“You are wild and disobedient. A threat to yourself and all others. To save your life, we must prove you are bonded and submitted fully to us.” His voice was a guttural growl.I lick my lips and challenged, “And what if you fail?” Thorsteinn snarled. “We will not fail,” Vik said. “Sorrel, we’re going to tame you.”***Tamed by the Berserkers is best read after the Berserker Saga & the Berserker … you.”

I have inhaled every single one of Lee Savino’s Berserker books, and I’m not sure that any of them left me feeling as wrung out as this one did.
Sorrel is one of the spaewives taken from the abbey. She was living with Vik and Thorsteinn as their mate, but they left her to go on patrol and sent her to live with the unmated spaewives. Now, she’s in a cage and about to go on trial for nearly killing another spaewife. But then, Vik and Thorsteinn show up, just in the nick of time.
I have never disliked any of the Berserkers. Been mad at them a time or two, but never thought Oh, I really don’t like him all that much, at least, not until now. I have to admit that I didn’t really like Vik or Thorsteinn at the very beginning. I identified with Sorrel so much and their actions made me dislike them. However, you know that it’s not going to stay that way. They did redeem themselves.
I can’t wait for Rosalind and Juliet’s stories.
Her books never disappoint.
Love this Berserker Bride story!
I loved reading Sorrel’s story; probably because she is such a fighter. This is number six in the Berserker Brides series. Of course, it is a ménage shifter storyline with Thornsteinn, Vik, & Sorrel as the Heroes & Heroine. Sorrel is a Spaewife and, as Vik and Thornsteinn call her a shield maiden. We met these three in the first book when the Berserkers attack the Abbey to save the spaewives. Sorrel tried to fight Vik and Thor with her bow and arrow to escape. She thinks that becoming their mate means she must give up her desire for adventure but these two know what they want and that’s Sorrel and they will do whatever is necessary to keep her. Even if that means letting her fight and hunt with them. In this story we learn more about evil force that is trying to destroy both the spaewives and the berserkers. These three fight for and care for each other until they get their HEA. This story is a romance with some very hot, sexy, & bdsm scenes. The story continues with the next Berserker Brides book. I recommend the book and the series!
Another great book in the series. Sorrel was a nice change from the other women in the series as she was more of a tomboy and fiercely independent. Her character made you believe she actually could survive in the wilderness on her own. Fortunately her mates Vik and Thorsteinn appreciated her skills and trained her to further them.
I love the Berserkers.
I love the Berserkers. These stories are all fast paced, steamy reads with amazing characters. I can’t wait to read the next book
I am voluntarily reviewing an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I LOVED this book. Sorrel might be my favorite of all the spaewives. She’s strong, independent, a caregiver, and often misunderstood. She feels abandoned, and then rejected and publicly humiliated by berserkers Thornsteinn and Vik. Yet, she doesn’t back down. Every one of the Berserker Bride books has been different in there own way, keeping the series fresh and interesting. I cannot wait for the next book!!
Love Sorrel, she is stubborn, fiesty and wants to fight and be accepted for who she is. Her Berserkers are strong and understanding of her needs and teach her. Sorrels life is in danger not only from the corpse king but from th ed Beserkers because of what she did and is unable to speak of. Magic abounds in this book and the threat is getting closer. This is one of my favorite Berserker Books.
Another wonderful book in the Berserkers series by Lee Savino.
Sorrel’s sorry was different than the other books in the series. I loved her strength and resilience. She didn’t stop fighting even though she was misjudged and accused without waiting to hear her story of events. You won’t be disappointed. There is lots of action, steamy scenes and love that kept you turning the pages.
What another great installment into Ms. Savino’s berserker stories!
A woman who does not fit into the others ideas of a woman. One who has her own dreams and goals! Two men who want her but are not quite sure how to handle her differences. This causes issues in their budding relationship, they will all have to find a way to make this work. It will mean some compromise, acceptance, strong guidance, discipline, hot sexy menage scenes and a lot of love!
Book 7 in the series and it follows the story of Sorrel and Rosalind. You need to have read the previous books otherwise it won’t make sense because it start right after the last book ended.
I really felt for Sorrel, she had so much hardship, but still such a strong will to live her life as she wanted. That is also what I loved about Vik and Thorsteinn . They accepted and encouraged her. They didn’t try to change her.
It’s been a while since I’ve read any of the Berserker Books in this series & I admit it was getting a bit same-same. This entry though brings a fresh feel to the series. It can be read completely standalone although it will help if you have read some of the others to get some of the back story. I really enjoyed the interaction between the 3 main characters. This is a quick read that has a nice pace to it.
You can feel the tension building within the series plot. This seem to be coming to a head with more information being discovered as each page turns. Do you remember Sorrel? She’s always been the one who wanted to live in the wilderness. The one who kept her bow and hunter’s clothes hidden so the nuns wouldn’t find them. This is her story that involves Thorsteinn and Vik. In true berserker fashion, there’s heat between these three but it’s hard fought and well earned. If you’ve become as big a berserker fan as I have, then you don’t want to miss this one.
This was a good book. I loved how fierce Sorrel was! I would definitely recommend it.
Book 7 is finally here and while it could be read as a stand alone I recommend reading the series in order so you don’t get lost in the back story.
This is Sorrel’s story. She is a true “little warrior” as her men call her. She is brave, determined, not very trusting, and spends a lot of time trying to protect everyone, including those who don’t always treat her very well. Vik and Thorsteinn are the Berserkers who have claimed her, sort of. They have a lot of work to do if they want to truly claim her, though. Each of them have trust issues, more so Sorrel, and their journey to their HEA isn’t going to be an easy one. They need to learn to trust and depend on each other. Vik and Thorsteinn have a lot of work to do if they want to earn their little warriors trust after what they did to add to the baggage she carries. They also need to beware of her teeth and claws because she isn’t afraid to use them even if it’s going to get her into trouble. My heart bled for Sorrel through most of this one, but that made the ending that much sweeter. Now, I’m left wondering about what new dangers face not only them but the rest of the Berserkers. The final battle with the Corpse King is getting nearer and the danger is heating up. The next book can’t come soon enough!
I have read and enjoyed each story in this series: Berserker Brides.
This story is Book 7 and is no exception! Sorrel was bonded to Vik and Thorstein to help her heal faster but the mating bond was never completed. Now, Sorrel is accused of harming Rosalind, who might die from her injuries and her life is in jeopardy. The Alpha’s have given Vik and Thorstein a month to complete the bond and claim her. It was beautiful to read the intense, emotionally broken love story. Lee Savino writes a well written story with characters who have unique personalities.
The story keeps you interested from the first page, it is steamy, fast paced, filled with suspense and mystery. Loved it!
This is another great addition to this series. Sorrel, Vik and Thorsteinn’s story will keep you engaged and on edge as these three struggle to form an unbreakable bond and overcome past mistakes. In a series filled with amazing characters, I thought Sorrel was truly special. She was so incredibly strong, smart, determined and capable and yet she had a much softer, hidden side that was easy to bruise and a fear that made her real and relatable. Vik and Thorsteinn were very intense. I loved how their many differences blended beautifully into the perfect pair of mates for Sorrel. The story itself is full of drama, powerful emotions, danger, action and steamy scenes.
