Do people say they hate someone’s guts so that they can still fall stupidly, head-over-heels in love with the other parts?
Asking for a friend.
Okay, fine. I’m not asking for a friend.
I’m asking for me—and I’m begging you to tell me that the practice of falling in love with your should-be-enemy is common.
Please tell me that I’m not the only person to track down a guy—who used to be … guy—who used to be Hollywood’s baddest bad boy before he left LA for good—at his off-the-grid cabin in Alaska, show up unannounced, and find him gloriously naked.
This probably happens all the time…right?
Tell me I’m not alone in my stupidity—that I’m not the only woman who would fall for gorgeous blue eyes and a sexy devilish smirk, even if they belong to a broody, mysterious jerk.
Please. Please. Please. Tell me I’m not alone in this.
For the love of everything, I need all the supportive girl power I can get if I’m going to convince Luca Weaver to come back to Hollywood—otherwise known as the place he hates so much that he ghosted Oscar-level success and escaped to no-man’s-land for the last eight years just to avoid it.
Yeah, don’t worry—that smoke you’re smelling isn’t your house catching fire as you read this…it’s just my career and what was previously known as my heart going up in flames.
Gah. Is it just me, or am I totally, completely, and utterly screwed?

“He was Hollywood’s sexy bad boy, rebel without a causea present-day James Dean. Now, though he’s a hot Alaskan lumberjack of a man with absolutely no desire to go back in time. But, too bad for him, he’s the brand-new owner of a big fat thorn in his [fluffing] side. I have ten-days in this state and dammit, I will us every single on of them before I admit defeat. I have too much on the line.”
How do you convince Luca WeaverHollywood’s Baddest Boy turned Alaska’s Number One Boy Scout Recluseto come back to Hollywood to save your job? Billie Harris is about to find out.
Laugh-out-loud hilarious, witty, sexy, fighting-to-falling romance that has everything you could want in a great read and then some. Luca and Billie’s story has adventure, laughs, heartache, swoon-worthy moments and the cutest dog everI heart Bailey!
Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy is a stand-alone novel.
This book was awesome! Hilarious and outrageous, sexy and steamy! Max Monroe baddest boy, Luca, is fantastic! Cheeky, sarcastic and completely yummy! Billie is smart, funny and tenacious. They both come together so well. Their interactions were hilarious and fun. Also very hot. I loved this book so much. I didn’t want to put it down.
All hail King Richard! Max Monroe is at it again in Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy. Just when I thought there was no way they could top Six in the Mavericks locker room with the Dr Seuss of male anatomy they whip out King Richard.
Luca was Hollywood’s Baddest Boy 8 years ago and then he went off the grid. Billie is a cute country girl gone Hollywood with a movie running through her mind at all times. Their meeting is one of the most memorable ever! Luca is not very likable in the beginning, but that was meant to be. An outing and a fall will then make you swoon for Luca. Great supporting characters. An Alaskan wilderness adventure. Hysterical Max Monroe moments that really make you want to check your surroundings before reading. I crown Max Monroe the Queens of rom-com.
Please tell me there is a Rocky book coming next!
I just have to say if laughter cures everything you will be feeling cured by your giggles and belly laughs before you meet the main characters properly. Also probably best not to read in the same room as your sleeping toddlers if your not a silent laugher. This recommendation comes by way of King Richard, you’ll meet him too. Absolutely Max and Monroe doing what they do best making us laugh, swoon and fall in love, especially with Bailey. From start to finish I loved it and you will to.

I never thought another Hero would be in the running with Kline Brooks, but for goodness sakes Max Monroe had to go and have me fall head over heels for Hollywood’s Baddest Boy himself; Luca Weaver. I always thought my love for Kline would never waiver, but all the yumminess that comes with this hero, seriously has me questioning myself. I wasn’t so sure within’ the first chapter or two if I was even going to like Max Monroe’s newest Hero but I quickly realized, he was vying for the top spot.
The way that Max Monroe wove the tale of of Billie and Luca is beyond me but nonetheless, it was incredible. Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy story-line was done so much different than your average swaying an actor/actress to your needs. It was a fine tuned, hilarious in -depth story that played out like a movie in my head. Nothing was left unnoticed. The development was something that made the stars align. The witty banter was some of the best that these authors has EVER done, no joke this would make for one heck of a Rom-Com movie. These characters were the best. They were so different from one another, one calm, the other the storm, and yet I could not have chosen two people who mash so well together. Their chemistry from being so different is what made them so explosive, and trust me when I say they were explosive.
Billie is my unicorn, she was the best. Her personality is the best I have ever seen done. She had me on the floor laughing so dang hard. This small town country girl, who really isn’t country turned Hollywood is one going down in history books.
Luca is Hollywood’s former Baddest Boy, now known as a lumberjack. He’d rather have the peace and the tranquility from the mountains surrounding him, than the need and greed from Hollywood. I could not get enough of him. His need to fix his wrongs was inspiring.
What happens when the open bubbly woman sets her sights on the town recluse to advance in life?
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK
These crazy ladies have done it again. Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy was hilarious, sweet and endearing. I loved Billie’s tenacity and strength. Seriously the things that girl deals with throughout this story. She deserves a medal y’all. Lol Her and her sister’s southernisms had me rolling. Then you have Luca. He starts off as a broody and abrasive mountain man that you feel like kicking in the shin sometimes. But throughout their journey he morphs into just the right kind of swoon book boyfriend that we can’t get enough of. By then end you’re rooting for him to get the girl. There’s some obvious spin off potential but these ladies don’t give much away this time around. Not sure who will be next but I can’t wait for more from Hollywood and Max Monroe.
Another fabulous, hilarious romance from Max Monroe. I fell in love with this book from the moment I started reading. Billie and Luca’s al fresco meeting and all I knew was I was going to be smiling the whole time I was reading this book. And laughing! I loved Billie and the banter she had with Luca was classic Max Monroe. Even though Luca was not happy with having someone find him after so many years away from Hollywood, you could sense the attraction between these two right away. And that attraction did not let up, their “arguing” just made their attraction hotter until they stopped ignoring it. And wow! Sooo good and perfect for Billie and Luca.
I really enjoyed Billie’s sister, Birdie and I hope we get a story for her. And even though we never officially met Luca’s sister, Raquel ‘Rocky’, I hope we get a story for her too.
I would highly recommend this book and just know that you will smile, laugh and root for Billie and Luca to get their happy ending.
I’ve enjoyed every Max Monroe book I’ve ever read and I’ve read pretty much all of them. When I heard we were getting some new words, I just couldn’t wait and thankfully I didn’t have to for long. This book did not disappoint. There was so much tension from their first meeting; I think the pages were vibrating. Or maybe that was just Billie. I guess if I was confronted by a beautiful, naked, built, angry man (did I mention he wasn’t wearing any clothes?), I’d be a little jittery, too.
Luca Weaver was Hollywood’s Baddest Boy until he walked off a movie set and disappeared from the world 8 years ago. Before he flew the coop, Luca was a household name. He was in the biggest movies. Went to the best parties. Knew all the right people. Until enough was enough and he had to change his life or he wouldn’t have a life anymore.
Billie Harris is working as a Production Assistant in Hollywood, working for a producer who has the hottest new script in town. Billie offered up Luca as the male lead, like she was a personal friend, instead of just a girl who had a crush on an actor when she was younger. Now all she had to do was find him, get him to read the script and agree to come back to Hollywood. Easier said than done, even if she had overheard his Agent mention his name while she was at lunch the day before.
Off the grid Billie goes to find her Hollywood Leading Man. And when she finds him, he is not too happy to see her, especially since he has no idea who she is or what she wants. I love the give and take between Luca and Billie. They’re both stubborn, hard-headed and think their way is the right way. The chemistry is insane, almost as insane as the trek through the forest that Billie follows Luca on so she can try to wear him down.
I can definitely say this is one of my favorite Max Monroe books. Maybe it’s because of the plotline, or the fact that the female lead is a sarcastic, loudmouth, loves her sister, type of chick I hope to be if I ever grow up. They are just perfect together, but first they need to figure that out for themselves before they both blow it. What a great read!
Hands down, this is my favorite Max Monroe book to date and they’ve all been great but this one was fantastic! Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy is not what you expect at all. It actually felt like several books in one. It obviously hits on Hollywood and making movies, but most of the book is actually set in Alaska.
Billie is a production assistant working in Hollywood, and when casting the next spy movie, she accidentally throws out a name no one has heard from in 8 years, former bad boy celebrity, Luca Weaver. Once they all agree he would be perfect for the part, it’s assumed Billie will know how to get in touch with him. But, she doesn’t actually know him. However, she’s just stubborn and driven enough to find this man. She eventually tracks him down deep into the Alaskan wilderness and their first meeting does not go well! They definitely start out as enemies, barely tolerating each other. Ten days together in the Alaskan wilderness turns them from enemies into more, but they leave on bad terms. The second half of the book was set in Hollywood and was almost like a second chance romance trope.
The entire cast of characters from the hero and heroine to all the secondary including the meddling older sister, old school smoking agent, silver haired retired movie star to the brown nosing competition were all perfectly cast. Not only that, Billie is from West Virginia and the accent and country songs were a great addition to the whole story. This would make such a great movie! There was so much to love about this book and one I will be rereading over and over again! Highly recommend!
