Teddy: If there’s one thing I don’t do, it’s commitment. You don’t become an award-winning photographer by staying in one place. I’m always on the road, looking for the next shot, the next award, the next hot body. Which is how I end up on Dr. James Marian’s front porch in the middle-of-nowhere Alaska. He’s known as the Wildlife Whisperer, and I want to photograph him in action. He’s reluctant at … at first, but I can be persuasive.
Soon enough I have him in bed saying yes over and over and over again, but my ability to shoot and scoot is frozen by a Denali snowstorm.
Jamie: I always thought of myself as the marrying type. Until I got left at the altar. Now I have a new motto: never commit and never fall in love. So when a cocky nature photographer decides I’m the key to his next masterpiece, it seems like the perfect arrangement: the hotshot’s only in town for a brief assignment and then he’ll be gone. No commitment, no strings, and no chance of getting my heart broken again.
There’s just one problem: I think I’m falling in love. Now I’m afraid that maybe I’m the marrying type after all. And he definitely is not.
Fair warning: Jamie and Teddy’s story contains scenes of delicious man parts touching, Aunt Tilly dropping F-bombs, and two stubborn hearts finding each other in the wilds of Alaska.
While it can also be read on its own, Taming Teddy is the second in the new Made Marian series. Each book tells the story of one of the Marian brothers’ search for true love. The first in the series, Borrowing Blue, is available now on Amazon.

Oh the feels in this book – one minute I was snort laughing, the next I was swooning, then gasping, and then I was crying. The way the main characters’ growing feelings for each other were portrayed while they were also trying desperately to squelch the feelings and pretend it was all physical was so well written. I could feel their inner turmoil, their joy and their fear. The c’mere, c’mere, c’mere, getaway, getaway, getaway was just just enough to be groan worthy without tipping into angst just for angst sake. Teddy Kodiak is a wildlife photographer who lives in Manhattan but travels extensively on assignment. Jamie Marian is a wildlife consultant who currently lives in Denali National Park in Alaska. Teddy desperately wants to photograph Jamie but Jamie is not interested. After Teddy pushes his way into Jaime’s life, sparks immediately fly and so starts the beautiful dance toward their HEA. This was a swoony, hilarious, fun, sweet, steamy, heart warming story with low angst. I am loving this family and now I am off to read about the next Marion sibling.
A sassy, fun book full of delightful dialogue and sizzling intensity. Just enough tension to make it satisfying and ensures the HEA is hard won.
This is one of the early books in the Made Marian series where the characters felt real and the plots were imaginative. A fun read that transports one to interesting places like the wilds of Alaska.
Can a wildlife whisperer find forever with a wildlife photographer? Can you say “cheese”?
I am loving the Made Marian series. I love the whole quirky Marian clan. This segment features a long distance romance, commitment issues, a horrible ex, a gun- shy wildlife consultant, and a photographer who won’t take NO for an answer. Ooh, did I mention all the beautiful wildlife and a darling dog? Jamie & Teddy are made for each other. Come. Join them as they find each other. The pull between them is as intense as it is inevitable. There is a surprise ending that will leave you with joyous tears. HEA is assured. Oh, you are gonna love this book!
This can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading the first book in the series. Not only does it give you the needed background, but it’s a great book!
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
I absolutely loved Jaime and Teddy! Teddy’s thoughts surrounding Jamie were everything and the moment he finally realized he couldn’t live without Jamie was so swoon worthy. A perfect book in a perfect series!
Lucy writes stories that make you smile. Your heart sings. And you hope there really are couples as lucky in love as those in her stories.
Very realistic story…
Romantic, hilarious and informative.
I am not gay, nor am I a guy. I wanted to read a few gay novels/books to get a more in-depth understand the difference between love between two guys versus the typical guy-girl relationship. I just picked this book because it sounded like it would be a romance not a hook up. I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the story line. I must say, though, that I wonder how a woman can describe a sex scene between to guys. I will read gay romance written by a guy next time, although I don’t usually like romance books by guys because they usually do not have HEA endings.
I love every book in the Made Marian series.
I loved it. I loved the whole series.
Pretty cliche. Find the love of your life and live happily ever after. Okay start. A little drawn out by the end.
Liked the characters. Teddy and Jamie were both interesting in their own way. I would read another by the same author.
This book is fantastic. The characters are interesting and well developed. The plot moves at a good pace and its easy to read. Now I’m on a Lucy Lennox deep dive. Can’t stop reading her!
The sex scenes were a little rushed in my opinion and there’s not many of them. It was a fun read though.
I love rhis whole series its so good i will read and reread it many more times
