters you can’t help but love.
Haley is my kind of girl. She is sweet, caring, and quick with the sassy wit that will have you laughing out loud. I could so see myself as her in this story.
Treavor is all the SWOON! I couldn’t help but fall for his sweet charm. While at times he frustrated me to no end, I still fell fast and hard for him.
Tangle is my favorite in this series so far. I have a feeling this is one of those series that starts out strong and only gets better as it goes. I can’t wait to see what Adriana brings us next!
I loved this book! To me Adriana knocked it out of the park again. Tangle is about Haley, Danes cousin from book 1, and Trevor. Haley is an all in kinda girl, wants the white picket fence and 2.5 kids and Prince Charming to go along with it, but she’s given her heart to loser and has gotten stomped on so now she is on a man/dating hiatus. Trevor is in town to check on things at the construction site where his dad is moving to. Trevor also does not believe in love. When sparks and banter fly with these two at first meeting, Haley and Trevor try to keep their distance but they just can’t. Can Haley keep her heart to herself? Can Trevor believe in forever love? Read on and find out!
I love being back in Dogwood Lane. In the first book in the series we meet Haley, and since then I have been curious about her story and what would become of her.
As always Ms. Locke captures you from the very first page and you can’t put your kindle/book down. You become engrossed in these characters she creates and you feel everything they feel and experience.
Her words make you laugh, cry, and fall in love.
Haley and Trevor’s story is no exception and will have you feeling all the feels. Absolutely a must read!! Love love love!!!
I’m never surprised when Adriana Locke rolls out another FABULOUS small town romance. Haley and Trevor take the cake though…and all the donuts too. They are OFF THE CHARTS HOT!! This is the book I’ll be recommending everyone reads. I think this maybe Adriana’s best yet. It’s small town romance meets big time feels and ALL THE SWOONS!
Trevor freaking Kelly has charisma and spark coming out his ears. Trevor Kelly is EVERYTHING. Just his name rolls so smoothly off your tongue. He’s everything you’d look for in a smooth book boyfriend, but he’s not looking for love. Get this…he doesn’t believe in it. Enter Haley, falls in love at the drop of a dime, a romantic at heart. Trevor’s met his match in this firecracker. Their chemistry is like Canada Day fireworks. You can’t stop them from lighting up each page. I loved everything about this book!
Another fantastic thing about small towns, lovable characters popping in here and there. Dane, Neely, Penn, and Haley all create an adorable family. Adding just the right amount of spice to the mixture, I was cracking up throughout. I’m jumping up on the couch excited for Tangle. Adriana Locke has knocked it out of the park! Get this book!!
Tangle got me from the start. I’d already had a soft spot from Haley when I met her in Neely and Dane’s story (Tumble). It was apparently she was a softy and in search of that epic, romantic love. What a TREMENDOUS treat to watch her get it.
I connected with both Haley and Trevor. Deep, deep down is my romantic side that connected with Haley and all her cheerfulness and rainbows. On the outside I am all Trevor, with his cynicism and realism. I ached first them both as they faced their fears when it comes to love. But as it always is, Haley was the braver character. Her hopes in what love is and what she and Trevor could have drove her to proceed even with the chance at being heartbroken.
I was wiping tears from my eyes toward the end as I hurt in both their behalf’s and I was cheering as that happily-ever-after they both deserved came to fruition.
So far, Tangle was my favorite of the Dogwood Lane series. I cannot wait to see who’s next and how their story unfolds. I have a feeling I know who that will be and I’m super stocked about it.
This return to Dogwood Lane is just what I needed to kick off my summer. From the first interaction between Haley and Trevor I knew I was in for a fun and quasi-emotional ride. And Adriana Locke did not let me down one bit.
I adored Haley. She knew what she wanted, for the most part, she just tried to find it in the wrong places. Which lead to her experiencing more than her fair share of heartache. She was taking a break from relationships and doing well with it, until Trevor Kelly walked into the cafe. Whew Trevor! Swoon city with a dimple on the side. Even when he wasn’t trying to be, he was so likable. And even when he was being a jerk he was still so dang nice. Ugh!
His wishy-washiness put Haley at a disadvantage because she knew he was the type of guy she could see herself with. She even told him not to string her along because she didn’t want her history to repeat itself with him. He agreed but the more Haley pulled back the more Trevor pushed. He couldn’t explain why, he just knew he wanted to be near her. And then the unthinkable happened…they both developed feelings. Neither one knew what to do with them and with time working against them they were at an even bigger loss.
Tangle delivered a perfect small-town romance. There was friendship and laughter and family and a lazy dog and donuts. The list of things to love about this book is endless. The Dane and Penn sightings added even more comedy to the pages. But the absolute best thing for me was the romance between Trevor and Haley. It was fun and flirty and proves that when it comes to love, you get to make your own rules.
This is the small town romance of my heart!! I loved this book!! Loved everything about it. It was so easy to lose myself in the fun characters, the witty banter, and the passion. I’m still buzzing by the chemistry between Haley and Trevor. I couldn’t get enough.
I’m the kind of girl who falls for the hero easier and faster than the heroine. (I know. I’m smh at myself too.) Not in this case. My girl crush on Haley was almost instantaneous. With all her sass, her kindness, and her realness, I wish she was my bff. She is my new favorite Adriana Locke heroine.
Of the two books in the Dogwood Lane series so far, Tangle is my favorite!! If you want a cute and sexy small town romance that will not want to put down than I highly recommend picking this one up.
I’d give this book 6 stars, just for the witty banter! The chemistry between Trevor and Haley is undeniable, but they’re definitely from two different worlds. I loved every minute of this story, and will never look at a napkin the same way again!
WOW! Just Wow! I have read almost every one of Adriana Locke’s books and Tangle just blew me away. The writing is brilliant, characters are authentic and the story line is captivating. Adriana knows how to write small town romance and with this book she proved herself to excellent in crafting a story that builds with anticipation only to dent your heart with emotions, before giving you an HEA that fills your heart with feels and your mind with happiness.
Oh how do I put into words my love for this book? I was expecting to really enjoy this book because hello Adriana Locke, she’s one of all time favorite authors! Instead I am blown away!!! It started with a doughnut, the one Haley wanted but Trevor had. That’s when we see how feisty and sassy Haley is. She is awesome! Trevor, never gonna settle down, doesn’t believe in love, Trevor. He doesn’t know what hit him. It was an absolute joy to watch their story unfold. Get ready to laugh, maybe get a little teary, and you will definitely swoon.
