Linc has two very important things on his mind—professional football and his motorcycle club. What he does not have on his mind is the woman that drives him crazy and makes him want to do stupid things, like throw caution to the wind.Nope, not Linc.At least, that’s the lie he tells everyone. In reality, every time Conleigh’s name is mentioned, he squirms. She’s everything that he wants, wrapped up … squirms.
She’s everything that he wants, wrapped up in a cute little package that is stamped ‘hands freakin’ off.’
She’s four years younger than him, in school to be a doctor, and thinks football is stupid.
Even more, Linc and Conleigh get along like oil and water.
There’s not a single second that they’re in each other’s presence that they’re not at each other’s throats.
But all it takes is hearing that she’s in trouble for Linc to drop every single thing—football and MC duties alike—and head to her side.
A side that he’ll remain at until they either kill each other, or finally give into the heat between them.
Either way you look at it, he’s well and truly screwed.

I love a good MC story with a romantic side and Talkin Trash has it in spade. The author has written a wonderful storyline with strong main and sub characters, that feel more like family than just people in a book. The storyline is full of love, suspense and laughter and the Bear Bottom MC guys will worm their way into your heart and leave you anxiously waiting for more of their stories; which are hopefully coming our way.
This is Linc and Conleigh’s story. Conleigh grew up poor with just her mother to care for her and her little brother. But their status changed when her mother married Steel Cross, the president of the Alabama Dixie Wardens MC. In fact it was at the first party she attended at the Dixie Warden’s clubhouse that 16 year old Conleigh met Linc. He was older, tattooed and gorgeous and Conleigh lost her heart that day, as did Linc. But Linc was told to stay away from her by both Steel and his own father, men you just don’t cross. So Linc stayed her “friend” biding his time before he claimed her at his. Linc’s friend-zoning her was something that broke Conleigh’s heart.
Years later, Linc is a pro football QB and a member of the Bear Bottom MC and Conleigh is finishing nursing school. Even though they have remained semi-friends, Conleigh still secretly loves Linc but feels the pain of their breakup. As for Linc, he’s decided now is the time. He’s coming after what is his: Conleigh. He’s decided their father’s be damned. Now he just has to convince Conleigh he’s serious and not the playboy social media had made him out to be. Things are just starting to go Linc’s way when trouble hits the MC. Someone is out to mess with the Bear Bottom MC and ruin Linc’s chances with Conleigh. Who is doing this? Does it work? Do the other Clubs connected to the Bear Bottom MC finally step up to help them or are these men on their own?
This is an exciting, suspenseful storyline that will keep you turning page after page. I highly recommend Talkin Trash as well as book 1 of the series, Mess Me Up. 5 Star and a Huge Kudos to the author for a job well done.
OMG! Lani Lynn Vale just keeps getting better!
Talkin’ Trash was ah-mazing! I loved the pairing of Lincoln and Conleigh! We first met them in both of their parents’ books when they were just teenagers, and now we get to see where they are and what they’ve become (with cameos). No surprise that Linc made it to the pros and that Connleigh finally figured things out when Steel Cross entered the picture, and her home life became more stable. This story spans from their younger years with glimpses into the past and then to the present day when the time is finally right for them to be together.
I really enjoyed their absolute devotion to one another. They do have some bumps along the way, but their love is something that never changes. I also enjoyed meeting the members of the Bear Bottom Guardians and look forward to more books featuring them!
Reading an LLV book is like coming home. I don’t know how she keeps each book fresh and different yet we still get the same small-town, hometown feel. Each character feels like a real person—someone I would know and be friends with. So if you are a fan of books that are sexy and action-packed with a dose of humor I recommend this series!
5 Stars!
I’m going to take a moment to say how freaking excited I was for Linc and Conleigh. I adored both of them as kids and I fell in love with them now as adults. These two have a connection that spans years and is finally coming to it’s full potential in Talkin’ Trash. The sexy sweetness, along with delicious alpha male goodness and the humor we all love that no one does quite as well as Lani all burst from the pages in this unputdownable read!
Like many ladies from Lani, Conleigh’s sass made me want to high five her multiple times. That sass is leveled out by the down to earth, smart, strong woman that Conleigh has grown into. Linc is every bit a man to swoon over. Can anyone resist a sexy, sweet, NFL player who’s also a biker that loves his woman to the extreme? Not this girl.
These two have held back on their feelings for years, each for different reasons, but when they finally stop holding back the sparks they had become explosive with heat, passion, and emotion. Conleigh and Linc are one of the cutest couples ever!
Lani have been my go to Author since Boomtown. Her books had caused tons of smiles.. several degrees of laughter.. I cant never say Im done!
Linc and Conleigh were a childhood crush.. A teaser without ending.. I love how the story played.. the surrouding character was a cahoot.. it was fun.. super extra steamy… Lani’s humours always get me…I love loved Linc for how he was.. even famous people has a life.. I love how Linc and Conleigh feel for each other..They didnt have it easy but for sure do they are serious…
KEEP Going!!! I love Bear Guardian MC
YAY!!!! Linc & Conleigh!!! Idk why I was so excited about this one, but I was & it was a pretty great read. I love the way these two are all feisty with each other, and how super sweet Linc is. I was a bit annoyed by the SOB (seemingly obligatory breakup) because it didn’t jive w/ me, but overall I enjoyed the story. It is also one of the more … *cough* … STEAMY variety.
The peek into the next book out this month, Listen, Pitch, has me chomping at the bit for October 16th. Just sayin’!!
AND – Reading about the “kids” all grown up makes me want to go back & re-read the parents’ stories. I love that feeling!! : )
Another winner that I couldn’t put down. There was a little of everything steamy scenes, interfering parents, threats and surprising twists that kept my adrenaline flowing.
You will love these two and their journey; it flowed well, H/h had a good dynamic and the secondary characters really added to the story. All in all well worth reading.
This is the second book in this awesome series, and is Linc and Conleigh’s story. These two are total opposites, and are like petrol and a match. There is a fine line between love / hate, and will these two eventually give into their feelings? No spoilers; this is another must read, you will not be disappointed! This talented author has done a phenomenal job in penning this story, which is filled with action, drama, passion, humour, and love. I cannot wait to read more in this fantastic series, and I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers.
Linc is another winner for Lani Lynn Vale ~ Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Conleigh & Linc are fireworks and fan your face chemistry HOT! I laughed so hard at the end of chapter 10… seriously the best laughter ever! With every LLV story you have an underlying backstory that is playing in the background that will span the series, this one will be so good too.
5 Stars HOT
This is the second book in Lani’s new series Bear Bottom Guardians MC and what I love about LLV series is that you get to see some of my favourites again from her previous books. With each new book she expands on these worlds giving us new characters to fall in love with.
Even though these books are part of a series you can read them as standalones but be prepared to want to read the rest as your curiosity will be peaked.
We met Conleigh in Law and Beard, The Dixie Wardens Rejects MC, she is the daughter of the woman Big Papa, aka Steel Cross, has fallen for. She was only a trouble teenager back then so its nice to see her grown up in this book. We also got to see her meet Lincoln for the first time <3<3 it was obvious then that cupids arrow had hit and it was just a matter of time for fallout to ensue.
Linc has been biding his time all these years since he met a teenage Conleigh, hes been waiting from the go ahead to pursue her but he's done waiting and when fate and humorous events intervene and he has the prefect in.
This was a great change in pace from the emotional first book in the series. LLV delivered her trademark brand of humour mixed with lots of passion to counterbalance the serious topics she covers.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series, Wade's story but my curiosity has been seriously peaked with Hoax and im hoping his story is coming up soon
This book is not your typical MC book. I really enjoyed it. I don’t really consider it a second chance romance bc I felt like they never really got a first chance at it. Great writing & I loved the charact
Oy this book.
So I actually enjoyed the beginning. Granted, things moved a little quickly as far as Conleigh and Jackson we’re concerned. Part of me wishes we had gotten to see more of them over the years, and them falling for each other. Because there were times that I felt like I had been dropped right into the middle of their story. And wow I do remember Conway from her mother’s book, I only vaguely recall her and Jackson meeting. I did like the flashbacks of some scenes, but it wasn’t quite enough for me. So it took me longer than I would’ve liked to really feel the chemistry between them.
For the most part, I did enjoy the book. Where it took a turn for me was actually at 75%. And I knew something was gonna happen, because I’m familiar with this authors writing. But, it all felt so unnecessary after that. I hate unnecessary drama, and stupid break ups. Things could’ve been resolved without the couple separating and broken hearts if they had just talked. And that is one of my biggest pet peeve’s. I understand people being angry, and needing time to cool down. But to jump to conclusions, and not talk it out at all… And then they spend months apart wishing they were together but angry and not being willing to be the first to give in… That annoys me about anything else.
This being the second book of the series, I’m enjoying these characters so far. I like the world. However, I was a little disappointed to find out in this book that the Bear Bottom Guardians MC was actually an offshoot of the Dixie Wardens. I wouldn’t have minded if they were just another branch of the Wardens, or even just allies of the Wardens… But I was a little disappointed that they made the break and change their name. And I’ll be honest, as much is I liked the Dixie Wardens and the Rejects, trying to keep all these family trees straight is becoming difficult.
Even though I did enjoy the first 75%, the last 25 just really tanked it for me.
Well this is definitely an easy to read novel. It’s not my first from this author however the characters aren’t my favorite.
Conleigh is in school to be a nurse practitioner.
Linc is a professional quarterback but, is also a part of the MC that Conleigh grew up in.
What I didn’t like was how these characters don’t really fit together. They have certain things they do, that have you second guessing their actions are genuine for each other.
All in all it’s another great MC storyline but needs more chemistry.
Linc has been in love with Conleigh since they first locked eyes with each other 8 years ago. His dad and her step-dad told him to stay away. They became from friends and they both went on to follow their dreams though which took them in totally different directions.
Linc has had enough waiting for the time to be right to make his move. He’s over the moon when an off-hand comment actually puts her in the hot seat. She now owes him. What’s he going to ask for?
I loved Linc! He’s super sweet, sexy, and once he makes his mind up he goes for it and doesn’t let anything stand in his way. Conleigh is pretty much the same way now that she’s older and she is done waiting too.
There’s outside forces though that will do whatever they have to break them up. Will it work? Will they be to hardheaded to see what is happening? Read it to find out!!
As all of LLV books there were instances that I was laughing out loud. I can always count on laughing while reading her books. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Love this series. And was so excited to finally get Linc’s book. Conleigh is sassy and hard headed. Kind is not a patient man, but the wait was worth it.
I adored these two together. They just worked and clicked for me. They are that couple that were a long time coming and I loved that. The twists in the story that brought in new characters, brought back old characters was awesome. I cannot wait to see what Vale has in story for us in the rest of the Bear Bottom MC Series.

Lani Lynn Vale
Linc and Conleigh have known each other since she was a 16 year old girl, and from their first interaction, they’ve never strayed far from each other’s thoughts even though they’ve spent a significant amount of time apart living separate lives. For eight years, Linc kept his distance, hoping against hope, that Conleigh would still want him, despite the abrupt way he let her go all those years ago and despite the baggage that comes with Linc’s pro football career, namely the media’s need to invade his life and those around him.
Let the trash talkin’ begin.
Boy does Conleigh know how to push Linc’s buttons! Since she’s had a number of years to perfect the craft, her sass and her stubbornness are front and center until these two finally get their shit together and finally find a way to be together, and even then, she’s not afraid to use her smart mouth in ways that Linc finds both hot and aggravating. Conleigh’s kind of a hot mess, but she’s the kind of hot mess that a man like Linc doesn’t mind dealing with because at the end of the day, she’s fully his and there’s no one who can prevent them from giving this thing between them a go, even if people try their darnest to do so, including themselves.
I wanted to both high five and throttle Conleigh at multiple spots in the story line, but despite my frustration over some of her actions, I also understood them. It couldn’t have been easy for her to accept that what she and Linc had begun building was just over before it ever really started and then to still remain in contact with him even after he put her indefinitely in the friend zone was a true test of patience and fortitude.
Out of all of the alpha male heroes Lani Lynn Vale has introduced her readers to, I have to say that Linc is probably the most genuinely nice guy out of the bunch. He’s just good people, and it shows in everything he tries to do to protect Conleigh, to love her, and to ensure that she understands how he feels about her. Things are just as difficult on his end despite how it appears; he just keeps his head in the game and does what he needs to do, preparing for that day when he’s done waiting and goes to claim the one woman who’s owned him since she was 16.
I love the dynamics that have always existed between Lincoln and Conleigh, regardless of the distance or the outside influences keeping them apart. It’s made quite clear, early on, that these two are ‘it’ for each other; it’s been that way since they first met, and the fact that Lani Lynn Vale lets her readers in on that nugget of information helps us to be a little more patient when it comes to these two finally getting their shot, and even though they’re bound to mess it up and allow outsiders to influence their actions, it will always be Conleigh for Linc and Linc Conleigh.
There are quite a few secondary characters in Talkin’ Trash that I can’t wait to hear more about; there’s one in particular who has been the antagonist in a number of storylines who I’m eager to understand, so I hope Lani Lynn Vale offers me that insight sooner rather than later…but I guess, we’ll see what happens…
4.5 Poison Apples
I’m stil new Lani’s fan, but with every next her book my love for her works is bigger than the previous time.
I was so impatiently waiting for this book! Linc’s story was distrubing my thoughts for a very long time Why? Because it was one of my favorites romantics tropes … from friends to lovers and also man waiting for his girl, because she could be little too young. Maybe someone can tell that it can be found in many books… but great book depends on author style, right ? Lani done amazing thing with this story. I love it from the begining and devorued it in one long sitting.
Linc and Conleigh book is simply wonderfull. I love that Conleigh is independent girl, who works hard to reach her life goals. She has feelings for Linc obviously but still she’s want to live on her own way.
Linc is typical hottie, who stays forever in posssesive mode “take Your hands from my girl”, when it comes to Conleigh and other men around. He maybe seems look to be very steady with plans for his life, but he’ll forget about everything around when Conleigh makes him hot and bothered….. sometimes???? NO -everytime
Of course life has it own plans…. Talkin Trash will show You also a little drama in the background but still…. this book is great read.
I don’t know Lani too long but for sure I’ll be cooming back for much more!

Lani Lynn Vales Bear Bottom Mc is a wonderful book by a great writer, she throws so much passion in to her books, with mystery and love combined that can almost withstand the test of time. But what is a little heartbreak every now and then just to find out that you only come out on top unscathed. Lani Lynn Vale is a fairly new author to me and I truly enjoyed this book and the journey it has taken me on
The chemistry in this book is HOT and you will not want to put it down! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Linc and Conleigh have sparks flying when they do not even want to admit it! These two meet when they were 20 and 16 but were not allowed to pursue anything. But 8 years latter when the spark is finally lit will it be as combustible as they both think it will? This book will have you laughing out loud at some of the antics that these two deal with. Loved seeing these characters grow! Can’t wait to see what the next in the series has to offer!
One of the kids of the Dixie Wardens is back with his own book and it is freaking awesome! What did I like about this book … everything! I liked Linc and Conleigh when they showed up in THE BEARD MADE ME DO IT and LAW & BEARD. Conleigh was definitely an angst ridden teenager, but with reason. Linc was a very cool customer and that hasn’t changed. He is still the same cool customer, but now he has a little more experience under his belt and is finally going for what he wants, even if it means making an enemy of a man that he respects.
This story was suspense and some action, but not to the degree of some of Vale’s other books. But I found that rather refreshing in this story. After MESS ME UP, which was heart wrenching, I needed a quieter and less emotional book. And TALKIN’ TRASH hit the spot beautifully. The dialogue and situations between the characters were at times amusing and sad, but in typical Vale fashion, I was engaged and ecstatic with the way the book came through. I really enjoyed learning more about how the Bear Bottom Guardian MC came to be and the other characters in the book.
Overall, I was very happy with the story and can’t wait for it to continue onward!
