Buckle up for a wild ride as Dixie Whiskey finds forever love in TAMING MY WHISKEY, a funny, sexy, and emotionally riveting standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more! In TAMING MY WHISKEY… WHISKEY…
Being the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club doesn’t come with a white knight or a fairy-tale castle, and that’s okay, because Dixie Whiskey has never needed a man to slay her dragons or make her whole. Even so, after watching each of her brothers fall in love, she’d sure like a shot at her own happily ever after. But with the Dark Knights watching over her and the only man she’s ever wanted out of reach, she’s not holding her breath.
As the launch of Silver-Stone Cycles’ biggest line approaches, Jace Stone is left needing a favor from the one woman who holds the power to take him to his knees. He knows when it comes to sinfully gorgeous and sharp-tongued Dixie Whiskey, he must stay on his toes and keep his walls firmly in place. But Jace needs her for his business—and Jace Stone always gets what he wants.
When the tall, gruff, and darkly handsome biker presents an opportunity that any other woman might see as the chance of a lifetime, Dixie turns him down flat. But Jace is determined, and he pulls out all the stops—sending Dixie’s overprotective brothers up in arms. Rebellious Dixie takes a stand—going after the freedom, and the man, she’s always wanted. One scorching kiss leads to an undeniable connection, but Jace isn’t looking to be tied down, and Dixie refuses to play second fiddle. Can two untamable hearts find forever love in each other’s arms?

Perfect! There is absolutely nothing in this book that you cannot love. From the sassy comments to the hot times and all that is in between. This is the first book I have read of this series but it will definitely not be the last!

Dixie has always been an intriguing character for me. She’s so tough but so soft at the same time. It was definitely going to need a special type of man to keep make her happy and content. Jace Stone was that man, no doubt. He is such a mans man, then you realize he has a gooey center. When it comes to kids and his sisters, there is no sweeter man.
There are plenty of times, throughout this story, that Dixie’s “I chase no man” attitude and Jace’s “no roots” view of life drove me crazy. Most especially Dixie. I got that she didn’t want to show vulnerability. She knew the score from the beginning with Jace and didn’t want to show her belly or, worse, be the clingy woman who is oblivious to the way things are. While Dixie had an issue with Jace’s lack of communication, it was really a problem for both of them. She was so concerned with smothering Jace that she was keeping far too much to herself.
Their communication issues aside, Jace and Dixie were fire when together. There was never any denying their connection and I love how in tune they were with each other. When they weren’t together, I was wishing they were…just like Dixie. This story came alive whenever they shared the pages.
As always, it’s wonderful to catch up with this family. I got a bit too excited when I realized that Quincy will be getting his HEA next. I have a soft spot for all of the Whiskeys, but the Gritt boys will always have a special place with me.

Since we first met the Whiskey family and watched the brothers – Bear Bullet and Bones find their happy ever after I have dying for Dixie to get her love story. And what a story Melissa has given her. Dixie is a fierce, confident woman who can stand up for herself, but she also has a softer side, and at times vulnerable side and I loved how we got to see that side of her in this story.
I wasn’t sure who Melissa had in store for Dixie, I knew it had to be someone man enough to take her on as well as prove to her brothers he was the real deal. Enter Jace Stone, rugged, tough and definitely man enough for Dixie. Also he has been someone that she has lusted after since she was 18 but him being older by almost 10 years nothing came of it, until now. We learn that Jace himself has admired her from afar, but the age gap was a barrier for him that long ago (plus the Whiskey Brothers would have went mental)
Jace designs motorbikes, and has a new line coming out along with a clothing line for woman and after being let down by a model he turns his sights on Dixie, who if he had realised had modelled in the past would have made her his first choice. Dixie puts him off for a long as she can but eventually decided to do it, following her brother ganging up on her at the charity auction.
From here we really Jace and Dixie come together in more ways than one, their story is hot and their chemistry is on fire. But Jace is not perfect and his back an forth approach to his feeling gave me whiplash and left Dixie feeling broken-hearted, and my heart broke right along with her, but he fixes the wrongs and shows that no one is perfect but they can be perfect together.
I am so happy Dixie got her story and how awesome it turned out, and I am excited to read the rest of the upcoming Dark Knight stories that will still have our favourite Whiskey family in them.
5 stars
Awesome series
This was one fantastic read and we loved the story to beginning to end as it made us laugh out loud and even made you cry.
This series is simply amazing as you can’t help but love the entire cast of characters and the Whiskey’s are definitely one of my favorite families of all time.
We absolutely loved Dixie that girl was hell on wheels as well and smart, driven, full of sass and beautiful on the inside as she was out.
Jace was one of those sexy bad boys and sexy as sin, driven, wealthy, all bad boy, a total alpha and take me as I am kind of man and makes no excuses for the life he leads but, he is also a man of likes the open road and no commitments but, after giving into his feelings for Dixie Whiskey she is the only one to get under his skin and he can’t seem to shake her.
I loved that Dixie finally made a stand to get out from under the thumbs of those sexy as sin and overbearing protective brothers of her’s as it took some major guts on her part.
This story was also the kind that had you smiling throughout the entire story whether it was the antics of her brothers or Jace dealing with being turned inside out.
The chemistry between Jace and Dixie was hotter than hell and the only thing I kept thinking is that is one lucky girl.
Overall this is just of those story you didn’t want to end as the characters of amazing and funny but, also the story was heartfelt and emotional and you loved seeing and feeling the love this huge ass family had for one another and had you wishing you were part of it.
Recommended read to all and a series not to be missed.
This was a Phenomenal book like all the Whiskey series !! Dixie was a strong heroine and Have was the best man in the world just as strong as Dixie !! Taming My Whiskey has me drunk on love!
Melissa Foster makes me want to live inside this story because I feel right at home. This book is hot and enticing and downright yummy! I wanted to be Dixie because she is such a sexy, strong-willed badass and Jace makes my heart race! I would love to be on the back of his bike and in his bed! This story has so many swoon-worthy and laugh out loud moments. The banter is spot on. You need to read this for the auction, the photoshoot, and the double punch alone! Taming My Whiskey is delicious and full of hope, loyalty and everlasting love!
Tracey, Life Reads With Friends
Dixie Whiskey has never forgotten her teenage crush, Jace Stone. He was best friends with one of her big brothers and never even looked twice at Dixie. Dixie didn’t really need a man but that didn’t mean she didn’t want one–of course with those big brothers around none of the guys in the town she lived stood a chance! Besides–she still was looking for a man like Jace.
She was always doing something for the community and was now holding an auction where all the single men would be auctioned off to raise money for the Wonan’s shelter.–suddenly Jace appeared. It seemed he wanted her to be the calender girl for his new motorcycle and clothing line. He knew she would be perfect–she refused but Jace was stubborn and not about to give up!
Dixie and the other females of the town (which included Dixie’s Mom) had a BIG surprise in store at the auction.
Dixie finally had to accept that she would be the face of Jace’s company and goes with him to NYC which is where it gets hot and heavy. Neither will admit that it is more then a one time fling–but Dixie is heartbroken again. They go back and forth, on again off again.
This one will keep you hopping–will they get together or won’t they. Can both of them leave the past behind and learn to accept each other as they are. I am sure you will enjoy this one!!
Finally the highly anticipated story for Dixie! After falling in love with the rest of the Whiskey boys, I was so excited we were finally getting Dixie’s story! As the princess to the MC and a very strong independent woman, Dixie knows her worth and knows what she wants out of life, but she doesn’t see anyone that is able to step up to the plate and take on her family to be with her. There enters Jace, a man from Dixie’s past who while he had initial feelings for her, didn’t want to lead her on especially at a young age. But now they are both older, and Jace is starting to realize that he wants the family unit and love that everyone else has, and when fate brings Dixie back into his life he decides to take his chance. I really loved that Melissa was able to provide us the character of Dixie, because she is such a strong and powerful woman and it’s interesting to see that although she wants what everyone else has, she refuses to settle for anything less. I also really loved the dynamic between Jace and Dixie, and how they really pushed each other in multiple aspects of each other’s lives. I was so happy with how this series ended with these characters and can’t wait to see if Melissa will continue in the Whiskey’s MC world!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
It feels like we have waited a decade for Dixie’s story, which is kind of fitting since she waited a decade to be claimed by Jace. But honestly Dixie has been such a part of all the Whiskey family’s stories I felt like I knew her story already. She was such a strong yet caring kick arse biker princess I was dying to see who was going to get passed the Whiskey brothers and the Dark Knights to win her over.
And I didn’t even think of Jace. Probably because he hasn’t been that involved in any of the other books. But I loved who he was in relation to Silver Stone bikes and the connection to Bullet. It just wrapped him into the family so perfectly.
The whole relationship between Jace and Dixie was either hot as hell or angsty as hell. I felt like the book had me on a huge roller-coaster ride and I really loved every minute of it. Jace played his cards so close to his chest he left us all holding our breath to see what he was thinking. Because we knew where his heart was at and we knew the kind of man he was we just didn’t know WTF he was doing.
But man when he goes big he really does it right. That last ten percent of the book wrapped it all up to perfection and I put the book down with a huge smile. I love visiting the Whiskeys and seeing new additions to the families and new relationships being formed. As well as being introduced to more cousins for more series to read.
I can’t wait to get my hands on Quincey’s book next because damn that boys story will be tortured. And he absolutely deserves a big huge happily ever after. And hopefully there will be some more Whiskey babies being added to the family too. I love Peaceful Harbor.
I loved Dixie. I too loved sexy Jace. It just something about the name Jace that makes me just swoon. This Jace. For this read was all that and then some. Dixie Whiskey gets her man. Strong, sexy, alpha. Sweet, sassy, sexy (herself) Dixie finds her forever in one Jace Stone.
Dixie Whiskey gets her man. Strong, sexy, alpha. Sweet, sassy, sexy (herself) Dixie finds her forever in one Jace Stone. A decade in the making. Dixie finally had a chance with the man of her heart. She finds that this romance not as easy as it seems to look for others. It takes some hard work, some tears, some heartache, and maybe even a punch or two. With protective brothers and a brotherhood behind her she finds that getting the man of her heart will not be so easy.
I found this Whiskey romance to be real emotional and just a bit different from the others. Dixie showed a more feminine side and that just really rubbed her raw. She showed that she was more than just bark. She had a bite that a few people experienced. There was so much more to Dixie Whiskey. Jace was most certainly her match. It just took him a little bit longer to figure that all out for himself.
Taming My Whiskey (The Whiskeys: The Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor #6 Love in Bloom #67) by Melissa Foster is Dixie Whiskey’s story. Dicie us the youngest Whiskey and the only girl. If you haven’t read her brother’s story please do. She is the green eyed fiery red head who kicks butts and takes name. She has wanted Lucas every since she was 18. When he breezed into town she is taken by surprise when he not only wants her to be the face of his motorcycle inspired clothes but wins her in the charity auction. Lucas has wanted Dixie ever since he saw her at the bike rally when she was 18 yrs old. Now he wants to act on those feelings. The problem is he cant promise her anything. One encounter together changes the game. Both have their own issues. Even though they want to be together they have have quite a few emotional hurdles. I love this author’s stories. She always take me on a journey of love. This journey was filled with their ups and downs insecurities and doubts. However the chemistry between the two was hot hot hot. When Jace was on he was on, the ultimate lover and romantic. I especially loved the ending. Another 5 star read for me.
So must sexiness from Melissa Foster in Taming My Whiskey!
Jace DOTH protest too much!
I loved everything about Jace and Dixie! Dixie is take no crap from anyone especially from a man who will capture her heart. Jace, to me, protested too much what he wanted when in reality he really wanted everything Dixie had to offer. The path to their HEA was wrought with difficulty at every turn….usually from Jace! But he redeems himself in the end which is all that really matters. Melissa Foster brings her ‘A’ game just like always! Bring on more Whiskeys!

Taming My Whiskey was the sixth book in the Whiskey, Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series by Melissa Foster.
Dixie was the last Whiskey, the lone female sibling, to find love. How could she with three older over the top, protective, alpha biker brothers scaring any potential dates away since she was a child. She was no longer a child, but was now a gorgeous, strong, feisty and sexy red headed fireball. She was known as a ball buster – admired and respected by all.
Jace Stone was a long time friend of the Whiskey brothers. He was co-owner of the high end custom design bikes, Silver-Stone. He was a tall, gorgeous and sexy, alpha male. He was a workaholic and a wanderer, never staying in one place for long. He was launching a new line and needed a face and model for his brand. Dixie was not only the perfect woman, but the only woman who could fill the role.
I loved both characters. They were strong, fierce, loyal and lovable. I preferred less resistance and desired something sooner than was what experienced, but once we got there, I couldn’t stop reading. I totally fell in love right alongside Jace and Dixie.
True to form, it was well written and well developed. As expected, Foster had a variety of characters from all of her other series co-mingled within the storyline. I typically try to keep up with (and remember) them all, but with so many, I totally went with the flow with Taming My Whiskey. They added depth and dimension as well as continuing to set the stage for future books. We were teased with Jace’s large family – so we’ll definitely see them pop up somewhere. Next up in this series is the long awaited story for Quincy, the Gritty Truth. Additionally, we’ll finally get Justin Wicked’s story soon in the first book of The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside. As always, I’m all in with Foster’s books, so bring it on!
5 star
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Tru Blue (The Whiskeys #1)
Truly, Madly, Whiskey (The Whiskeys #2)
Driving Whiskey Wild (The Whiskeys, #3)
Wicked Whiskey Love (The Whiskeys, #4)
Mad About Moon (The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor #5)
This is Dixie and Jase‘s story. Dixie is the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club. So she knows how to take care of herself and does not have to worry about a man saving her. As her brothers have found love she wishes for love for herself but knows the man she wants is out of reach. Jase needs help and the one woman that can help him can also destroy him at the same time. One kiss and a handful of brothers turn this into crazy time. But she wants forever and he wants a good time. When will win out in the end or will she just walk away?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.
I feel like I’ve been waiting for Dixie Whiskey’s story since the first book in this fan-freaking-tastic The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series. Since first meeting her, I knew she’d love big. Love hard. And whomever was lucky enough to earn her love and her heart was going to have to be a strong, smart, sexy AF man.
And that’s exactly who Jace Stone is. And he’s absolutely perfect for Dixie. And fits right in with the over-protective men in her life—her father and her overbearing, overly involved in her love life brothers.
God, I loved this romance between Jace and Dixie. They pushed and pulled and denied their feelings for so long. And when they finally got together—lord, there were enough sparks generated to power a small country for a year!
Taming My Whiskey is my favorite of the series—which is saying a lot because I think each of the books is a ten star read! But there was just something about Jace and Dixie and their love that pushed them ahead on the list, that something I’m still trying to figure out. But I will tell you, once I started the book I didn’t put it down, didn’t take a break, barely acknowledged my surroundings until I read the last word. ~ 5 stars, but I’d give it 10 stars if I could.
Oh Dixie, I always knew you were a strong woman. I never dreamed you’d be this much fun to see fall in love. When Dixie fell, she fell. There is no halfway with this lady. She dove in headfirst and never looked back. Okay, yes, she fell when she was 18 and didn’t understand what it all meant but she set her eyes on Jace never wavering from her decision. I love that she didn’t make it easy on Jace. She made him work for it, let her heart get broken, but never closed it off to the happiness that she knew she deserved.
Jace, I thought you were going to lose her a time or two. Jace made stupid mistakes that only a man who was head over heals in love would make. He learned quickly, although not quick enough for Dixie, and made his amends in grand ways. He loved, learned from his mistakes, and worshipped Dixie as she deserves. Jace is the biggest alpha male and the only one who could stand by Dixie’s side.
Taming My Whiskey is amazing. It is a story of family, love, and strength. The strong female lead character is what I expected of a Whiskey and Jace is the perfect husband for her. Melissa Foster did an amazing job of updating the readers on the rest of the Whiskey Family while not letting them overshadow Dixie and her story.
Omg!! Dixie Whiskey and Jace Stone are so hot it’s unbelievable how good this story was. From past books and getting to know Dixie I always knew it would take some man with big balls to stand up to her brother’s and fight for her!! Boy oh Boy Jace does not disappoint. Dixie has had a crush for Jace for years, but he thought she was too young for him even though he definitely DID notice her. Their chemistry was off the charts HOT but it was the sweet moments between these two that really got to me. I loved the soft side of Jace and the vulnerable side to Dixie it’s what really made this the BEST Whiskey story for me so far!! Thank you Melissa Foster for all the words and feels this story brought – Whiskey Fever has HIT again!!!
Melissa Foster, what have you done! My heart literally exploded with this book! Not only do we have a book about Dixie Whiskey who in my opinion is the epitome of awesomeness. But we also have the hot alpha billionaire, Jace Stone to contend with! OMG!
This book was just full of deliciousness. Dixie and Jace’s connection were amazing in this book, although there were a few times I wanted to smack them across the head as a simple conversation would have stopped any miscommunication that went on. These two characters are such like-minded, goal orientated, family driven characters who just seem to love people so hard without meaning too. For Dixie to have loved her teenage crush for so long and finally get her happily ever after…what more could you ask for!
Also, the rest of the Whiskey’s are here as is the appearance of some characters who it seems will have their own books in the near future (yay). I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so just go and read this book and fall in love with the Whiskey family, and then go back and read the series from the beginning…it’s going to be worth it!
