From up here on stage, I can see her. Even with her First Lady hair and Sunday school shoes, I can’t take my eyes off of her. The music starts. I swing my hips to the thumping bass. Oh, so slowly I slip one button through a hole, then another, then another. I ease the black silk from my shoulders and toss it right toward her. I watch her pale glossy lips form a big ‘O’ before she catches it like … ‘O’ before she catches it like a major league baller. The flashing lights blind me. Between beats, I can see her blue eyes zeroed in below my waist.
I know what she wants. I give it to her. With a zip and a tug, the leather pants join the rest of my clothes. In my skin tight briefs, I dance just for her. With the last chord of the song, the stage goes dark.
I know when the lights come up again, another guy will be dancing in my place because this is my last time. I’m not doing this ever again. It’s too bad I didn’t get her name. I really liked that shirt. But not enough to go back and claim it.
If she wants me bad enough, she’ll have to find me.

“Taming the Bad Boy” Is A Great Read With An Good Balance Between Drama & S€X¥ Times!!
Here’s a funny Couple who have a HARD Time gett’n Together,
You won’t believe the mixups & Drama they go through on the way to an HEA~ BUT, I’ve gotta say, it’s crazy, funny, & outta this World!
This book wasn’t what I was expecting from the blurb, but it was better… No spoilers from Me!

4 STARS for Taming The Bad Boy by Jolie Moore
ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own & have not been influenced in any way.
Rafe ( IE Rafael ) definitely is a very BAD BOY !! He does not do relationships strictly hookups & a few that have certainly gotten him into BIG trouble. Daisy is a really interesting character on the outside we know she is an Ivy League graduate but it is somewhat shocking to find out what her career is. ( if you could call it that )
Daisy & Rafael meet at a gay bar – the attraction on Daisy’s part is immediate but of course she thinks Rafael is gay. Rafael feels the same way about DaIsy but things really seem to get off on the wrong foot for them both ….
This story is a different read for me – the only reason I did not rate it 5 STARS is that I wanted both characters to clear up their issues & get together sooner.
Jolie Moore is a very talented author writing with lots of humor & this particular book ( my first by the author ) has a very unique story line. I’ve added Jolie to my TBR author list as well !!
There is a HEA but it does take a bit for Daisy & Rafael to get there …
Enjoyed this book & loved these (2) characters. !!!
He is slowly removing his clothes and he sees her eyeing him. He knows he wants her but when she goes it will be her who needs to follow him. Will she follow him? See if she will

Daisy meets Rafael at a gay club. She is not looking to be hit on and this place was her safest bet. She automatically thinks Rafael is gay because of the club. Turns out, he definitely is not. Daisy is a porn webmaster and she feels like all guys are the same. Beasts only looking for one thing. Rafael is a comedian and he has problems keeping his junk in his pants. They are an unlikely pair. It seems like nothing comes together for them. But they like each other.
This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Jolie Moore; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

3.5 stars
Taming the Bad Boy was an interesting tale between a woman who has the job all men fantasize about and a guy who is a stand-up comic. Daisy and a friend decide to do some market research for Daisy’s occupation. She wants her line of work to be more inclusive for all lifestyles. When she meets a group of men in the club, she’s uncomfortable to find she was attracted one of them. There were small sizzling sparks between Daisy and Raphael, but Daisy misinterprets which gender he’s attracted to after a chance meeting in a gay bar. What ensues is a strangely intriguing tale that includes Daisy falling deeper and deeper into the world in which she works, ultimatums from friends, and a man who really should be a whole lot smarter about who he charms into his bed. There is a lot going on in this book. Daisy has her own life and Raphael has his own life. Occasionally, they overlap.
This is one of the few books that, while I was interested in the premise, the first few chapters did not engage me as well I had hoped they would. Once the ball started rolling though, I was on board the Daisy and Raphael crazy train for the duration. I enjoyed most of the interactions between Daisy and Raphael and loved the friendship between Daisy and her best friend, Nari. This story contains the making of an unconventional couple. Daisy and Raphael don’t jump right into a romance and are extremely flawed. In fact, they tie for who’s messed up more.
The author’s world building and character development was done well. We see a very different Daisy and a very different Raphael by the end of Taming the Bad Boy. Parts of the book were a bit slow but overall, the pacing of the book was perfect – not to fast not too slow. There are situations in this book that may be uncomfortable to some readers. Most of the book is written well and likeable. I found the story flowed well and was easy to read.
I struggled to get through this book. Rafe & Daisy didn’t really have a lot of chemistry to start off with. I felt like she only liked him because he was Asian. Rafe was really crude and jumped from one bed to another with no thought to anything. Daisy was a mess. Who would think that it is ok to shoot a porno in their friends living room without permission. Then she goes from paying to have the prono shot, to actually being in the porno? but she has issues with being intimate with Rafe? I don’t buy it. The writer also made sure to point out REPEATEDLY that Rafe & Nari were Asian/Korean. Most books will bring this up a few times yea, but this book had to point it out on every single page. I just didn’t feel like this was a story I would want to read again, or would tell one of my friends to read.
This book grabs you from the beginning. There is tons of chemistry between Daisy and Raphael. You will love it!!!

It took me a long time to really get into the main characters and I struggled with the first 50 pages or so but once Daisy and Raphael got over their first hurdle I was hooked on wanting to know how their individual lives would come together and whether they would succeed as a couple. Definitely came together after the initial trepidation. Glad I persevered.

Daisy Fletcher goes for a night out. She has an interesting job. Raphael Augustine may have a job at making people laugh. I found that it was easier to picture Daisy doing her job than Raphael’s. My funny bone never got engaged, plus he gets into trouble and that seemed to bring things down.
I’ve come to like reading a story that’s being told in the first person. But there was one scene where Daisy got a little too descriptive about her friend. It was a case of TMI. I also didn’t need a constant reminder of Daisy’s friend and family’s ethnic background. We’re informed at the beginning of the book but the constant reminders are a little off-putting. It got to the point where I wanted to say, “I’ve got it, I’ve got it!”
The author has to give her readers some credit that they’ll remember something like a person’s ethnicity – especially when their language appears as part of a scene. It makes it difficult to want to continue because you start looking for the next time that word is going to appear. Plus your focus is taken off the main characters and looking for the next time Nari and her family appear.
There was so much going on here that I felt like I was going in circles trying to keep up with what was going on. We see a lot of world building for our main characters but seeing them try to build a relationship seemed to get a little lost. I never felt like they had any type of connection. Maybe you will see a connection that I never did. The connection I did see was that they are both in the entertainment business. It was more like reading two separate books at the same time. This is one book where it’s slow building and it made it hard to concentrate and wanting to turn the page.
In the end, no two people are going to see this book the same way. A lot of it is what your mind picks up on. You may find Raphael funny. You may find a young woman trying to find her way in a world where it’s constantly changing. In reading the title, I may have just set my expectations too high and that could be where my disappointment kicked in. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t give the author another try.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
A very interesting, well-written page-turner that will hold your interest until the very end. The plot is well-developed, consistent, realistic, exciting. It will take you on a roller coaster of heart wrenching emotions, growing up, ups and downs, and other drama. The characters Daisy and Raphael balance each other perfectly – though it took them a while to figure it out. The chemistry between them is potent and undeniable. This is not a quick read and in my opinion it would have benefitted greatly if an epilogue was included.

Good romance rather unpredictable
I found the title well chosen because I wanted to slap Raphael, the hero at the beginning of the story as he takes so much time to react to his actions, or to think, but this story is also about the heroine Daisy who needs to master her life again, and it is him who helps her to overcome her relationship difficulties.
The whole thing is an introspection of Daisy about her life and the sex industry (she’s webmaster of her porn enterprise). She needs to go a long way on male / female relationships, beyond the image given in pornographic films, and on her adaptation to ordinary life if she gives up her job as her best freind tries to help her do. When she meets Raphael she thinks he is gay, they have meetings that end in disasters and when finally they get closer, their night is far from memorable.
In short, the thread of the story is quite unpredictable.
The only annoying point is the big talk between Daisy and her best friend, who tend to slow down the story with the descriptions.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
The chemistry is off the charts and the plot was well developed. it wasn’t personally one of my favorite but I can tell that the author is a fantastic writer.

The story of Daisy and Rafael was ok, I did struggle a little to get through the book because I did not feel the chemestry between the two caracters, and they were doing too many stupid things withouth thinking of the consequences even though they are both in their thirties. I did not get a good feel for either of them I am sorry to say. Rafael sleeps with too many women, does not pay attention to what the women want and ends up with a statutory rape charge, a rape charge and the has sex with Daisy like they are in a porn. Daisy runs several sex web pages, makes a porn video, tries to make one that she would also stare in, and just generally they both make so many strange choises for two people who claim to be attracted to each other. Not my kind of book I am sad to say.

Daisy and her friend Nari were going to MJ club it was a gay men’s club
and had seen many scenes. They were at the club when 3 men asked if they could join them at their table. Of course the ladies didn’t have a problem since the men were gay. One of the men got up to dance on one of the boxes his name was Rafe he stripped down to next to nothing. He threw his black shirt into the crowd and Daisy retrieved it before it hit the ground. As they were leaving the bouncer gave her a note from Rafe to call him. Rafe was a comedian but Daisy hadn’t her him right she thought he drew cartoons. Daisy called Raphael and he returned her call about his shirt that she had cleaned. Daisy was under the impression that Raphael was gay. Daisy work was a thing that Nari wanted her to quit but, the money was too good to stop. Nari got her a job at a production company that produced reality TV. The show she worked on got her back seeing Raphael he was one of the contestants. He won the contest and was offered a program. Raphael told Daisy that he is not happy because they put him in the “Asian Box” Raphael is half Korean. Daisy has her other business going really well. Raphael show takes off and Daisy was happy for him. Daisy found out some information that she really didn’t need to know about Raphael. Ups and downs and unusual circumstances.

He’s a comedian that’s done well for himself, but has a different woman in every city. Nothing is ever serious until he meets Daisy. Things really heat up between them, but she also has some baggage, she’s a webmaster to a slew of sex sites and thinks all mean are hogs. You get to see the story develop between them as well as their feelings for each other. In the beginning I had my misgivings about the book, but by the end I was glad I finished it.
