Having recently come to terms with her psychic gift of communicating with the comatose, all Kat Parker wanted was a bit of relaxation and to replace her broken cell phone. But her uncle’s death reveals a new and potentially dangerous wrinkle to her abilities — she can see and talk with the dead.Phoneless, fed up, and fearful for her sanity, Kat is still determined to help her uncle. Discovering … Discovering he had more than a few secrets, she embarks on a treasure hunt for the one object she believes will help him rest in peace. Standing in her way is the CIA, a Mexican drug cartel kill squad, a group of mask-wearing gang members, and a wild alligator determined to eat her pet turtle.
As things spiral out of control, the absurdity of it all has Kat wondering if she hasn’t already gone insane, if she’ll be forever saddled with babysitting her uncle’s spirit, and if she should even bother to replace her phone.

Do not like such a flighty, unthinking, no self control character. Her manner of eating was horrible. Very immature acting.
I could not get into this book. It was too occult and not enough good characters.
Did not even finish the book
Way to confusing. Couldn’t get into the characters.
This book is a fun read, light hearted. The characters are a jumble of misfits and outcasts but not in a sinister way, but whimsical. The ending was a total surprise.
It’s a quick fun read. The character’s re interesting enough that I want to learn some more about their history. Although I wish the main character Kat was a shade less ditzy.
Just a funny, good read. Kind of like a good bowl of buttered popcorn – you just can’t stop your hand from dipping in that bowl. Quick, easy, enjoyable read.
Did not care for the leading lady in this book. I felt she was so self centered on herself that there is no way People would want to stay around her. I finished it. I like the story plot, just not the main character
This book was a very entertaining mystery with its madcap characters and unconventional story line. Makes me want to read more!
Loved it.
I enjoyed this book and the ones before. I laugh thur out the book and can’t wait to read the new ones. As I read the book it’s like a movie unfolds in my mind.
lot’s of laughs, would definitely read more from this author
Very unlikable central character.
Kat Parker (and Turtle) book 2 (Really book 4)
I love the unpredictability, the laugh out loud insanity, the sassy little Turtle and the main characters in these books!! For a great time read these!! Their Numbers 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6 then 7!!
Loved the whole series
Love Kat Parker
This was a good book to escape into.
Long drawn out and redundant
Read this and 1st book in series. Love them and can’t wait to read the entire series!
As a rule, I am not interested in books with vampires, etc. However, I received this book, the second in a series, for free and thoroughly enjoyed it. The humor is great and the protagonist is precious and yet believable. Next read will be book one to learn how the characters began in their relationships. If you like humor and do not mind some fantasy….this is the book for you.
