Yeah, I’m cocky. I have a reason to be. Women love me.
And not just because I play for one of the most popular rock bands in the world. But because I know exactly how to make a woman’s body sing in ways she never thought possible. And hell, if I’ll ever give that up.
I’m the wild in Wild Irish, and I have no intention of ever being tamed.
Until Makena Fraser practically falls into my lap – …
Until Makena Fraser practically falls into my lap – twice.
And the woman has me thinking about all kinds of messed up things. Like family. And promises. And making sure no one ever hurts her again.
I’ve lived by one rule: Don’t worry about tomorrow.
But now I’m not just worrying about my tomorrows, I’m ready to give her every one of mine.
I am so in love with Shane! I could say he’s my favorite, but who am I kidding. I loved them all. Shane and Makena’s story brought all the feels that had me crying for different reasons, swooning, laughing, and definitely squirming in my seat from the hot chemistry between them. CM Seabrook not only has brought amazing characters to life, but has also managed to bring Ireland to life for me. Each book has taken me to a different beautiful scenic Ireland or a cozy pub where everyone knows everyone. Taming Irish just sucked me in and I couldn’t get enough.
Shane and Makena’s story starts with Makena accidentally landing on Shane’s lap on her flight to Ireland. Leaving behind unwanted media attention and her ass wipe of an ex, her cousin Quinn convinces her to do a house swap for 6 months. Shane has always been honest about never wanting to settle down. There’s no tomorrow with this man, and that’s the way he likes it. One unforgettable encounter on his trip back home, has him thinking and feeling things he shouldn’t want. But with Makena having severe trust issues and a wounded heart, the last thing she needs is a man like Shane, or does she?
Taming Irish is the third and last book of this series. Not only does CM Seabrook give you Shane and Makena’s epilogue, but you get a bonus epilogue as well which I love! This whole series has been addicting, so it’s kind of bittersweet the series is over. Amazingly written in dual POV and very easy to read, Taming Irish isn’t a book you want to miss out on.
I have yet to read a book by C.M. Seabrook that I haven’t liked, and Taming Irish is no exception. I loved reading and following Shane and Makena’s story and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Shane is the last member of Wild Irish who remains single and he can’t understand why his friends choose their wives against their music.
Makena needs to get away from all the fuss about her divorce with a famous actor and she chooses Ireland to stay for six months.
The book travels through their feelings. From the very first time Shane lays eyes on Makena, he feels a bond with her and although he wants to stay free without commitments, it is really difficult to resist the hidden force that takes him towards her.
I love this series where the author does a great job to show us how their feelings change in a way we can see it as if we were watching it from inside the book.
A great series you won’t regret reading. I’ll miss the “wild” guys and her loved ones.
Really more like 4.5/5. A little different – not quite the standard formula, so quite refreshing. Well edited.
Makena is recovering from a rather nasty and public divorce, so she listens to her cousin and embarks on a 6-month house swap. Makena trades her home with a woman in Ireland. On the flight over, she meets Shane – the last surviving bachelor of Wild Irish. Except, Makena has no idea who Wild Irish is, let alone that Shane is a member and therefore a celebrity. As her ex-husband is a celebrity, that would be a huge mark against any chance Shane would have with her. A few days later, Shane gets a call from a friend, asking him to check on the woman staying in her cottage. Imagine the surprise on both parts when Makena opens the door to Shane. Insanely attracted to each other, they try to fight it and remain in the friend zone. This is quite futile, and they embark on a whirlwind romance. There are a few ups and downs, but mostly their relationship is moving along in a linear fashion. Although neither really wants to admit to wanting to try a real, lasting relationship. Once they embrace their feelings, they own them, and vow to move forward. However, there is one obstacle neither really see coming. Will everything work out well? Hmmmm…..
I really liked that this flowed well, and went a little outside the typical formula. There wasn’t a real ‘we’re together but one of does something stupid (usually the guy), she runs and hides and cries, but decides to move on, while he realizes he can’t live without her and comes groveling back to grab the HEA’. Instead, they move through their issues, slowly realizing and talking about their fears and feelings. The only thing Shane never really talks about is that he lives his life the way he does because he fears that he will die young like his father. In his mind, it is better to live carefree and unattached than to love and then leave a grieving wife and children behind. Shane and Makena realize and admit their feelings, but just before they can ride into the sunset they face a near tragedy. Fortunately, this is a romance novel, and things turn out well.
This was a really quick, light, and fun read. Nice ending to the Wild Irish ride. Enjoy.
Makena is on her way to Ireland to get away from her unhappy life in the US. Her douchey ex husband has made her life unbearable, and when her cousin Quinn found a house swap for her, she knew she had to take the chance. During the flight she comes face to face with the man who can end up giving her his tomorrows, if she can take a chance on love again, and if he can let himself believe he’s found the one to satisfy him, someone who makes him want to stick around.
Shane is the ultimate rock god – sexy, charming and with trouble lurking in his eyes. He loves pleasure, his music, and his family, and that’s it. Until Makena falls into him on their flight. One look and he knew he was in trouble. But, Makena is hurting, and Shane’s not one for commitment, so what’s a guy to do when he can’t stop thinking about a woman he knows he should leave alone?
I love seeing these two fall in love and I love that Shane really is a good guy despite him thinking he isn’t. Taming Irish is the perfect rockstar read – sexy, sweet and it will tug on your heartstrings a little.
With Makena and Shane, we find while you can take the Irish out the Wild there is no taking the Wild out the Irish! Makena was harangued into a six month house swap by her well meaning cousin to help her reboot after very public divorce from her donkey of an ex. His betrayal has left her wounded and she hopes this time will help mend the damage he left on her tattered heart. Meeting a cocky player on the turbulent plane ride over wouldn’t be what she normally consider a sign, but after some well meaning prodding and a lot wine, she figures what the hay a vacation fling may be just the ticket. Shane has always been the good time boy and likes the title. With his mates all getting shackled and subsequently taking the band down with them as well, he has been feeling like the odd man out lately. Makena is like a breath of fresh air, oblivious to his fame and hesitant to give in to his charms. He knows he should stay away from her as she isn’t a love’em and leave’em type girl, but he is helpless to deny their pull. For the first time Shane is thinking he may want to plan a tomorrow but with his past and her bruised heart will he get the chance to change his ways?
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
I loved this book , I love all of this authors books, she surprises me every time, she makes it so hard to decide who my absolute favorite member of Wild Irish is. Shane was never even on my radar and now, Gah , I want more of the smirky, bad boy. He fell so hard and fast and all the emotions he went through, I felt like an emotional mess with all the feels. I love that Shane was true to his character he was always up front about not getting serious, he never wanted to do the whole family and future thing, and let all the ladies know this, he was so secluded in the beginning of the book with all of his family and band members getting domesticated. He meets Makena on a flight this woman who has been drugged through the mud, is house swapping , and moving to Ireland for six months to escape her life, her past, and try to find herself again . They meet again when Shane is doing a favor for his friends and decides to take her out on a date no knowing that its her. They start off as friends and the spark is so huge they now that they will never be the same again , they have met their perfect match. This review does no justice to the story, Its is so good and heartwarming and I just love it, did I mention he has a Irish accent in the book like all the other members that everytime Shane talks I just melt into a puddle.
A wonderful romantic read. He’s reluctant to fall in love & she’s terrified to try again after her ex husband shattered her trust!!
Media attention, a stalker, family, friends & love it self make this book into a wonderful read that takes you away to the rolling hills of Ireland & wraps you up in a tale of seduction that becomes their everything!!
An amazing final epilogue that looks at all of the Wild Irish family a few years in the future!! Definitely recommend from me.

Makena has been disappointed by life. She’s lost everything she thought was important to her. She’s come to Ireland to find out who she is and where she wants to go with her life from here.
Shane is the quintessential happy bachelor for life. He’s happy with the way things are and has no intentions of changing anything. But he’s drawn to Makena.
Shane knows he wants to spend time with Makena, and Makena knows she should have nothing to do with Shane. Makena feels the need to protect herself and the only way she knows to do that is to stay away from Shane. Easier said than done.
I was sure that I wasn’t going to like Shane because of how he was in previous books in the series: cocky, overly sure of his own appeal, and not at all supportive of the relationships of his band mates. As the story progressed, I couldn’t help but feel like he wasn’t at all how he appeared in the other books. Regardless of his standpoint on relationships, he treated Makena with respect and spent time with her….in and out of bed!
I’ve loved every one of the books in this series, and feel like I got to know all of the characters well. I think Shane and Makena are my favorite because of how real they are. There were hardships in both of their lives, that they had to get past. There were twists and turns in this story that I could never have predicted, that kept me entertained until the very last word! Excellent story, in a fabulous series!
Loved this 3rd book in the Wild Irish series featuring the last member of the group who can’t believe his bandmates have given up touring to settle down, Shane. He’s not sure what to make of Makena, whom he meets on an airplane, when she has no idea that he’s a member of Wild Irish, i.e. rock royalty in the eyes of the rest of the world! Trying hard to remain a gentleman, Makena will have to call him if she wants to see him again. Unbeknownst to Shane, Makena is actually retreating to Ireland to hide from the notoriety of her divorce from a Hollywood actor.
The title of the book is aptly named as I thought the author did a wonderful job of gently “taming” Shane without losing some of his bad boy rocker personality. I loved how protective he became of Makena once he realized his stalker might strike out at her as well as trying to shield her from the public eye since she was trying to avoid the limelight because of her ex. This story has a climactic end and a great epilogue to finish their romance.
Taming Irish was a great addition and wonderful ending to the Wild Irish series. I loved Shane and Makena’s heartwarming story. Who knew under Shane’s wild playboy exterior there was a hidden romantic. A man who is actually quite sweet. Finding Makena changed Shane and unearthed his unseen qualities. Shane quickly finds that being with Makena is like coming home and makes him want to give her all his tomorrows. The road to forever is a bumpy one but one worth traveling as long as she’s there with him at the end of it all. Now all he has to do is confess his feelings and convince her to stay.

C.M.’s books just keep getting better!
Her books are always so easy to read; they’re the type of book you pick up intending to read a chapter and poof! It’s three hours later and you’re halfway through the story. (That happened to me with this one, in particular).
I loved that Shane wasn’t as happy-go-lucky as he wanted everyone to think he was. Another side of him was revealed early on, and that was just so endearing.
And I really felt for Makena. She definitely got the “short end of the love stick,” and wasn’t really ready to trust another man. Shane understood that and tried his darndest to do right by her.
They’re one of those couples that just “clicked” at first sight, knowing there was something special about the other, and I absolutely LOVE that element in stories.
This book had the added low-stress “mystery” element in the form of anonymous letters Shane was receiving. Could it be the woman he was “involved” with in the last book? Hmmm…….
All in all, I just absolutely love C.M.’s romances, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!!!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
