As the battle against the invading aliens reaches its endgame, a group of bad boy bikers and mercenaries will stand and fight for humanity’s survival… fighting to protect his brothers, his friends, and the last of humanity’s survivors. It doesn’t matter if he dies, he knows he belongs in the shadows, doing the dirty work and taking dangerous risks so others don’t have to. There is no warm woman, no love, and no redemption for him, and especially no small, sweet alien woman who he struggles to ignore.
Abducted from her homeworld by the Gizzida, Selena endured captivity and torture. Then she found herself on a distant planet called Earth and rescued by tough, heroic humans. She’s recovered, made a new family for herself, and come into a power that she never knew she possessed. She’s determined to experience everything life on vibrant Earth has to offer and to protect her new home. And she discovers that one battle-hardened, intense man is the only one who ignites a passionate desire that leaves her breathless.
The humans have fought hard, but now the Gizzida have created three deadly, humanity-ending bombs. Tane’s not happy that Selena’s help is vital in the fight against the aliens, and nor is he ready to face her stubborn confidence nor the white-hot desire flaring between them. But as they enter their final make or break fight, Tane and Selena know they need to
Note to readers: This sci fi romance contains a lot of action (dangerous missions and deadly aliens), tough warriors (the badass berserkers of Squad Three) and a steamy romance (lots of sexy times between a sweet but powerful alien woman and a battle-hardened, intense berserker). So if you like it fast, and gritty, and sexy, this is for you!
Includes a preview of Edge of Eon, first book in the Eon Warriors series.

Q & A with the Author
Q – How would you describe the Hell Squad series?
A – Tough, alpha soldiers battling invading aliens. Hell Squad is science fiction romance with a dose of post-apocalyptic grit and a serve of military romance. There is lots of action, adventure and romance. But even in the middle of a fight for survival, the series is focused on hope, friends, family and love. Hell Squad has been one of my bestselling series and I’m thrilled the Hell Squad gang have so many fans.
Q – Why did you want to write the series?
A – I love action, adventure and romance. And I love science fiction romance and all the endless possibilities. I also wanted to write something that was a little darker and grittier than my more adventure-filled series, the Phoenix Adventures. Then I had this image of a former society party girl wearing fatigues squaring off with a scarred, battle-hardened soldier and Hell Squad was born. I’d intended it to be a single story…but the Hell Squad soldiers had other ideas and literally came to life as I wrote the first book!
Q – What order should I read the books in?
A – All the Hell Squad books have stand-alone romances in them but the action arc of the invading aliens grows with each book. Many readers have entered the series with later books and they haven’t been lost, but, characters from the early stories do appear in later books and I really think it adds something to the reading experience to read them in order, starting with Marcus.
The Hell Squad Science Fiction Romance Series: Science Fiction Romance, Action Adventure Romance, Post-apocalyptic Romance, Alien Invasion Romance, Futuristic Romance, Military Romance, Paranormal Romance

This is a must read for Hell Squad fans. What a finale. Romance, action and so much suspense. Plenty of tears during the story and after the last page is read.
I don’t want to accidentally give any spoilers so all I can say is, if you want to find out if they are able to stop the Gizzida’s final takeover, read this.
What an exceptional final chapter to an exceptional series.
One of the best series endings ever.
Anna Hackett’s Hell Squad series if one of my all time favorite series. I love her world building. She adds a few more details with each book , much like adding color to the page to bring the reader into the world. Her characters have flaws that the reader can identify with- strong characters that use their flaws to the betterment of others. Tane is the final book in the 20 volume series bring a close to the overall plot and telling the story of the final two characters, Tane and Selena, a mercenary who’s lost way too much and an abducted alien, far from home fighting to save her new world. This whole series is on my ‘must ready list and will appeal to lovers of action, romance, and adventure. Enjoy!
After years of waiting we finally have Tane and Selena’s story!!! This was a fantastic and emotional end to an amazing series.
Tane has been fighting his feelings for Selena since they rescued her. After 19 books we finally got to see his POV and it was intense. Tane is a protective alpha male who is determined to protect his family and the survivors, even if it means he dies. He no longer feels he is worthy of love after being a mercenary for so many years. We see him do some pretty reckless things in the beginning of the book trying to protect others because he feels he wouldn’t be missed. Selena confronts Tane and breaks down his barriers. She makes him see that he is a true hero and is a good person. I just love the emotional scenes between these two. They have both been through so much.
“None of us are perfect, Tane. We’re good and bad, an accumulation of right choices and wrong ones, but I’ve watched you for almost a year. You are a good man, even if you don’t believe it. And I want you. Just as you are.”
Selena is no longer the shy alien who was first rescued. She has grown and become stronger. She has found a new home and friends and is determined to fight back. I loved Selena. She has changed so much and is perfect for Tane. Her abilities are amazing and watching her fight against the Gizzida was badass. She really can do a lot of damage with her abilities and I loved it. She is determined to be helpful and protect her new home, even when she is terrified of being captured again.
“I’m not broken. Maybe I was when you first found me, but you, all of you, put me back together. You gave me a home, and I want to fight for it too.”
This book was nonstop action from the very beginning. The survivors have finally found all three bombs and are racing the clock to destroy them before the aliens destroy humanity. The battle between aliens and humans was intense and deadly. We came close to losing so many people and yet the survivors prevailed. I cried. I have been reading this series for years and having it finally end was so emotional and heartbreaking (in a good way).
“She knew he’d make her happy—and sad, angry, content, thrilled, desired—because that was the glorious chaos of life.”
I loved the conclusion and seeing all the happy couples. The new life that the humans are making and the love that they are showing. I am so sad that this series has ended but it was a powerful ending to an amazing series. I cannot wait to revisit this series in the future when I am missing the squad and relive it all over again
Sigh, all good things must come to an end. I laughed, and cried, and thoroughly loved this series. Hunky heroes are on my read list any day! Cannot wait for more good stuff!
“Tane” is a roaring storm of emotions with excellent character interaction, comradeship, humor, gripping suspense, bone-tingling action, life-threatening moments, dreadful danger, blazing passionate romance and a superb conclusion to the HELL SQUAD SERIES. When I came to the end, I hungered for more.
Tane Rahia, the leader of Squad Three, fights to defend all he cherishes. He thinks his horrific past as a mercenary leaves no room for the love of a pure woman. The Gizzida captured Selena, a silver haired alien beauty. Now rescued, she is safe with the humans who fight to preserve humanity. Selena finds herself attracted to tough, standoffish Tane. The black-hearted Gizzida plan to detonate three bombs to destroy all humanity. Tane and Selena go on a perilous mission. Together they face hurdles before achieving their happy forever.
Spectacular, well-written, quick-paced read. Fantastic storyline with admirable characters and exceptional vivid scene descriptions. The chemistry between Tane and Selena is spot on and their devotion shines; perfect for each other. Selena is a fierce heroin and Tane is a protective alpha but sweet too. Relishing this entertaining read, I reviewed a pre-release copy via the author.
Tane has been a mercenary soldier for much of his adult life. Then the Gazzida arrived and he banded together with other like-minded people to become the Berserkers. He and his group fight the Gazzida aliens every chance they get, and kill many aliens along the way. He currently feels unworthy of love and acceptance from anyone—especially from Selena. She’s light to his dark places, and he doesn’t want to contaminate her inner beauty. They finally find a way to make it work, then discover that the alien bomb is set to detonate shortly. This is the story about what happens when it does. They pull out everything they’ve got to stop these aliens, and to preserve the human life left on earth—before its too late.
Clear your day before you start this book. You will have a hard time putting it down. It’s exciting and sad and happy—all within a few pages of each other! You’ll read this book at a breakneck pace!
This is the final book in this series. As such, there’s a bit of a farewell scene at the end, along with some unexpected twists and turns along the way. Expect tears and excitement and courageous acts of bravery. Ms. Hackett took this reader on an incredibly unexpected journey with these books.
Tane has survived many things but the hardest battle he has faced is his attraction to Selena. He’s convinced that he’s not what she needs. Pity he never thought to ask Selena what she wanted!!
Selena may have been through the wringer at the hands of the Gizzida but she is no longer the fragile prisoner they found. She is nourished, clothed, has friends and wants to develop her feelings for Tane. If only the damnable man would see her as more than a rescuee.
Selena has developed her green-fingered talents into a weapon and you will marvel at what she can achieve. Tane and Selena have a hard road head of them, there are plenty of obstacles to get in their way. There are a few traumatic scenes, some of your favourites may not escape unscathed!!
Completely bereft now one of my favourite series from this author is completed. I’m hoping we may get little short stories from the world in the future, cos there are a few “new” characters that need to have their stories told!
Anna has broken me and I knew it was coming I just didn’t want to face it. I first stumbled across Anna by reading Marcus the first book in the Hell Squad series. With each book released in the series I was on it so fast and devoured them just as fast until Tane. I’ve waited so long for Tane and Selena’s story but my joy was tinged with heartbreak, because by opening this book I was saying goodbye to a series that has held my heart for so long. I’ve had this book for several days, normally by now it’s read and an email is sent. I couldn’t, I didn’t want too as it would mean by reading that final page I knew there would be no more. This book does justice to the whole series, I cried, I laughed, I cheered and as I finished the final page I mourned all the while Hell Squad’s battle cry echoes through my brain… “Hell Squad, ready to go to hell?” Marcus called out. “Hell, yeah!” the team responded. “The devil needs an ass-kicking!” And with silent tears running down my cheeks I now say goodbye to Hell Squad.
Great ending to an awesome series. I loved this series and it’s characters. It’s sad to see it end but it was a thrilling ride. I totally recommend this series and author.

Oh mercy I have to warn you to have the tissues at hand. This story was heart wrenching at times. Selena has such amazing powers. I love how she goes after Tane and doesn’t let him get away. 🙂 Made for some hot spots. The ending was epic! Not saying anything more as I wouldn’t want to ruin it for anyone. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author and freely leave this honest review.
This was such a fitting and fabulous conclusion to this exciting and fun series. Tane has long been a firm fan favourite so to finally see him get his own story is something I can only thank the author for. Matching Tane up with Selena the female abducted from her home planet was a perfect way to allow the survivors to finally stand up to the Gizzida . The aliens who have invaded Earth are about to release bombs that will change humanity forever. As usual there’s action, humour and romance but there’s also a chance to catch up with previous characters who have captured readers imagination. No matter what is happening in the world this series has reminded me that where there’s life there’s always hope and I heartily recommend this thrilling conclusion.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
I highly recommend reading the series in order before this awesome finale to the series. I just can’t find the words to describe just how much I enjoyed how the author finally got two of my favorite characters together and ended the alien takeover of earth! There is humor, action, sci-fi elements, alien creatures, twists, surprises, romance, and a very satisfying conclusion to the series! I reread all of the books before I read one word of Tane’s book so I was fully immersed in this well-developed world and major story arc. I enjoyed every second of the reread and Tane’s book was even better than I could have possibly hoped for! I am sorry to see this series end, but I couldn’t be more thrilled with how Ms. Hackett wrapped it all up!
Although he couldn’t get her out of his mind, Tane was convinced he had no right to want Selena. It seems that berserkers believed themselves to be the worst of the worst. But the powerful alien had learned a lot, was stronger, and was no longer the fearful and weak creature they had rescued from the clutches of the Gizzida. Selena knew what she wanted and was determined to get it. The Gizzida was already ready for the destruction of humanity and the Earthlings were ready for the final battle. I really liked this version of Selena, how she was responding both to her feelings for Tane and to the weight of her responsibility for the threat. I felt my chest clench with the intense and exciting descriptions and narrations. There were moments of great emotion that watered my eyes, so caught I was in the plot. This last book was very cathartic for me after following the fight of these warriors to save the humanity. Exciting ending with lots of action, suspense, scary situations, monsters and more monsters, violence, romance, passion and a lovely HEA. Enjoyed it so much!
Incredible story!
I don’t want to say too much about it, but our people do a bang-up job of what they’re trying to accomplish. Encounters with the Gizzidas and their patent horrific creatures abound, of course. And there is still room for camaraderie and an ever so hot romance! I love seeing Tane take the fall. Ahh, romance!
