Having recently come to terms with her psychic gift of communicating with the comatose, all Kat Parker wanted was a bit of relaxation and to replace her broken cell phone. But her uncle’s death reveals a new and potentially dangerous wrinkle to her abilities — she can see and talk with the dead.Phoneless, fed up, and fearful for her sanity, Kat is still determined to help her uncle. Discovering … Discovering he had more than a few secrets, she embarks on a treasure hunt for the one object she believes will help him rest in peace. Standing in her way is the CIA, a Mexican drug cartel kill squad, a group of mask-wearing gang members, and a wild alligator determined to eat her pet turtle.
As things spiral out of control, the absurdity of it all has Kat wondering if she hasn’t already gone insane, if she’ll be forever saddled with babysitting her uncle’s spirit, and if she should even bother to replace her phone.

Good book for cold-day-under the blanket reading. There’s a reluctant medium, a cop, a vampire, a drop-dead gorgeous best friend, a turtle, hired goons, teenagers, parents, a dead Uncle and more. Some of the characters have lost memories, lost their minds, or are serious weird. Oh, and there’s an alligator. Let’s not forget the alligator.
Very superficial.
Funny but didn’t appreciate the fact that the main character is dumb
Great book. I have read the first three in this series and loved them all!
Enjoyed the plot.
Trying hard to be Stephanie Plum with ghosts but not making it at all.
Laugh out loud funny in spots,,,, kind of “busy” as far as plot lines and characters,, but maybe I just should have started with the first book in the series and it would have been easier to keep up.
Wasn’t the best book I’ve ever read but it had me laughing out loud a couple of times. Way too many weird situations that I felt were totally unnecessary but I kept wanting to read more to find out what happened. Light reading for sure.
