She prefers horses to heirs…Amelia West, the highly independent daughter of a penniless gentleman, has no use for London society and the superficial cruelty of the marriage market. She prefers to spend her time on the estate of the Earl of Croftridge in rural Yorkshire, where she grew up, and which she’s managed since her father’s death. The current Earl is pursuing a life of dissipation in the … dissipation in the city, leaving Amelia free to do as she pleases — and it pleases her greatly to help the less fortunate and rescue neglected animals.
He’s chosen devilry over duty…
Haunted by his brother’s death, John Mowbray does his best to numb the pain with liquor, gaming, and women. He doesn’t deserve to be the Earl, and would rather pretend he isn’t. Until, that is, he learns that his estate manager may be swindling him.
A meeting of the minds…
John can scarcely credit the temerity of the upstart young woman who’s taken over his manor. Amelia wishes the reprobate Earl would go back to London and leave her to her good works. Can they both learn to see past their prejudices for the good of the estate?

I really loved Amelia’s sense of self and independence. The interplay between Amelia and John was witty and fun. I was pulled right into the story and fell in love with everything!
God read.
Better than average romance.
Quite entertaining. The heroine has been left to her own devices as steward of an estate, and takes the opportunity to assist a few less fortuante creatures; the hero thinks he is being swindled, so goes to check it out. The result is a great mixture of fiesty female and crusty male that isn’t quite so crusty. A good tale.
Starts with Amelia being farm manager to WhiteStone. The Earl comes thinking she is stealing from him, when in fact she is rescuing animal’s and people. Through it all they fall in love
Amelia West and John Mowbray the Earl of Croftridge do not get off to a good start , she has taken over looking after his estate since her father died and he believes she is swindling him. A well written story that kept me smiling as I read this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A delightful short story.
A story full of critters and love what a grand mix. Amelia is a totally awesome character does not like balls rather see to her animals and takes care of an estate yes she has to deal with the Earl, but she deals very nicely with him. It is a fun and sweet read maybe a little bit more proofing should be done, but that did not take away the delight I felt reading the story. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Amelia and Lord Croftridge were perfect for each other. These two characters had just the right amount of ire for each other to explode into love. This was such a fun story to read!

I’d like to think I’d be like Amelia if I lived in the Regency era….taking care of animals instead of attending balls! lol This was a sweet story that only took a couple of hours to read and it did leave a smile on my lips when I finished reading it.
I loved how Amelia took care of all these injured, starved and unwanted animals. Giving them a second chance at life really warmed my heart. She is a delightful heroine who stays true to herself and would rather spend money taking care of the animals than buying new gowns.
John Mowbray, the Earl of Croftridge, doesn’t know what hits him when he arrives at his estate to discover a beautiful, albeit a bedraggled looking lady, in charge of his estate! Wait until he finds out where his money is going! lol
Being a short story, there’s not much chance to really delve into the characters or the romance but there’s enough there to make it a very pleasant read:)
I was given an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Original, engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed these characters.
Great writing! A wonderful premise of a beautiful outspoken “tomboy” in Regency England. Lots of opportunities for fun meetings, horse rides, etc. Conversations are written very well. Recommend to all!
Clean well it’s got a lil cussing in it. Laugh out loud funny. Great heroine of the day.
Loved the story and the characters. Highly recommend
Loved it!
Nothing new here
I very nice romance.
Regencies are without question the shiniest jewel in the crown comprised of both the historical fiction and romance categories, and Ms Sellers’ freshman contribution is by far the most delicious I’ve devoured in quite some time! The cheeky dialogue — peppered with seductive double entendres — left me breathless with anticipation for each new interlude, and the unlikely heroine touched my heart in places I’d never have suspected (spoiler alert: she’s got an agenda! This is no helpless princess trapped in a tower here, people!). Taming A Wild Earl is NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!
