For a first book Sarah shows amazing potential. This was a good book and i look forward to more from this author.
Excellent book! Highly recommend!
Second chance romance with lots of twists and turns. Andre keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire read. This was a finalist for the RWA Rita Award and the honor was well-deserved.
Take one dysfunctional family and raise the angst
Mesmerizing. Stunning. How could one wealthy family create such chaos? Sarah Andre develops a tight, well-paced story about a son whose decision to turn his back on a malevolent father comes with the loss of woman he loves deeply. Andre teases us as she introduces all the baggage every character carries. Is anyone lovable; is anyone redeemable? I couldn’t stop reading until I found out-and you won’t either. I guarantee.
Tall Dark and Damaged what a great novel I couldn’t put it down, can not wait to read the next novel, my new favorite author. Please keep them coming.
I was totally immersed in the twists and turns throughout the story. Andre did a fantastic job of weaving the intricacies of the story. Once hooked, I simply had to finish in one sitting.
In some ways the typical love story, but with enough twists to make it interesting.
This was a good read. Nothing predictable, but a good ending.
This was good.
Enjoyed it.
A little bit of everything. They were young lovers but he had to leave his toxic rich father and she had to stay to care for her dying mother. Years passed and hebe are wealthy in his own right and returned home to collect his inheritance from his mother. His dad told him his mother committed suicide when he was nine but he never believed it. She was doing a restoration art project at his fathers after a fire. They were still attracted to each other. The story has lots of twists and turns and not an overwhelming amount of “fill in” sex. Can’t wait to read another book by this author.
True to life family drama. I loved it!
I liked the characters and the story behind who the became emotionally.
This book has great potential but lacked a little substance. It started out great but midway thru I felt like the book raced around in circles without really any substance in any direction then it was all tied up with a bow at the end.
This book was a quick, easy, beach read but not much more than that.
Enjoyed reading. More twists than twirler and an ending that may surprise you.
Just finished reading this book and I stayed up way past my bedtime so I could finish it. Very unpredictable-the ending was not what I expected, but very good. They could of left out the detailed sex scenes. Many writers think the explosive sex scenes help the book, but not my way of thinking. Otherwise, I really enjoyed reading this book. It ended to soon. I wanted to find out more!
The story holds you or attention and keeps you guessing. The characters make mistakes and are not perfect, making them realistic.
Book didn’t appeal to me.
A great read book with lots of suspense and build up stories. Enjoyed reading the story.
Got a little confused with what era it was set in; thought it was the 1800’s but it actually is current. Well written murder story.
