Pix seems to be a free spirit; Beckett seems to be surly. There is more inside each of them. When they meet, there is an attraction, but both are used to shying away from any involvement. However, even the short time they have spent has brought them closer. Can they learn to trust and reach out? Taming Her Bear is a sweet romance that I enjoyed.

I am a sucker for bear shifters and this one has a bear and a dragon. It can’t get any more on fire than that! I love the heat and the connection and I couldn’t put the story down.

Hot enough to melt snow…
This one is hot enough to melt snow and that’s not including the heat from Pix’s dragon! Neither Pix or Beckett are looking for forever but fate could care less what those two want. Guess they need to learn that you can’t fight fate.

However will pix be able to confess to Beckett that she is a dragon shifter or will ot tear them apart. This is a wonderful read with much flirtation. Pix is a wondering shifter that does not fit in with her kind. She breaks free and chooses to live her life by her own rules.
Beckett is grizzly bear shifter that has trouble controlling his animal side from time to time.
Both characters believe that long term relationship are not possible due to their unruly animals.

AAH!! Beautifully done. I loved it. Pix is so sweet and Beckett is just huge, at least that is what Pix thinks. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Pix is a wanderer seeking a place where her inner dragon feels settled and safe, Beckett is a brute of a man with a bear he can nearly control but can their strength match or harm each other. The attraction between them is electric, the characters so engaging and fun. Just a cozy romance with only a bit of conflict, a very enjoyable read.

This is another installment in the Silvertip Bears series. This story is about Beckett who has a hard time controlling his bear. Pix is best friends with Cortez’s mate, Haley. She’s just in town to visit Haley when she meets Beckett! I really love is series. I love the small mountain town and the characters who live there. I love that it’s a huge family of bears who run an exclusive shifter mountain retreat! If you like shifter books this is the series for you!

Delicious Shifter Series the Bear.
This is one of the more romantic shifter series out there and I’m happy about that. I don’t need shifters always in conflict but like to see them in a more normal setting…like Deep Hollow where Beckett is a local from and a famed wood carver. Visiting Haley is Pix from Boston who is a Dragon shifter. Beckett and Pix are immediately attracted to each other and decide to spend time together. Pix can tell Beckett is a bear and tells him. She doesn’t tell him she is a dragon and unfortunately he finds out accidentally. He gets angry and storms off. He comes to realize he is her mate. Will he? Or is it too late?
I love this shifter series that’s more about relationships than fighting bad people. The characters are always believable. Yes, I know that may sound weird but it’s true. I’m definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

I received this great read curtesy of Booksprout. It was the perfect length to enjoy all the way through to the last page without having to put it down. I absolutely loved “Bang ‘Em Beckett, the Tough and wild Grizzly Bear shifter. And Pix was a small but perfect dragon shifter package. Their instant “like” and their competitive spirit held me salivating for them from the very beginning. I would’ve loved to hear more of Pix’s background story, but it didn’t deter from my enjoying hers and Beckett’s story. The way they finally introduce themselves almost brought tears. I’ll be dreaming tonight of the steam coming off this story. So I’m gladly volunteering to give this review
3.5 stars due to a couple of plot snafues.
Short, sweet and enjoyable but just wasn’t enough to make it special.
Starts of really well with these two flirting then quickly ends.
I hated his nickname BANG EM BECKETT, earned due to his one-night only attitude, especially as there was so much more to him than that. Glad Pix could see that about him.
Pix is commitment phobic too so these two make a great pair.
Great that Pix is a dragon shifter and equal to dealing with Becketts growly bear side.
Found the fact Beckett gives Pix the mating bite when they haven’t even acknowledged they are mates a bit naughty.
Yes, they are both calling each other mate in their respective heads but never discuss or admit this very important fact.
This book was kindly offered by the author but I chose to read it through KU. This is my honest review
What do you get when two commitment-phobes are attracted to each other? Sparks and misunderstandings galore! Throw in a mating and the animals are roaring over how stupid their humans can be. Fortunately, the animals and the humans’ friends know when to put in their two cents’ worth to fix the situation. I found this story fun and unfortunately close to home; I’m sure that others will fill the same way.
Another great story in the series, lot of action, lot of fun.
Actually #3, not #6 according to GoodReads.
This is Book 3 of the Silvertip Shifters series by J.K. Harper. (For those who aren’t familiar with the term “silvertip”, it’s what they call the brown bears that live in a swath of territory from Alaska down into Colorado where the tips of the guard hairs have a silvery wisp to them. In the wild, they can take on a rather ghostly appearance rather than just being brown, depending on the light.
Anyway…
We are now introduced to Pix, a dragon shifter, who a wild child. She breaks away from her clan in order to gain her personal freedom. She finds herself in Deep Hollow, visiting a wolf shifter whose house sitting for the alphas who are on a world cruise. (The same one in Book #1.) She meets up with Beckett Walker, one of the Alpha Walker’s sons, and the two hit it off. She guesses he’s a bear shifter (which really wasn’t a hard guess because most of Deep Hollow is made up of bear shifters), but she never reveals her own animal. Thus begins a friendship that could end up being more permanent except… (SPOILER ALERT!)… Beckett later finds out she could have told him of her shifter status after he had been open and honest about his. Both get angry with each other, then later at themselves when they’re by themselves… Yeah, it’s the over-used formula used if that’s all that is done in the book.
If you read my other review, you would have heard me whine about the page-reporting discrepancy of at least 50 pages. This time, it’s only 30 pages. Yeah, this story was only 124 pages, not 154 pages. The writer could have used those thirty pages and fleshed this story out a tad more, making it better than this version. Sure, “Beckett’s Bears” is much more lucrative than Cabbage Patch dolls or Beanie Babies. Nice that Beckett’s good with his hands. Great that Pix is an up-and-coming artist, but we see so little of that. Just a mere mention. I’m intrigued about the introduction of dragon shifters in this world, but ho- hum… I would have loved to have learned more about the money-worshipping dragons in this universe. Lots of interesting ways to make Beckett’s and Pix’s background stories to make them more intriguing characters. Right now, they aren’t. And the ending feels rushed.
Read through KU like I did if you want some brain candy.
