Linc has two very important things on his mind—professional football and his motorcycle club. What he does not have on his mind is the woman that drives him crazy and makes him want to do stupid things, like throw caution to the wind.Nope, not Linc.At least, that’s the lie he tells everyone. In reality, every time Conleigh’s name is mentioned, he squirms. She’s everything that he wants, wrapped up … squirms.
She’s everything that he wants, wrapped up in a cute little package that is stamped ‘hands freakin’ off.’
She’s four years younger than him, in school to be a doctor, and thinks football is stupid.
Even more, Linc and Conleigh get along like oil and water.
There’s not a single second that they’re in each other’s presence that they’re not at each other’s throats.
But all it takes is hearing that she’s in trouble for Linc to drop every single thing—football and MC duties alike—and head to her side.
A side that he’ll remain at until they either kill each other, or finally give into the heat between them.
Either way you look at it, he’s well and truly screwed.

This is my first time reading Lani Lynn Vale, and I loved Talkin’ Trash so much that I am now busy devouring her extensive backlist. It’s an engaging, ultra-sexy, friends-to-lovers romance with characters you’ll absolutely love and want to root for. Linc and Conleigh have been great friends for eight years, but both have had romantic feelings for each other that they’ve never discussed or acted upon. Linc has outside pressure to hold her at arm’s length, but he’s made the decision to no longer deny that he wants more — no matter the repercussions. But after so many years of keeping Conleigh in the friend zone, he has to now convince her that his intentions are sincere. He proves himself to be seriously swoony as he pursues her with patience, humor and tenderness, while she makes him work for it in the best way possible. She’s fiercely independent and charmingly sassy, and they’re adorable together as they exchange flirty banter infused with sexual tension. As their relationship enters new territory, their already strong emotional connection grows and strengthens, and their evolution from friends to lovers is believable and completely romantic. Talkin’ Trash is fresh, fun and fiery hot, and it had me smiling, laughing and blushing from cover to cover.

ARC provided, but this review was voluntarily and honestly written.
Linc is a member of the Bear Bottom Guardians MC and a successful quarterback. Conleigh is a nurse and working on her master’s degree. These two have known each other for a long time. Linc has been in love with Conleigh for a long time but was warned off getting close to her. These two fight when they are around each other but the attraction is electric. I really enjoyed the back and forth between this couple.
Forbidden love just found a way! With the next book in the Bear Bottom MC series, we get Linc and Conleigh’s story. As a new reader to this author with this series, I feel a struggle in trying to keep up with what’s happened in the past series sometimes. In some places explanations are weaved into the context, and in others they aren’t and the reader is left fending for themselves trying to keep up. This book showed tidbits of the biker lifestyle more than the first in the series, but the intrigue of the bad guy seems forced and lacking in substance. Overall, a solid read with a believable connection between the main couple.
Professional football and a motorcycle club don’t seem like a likely pairing, but Lincoln James wears it well! He’s just coming into the off-season when he hears that Conleigh might have gotten herself into a little trouble that she needs him for. He’s been in love with her for years, but he was warned away from her by multiple sources in the MC because she was too young when they met. Since then, she’s been a constant thorn in his side as she tries to pretend that she doesn’t feel the same things that he does.
Nursing is a job that she enjoys, but going to school and trying to move up in that field is not. She feels like she’s got too much on her plate right now and something’s eventually going to have to give. Now that Linc is hanging around her on a regular basis, she needs even more free time than ever … after all, she has to pretend she’s so busy enjoying life that she’s too busy to have anything to do with him, right?
Yea!!! We get Linc and Conleigh’s story!! I was so flippin excited to start reading this. And I wasn’t disappointed at all.
Even though this is technically a stand alone, it is the second book in the Bear Bottom Guardians MC and there is a continuing story line that I wasn’t expecting. So I do recommend you read Rome’s book, Mess Me Up first. Just a warning, it will mess you up, but I really think you should read it before this.
We first meet Linc when he was a kid in Jessie James’ book, The Beard Made Me Do It. We also have meet Conleigh in Steele’s book. We see how much they both have changed since they originally appeared in a previous series. Both have grown up so much.
The chemistry that these two have is off the chain. The sex scenes are steamy as hell and will make you need a change of panties.
The little twist with a surprise “guest” had me thinking “oh shit”. I really wasn’t expecting her to show up. But now, I’m even more curious about her. No, I won’t give her name. Sorry, not sorry.
This is another great read by Lani. She is one of my must read, no reading blurb first authors. I know whatever she rights, I will love. There hasn’t been a single book that I haven’t, and I’ve read them all.
“Telling her to calm down is child’s play. If you really want to see her eyes spit fire, tell her she’s acting like her mother.” – Linc’s secret thoughts
“Are you fine being hugged while you pee? That’s a question you should ask yourself before having kids.” -Conleigh to Linc
“Sometimes I feel like I need a shot of whiskey for every single person I’m forced to talk to.” – Text from Linc to Conleigh
5 “It’s Finally Time” Stars
Linc James met Conleigh James when he was nineteen and she was sixteen at the clubhouse where his father and her stepfather are both members of the Dixie Wardens MC. Warned off her by both men, Linc sat back and bided his time. Now, here we are eight years later, he’s still waiting and decides it’s finally time to get the woman he’s in love with.
Conleigh is an ER nurse and has been in love with Linc James since the first time she met him. Determined not to let him break her heart again, she remains standoffish and lets him continue to think she hates football, when in reality she never misses one of his games.
I loved revisiting with past members we have already read about, but more importantly, I loved Linc and Conleigh together. Their banter is straight up foreplay because you could cut the sexual tension between them with a dull knife. These two are like fire and gasoline, and when they finally come together, they explode! But they are shown once again, that even though you are meant to be together, the road to get there is not always an easy one. This story is chock full of everything I love most about LLV’s writing. Second chance romance, steamy sexiness, witty banter, a strong Alpha male, a smart, sassy female, and a little suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. Overall, it’s sweet, sexy, funny and right up my alley! Another hit! #Oneclick it today!

After the success of the previous book in the series, I was so looking forward to reading this installment, but I have to admit I was slightly disappointed with it.
My first problem with the story was that it felt like it was jumping all over the place emotionally, making things difficult to follow. It was like being on a roller coaster and not in a good way. Secondly, some of the things that happened in the plot felt to me that they had been thrown in for shock value, and others felt as if they had been added because they tied into events in other series that the author had written, which left me lost, confused, and mostly annoyed that I didn’t know the full story.
Once I set aside my issues with the story, I actually found it really enjoyable! Linc was such a sweetheart, and I loved the lengths he took to protect Conleigh, as well as finally win the right to call her his. Conleigh was a great heroine, extremely realistic, and yet amazingly strong as well. I liked that this mostly stood alone from the previous book in the series, referencing events from that book sparingly and in broad terms. While I could see that this book was setting up something else farther down the road, it only made me more interested in the series in general. I am eager to see what’s next in the series!
Talkin’ Trash had me captivated and mesmerized as Linc and Conleigh navigate their way through a connection that has been there for six long years. Their story is witty, action packed, full of drama and mayhem and will have you feeling like it is a hot humid day with the heat and steam that radiates from these two. This second book in the Bear Bottom Guardians MC series will delve into the other members of the club, visit with past favourites and show us that when these guys find the one, they are loyal, fierce and will give up everything to protect them even from themselves. Linc and Conleigh will have you laughing, frustrated, emotional but ultimately these two will have you falling in love with them.
Linc James, NFL quarterback and member of the Bear Bottom MC, has been in love with Conleigh for 8 years. Not only was she hands of then because she was only 16, but she was also because her step father, president of the Dixie Wardens MC warned him to stay away. But, that’s never stopped him from wanting more.
Connleigh James may have been in love with Linc since she was 16, but there is no way she is ever letting him get close enough to break her heart again. Being rejected once was enough. But, when her friend starts a rumor that not only is she dating Linc, she’s also having his baby to ward off an obnoxious suitor, that their relationship begins to take on a life of its own!
While Conleigh isn’t ready to play the game, Linc has her right where he finally wants her . . .close to him! With Linc’s reputation and career on the line, he and Conleigh are forced to keep up public appearances . . .and Linc’s planning on doing everything he possibly can to make sure that when it’s all over, Conleigh is still right by his side.
When a rival mc starts causing trouble, however, Conleigh and Linc’s relationship will be tested in ways they could never have imagined. Will Linc and Conleigh finally have the chance they’ve both been waiting for all these years, or will fate continue to keep this couple from having their happy ever after.
While book one of this series was a complete tear jerker, I found Talkin’ Trash to be much more light hearted and flirty. Conleigh James is smart, sassy and independent, but struggling with where she wants to be in life. In school to be a nurse practitioner she’s finding that she’s pretty happy working as a registered nurse at the hospital. The one thing she does know is that she can’t spend too much time with Linc because he’ll break her heart again.
Linc never meant to break Conleigh’s heart . . . all he wants to do is win it. But when both his father and hers are presidents of the local mc clubs and warn him away from her, he doesn’t have much choice. But, he’s finally ready to make his play, and Conleigh’s fiasco of a pregnancy scam is the perfect excuse to bring them together so Linc can lay it all on the line.
The dialogue is witty and flirty and just plain fun. Their chemistry is off the charts. And, watching a couple that has been oil and water for the past eight years come together is a blast! Add in the rival mc stirring up trouble and Lani Lynn Vale gives readers a great time! 5 Stars for Talkin’ Trash.
OH I LOVE LINC!!!! This book is AMAZING! Actually, everything Lani Lynn Vale writes is AMAZING!! The Bear Bottom Guardians series is turning out to be one of my favorites. Love the combination of MC and good guys with women that make them crazy and fall in love!
Talkin’ Trash is just a great story of forbidden love that never turns off. When you are told to keep you hands off, does that make you want it more, maybe, for Linc it was love at first sight. Conleigh was that girl, hands off, but not forever. When they finally give in to their love, it is an explosion of feelings. They love to hate each other, but they are best friends first and foremost, always there for each other, even if it hurts like hell.
Highly recommend this book along with all the others!!!
Woowee, I just knew that Linc and Conleigh’s story was going to be amazing. I have been looking forward to this book since I read The Beard Made Me Do it. I was drawn to Lincoln and just his personality even when he was a kid and the man was so much better then I expected. The romance was awesome, steamy, and just overall fun. The drama had my eyes popping wide open and now I’m interested in seeing where the author will take stuff. She always has this was of throwing off what I think is going to happen and totally blind side me and I love every second of it. She has me loving everything that she writes and I’m always biting my nails waiting for the next book. Now bring on another baseball book and then Wade! I can’t wait. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Talkin Trash is another successful book in the Bear Bottom MC world. It is an easy to read, well written, heartwarming love story that I did not want to put down!
Linc is the perfect all around nice guy and it looks like he has everything he could ever want…Success, money, friends but he doesn’t have the woman he has wanted since he first laid eyes on her years earlier. Now, the time is right and he is no longer going to wait. Conleigh has wanted him just as much so when they finally give into the the need for each other they set the pages of this book on fire!
Awww we finally get to read about Lincoln and Conleigh; I’ve been waiting for this book since Law & Beard when we saw 16 year old Conleigh meet Linc at an MC gathering with her parents. Linc is now an NFL player and Conleigh is a nurse, they still have contact by the odd text message but that’s it since their false start at a relationship many years earlier. They still adore each other, they still want each other, but both resist; Linc out of respect for Steel/Big Papa, Conleigh’s stepfather’s wishes and Conleigh due to the fear of him breaking her heart again. Linc decides time’s up though, he’s not waiting any longer to claim what’s his, he just has to convince Conleigh that she’s his now and Conleigh has to learn to trust that Linc isn’t going to walk away a second time.
I say this every time I read an LLV book but I’m going to say it again.. I love this world Lani Lynn Vale has created and my day gets forgotten while I devour these books. Another great read with the humour, drama and antics you come to expect from these guys. I can’t wait for the next one. Talkin’ Trash gets 5 stars from me.
Talkin’ Trash was a fun and amazing addition to the Bear Bottom Guardian MC series by Lani Lynn Vale. It was funny and sexy and a great combination of hot, steamy and real. I loved Linc and Conleigh and thought their story was fantastic!
Linc James has always loved Conleigh for the past eight years and is finally ready to make her his. But when you have a sassy woman and danger with your name on it, it isn’t as easy as it looks! I thought this story was sassy and funny and hit all the right buttons. It was swoony and full of the pure and heartfelt romance we’ve come to expect from this author. I enjoyed this story and the connection that Conleigh and Linc were unable to deny. The dash of suspense was an added bonus and I look forward to the third book in the series! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
I was a little hesitant before I began this book, because the previous book ripped my heart out (it was an amazing book, that eventually put me back together, but still…..) But I knew who the story was about, and couldn’t wait to read it. So, cautiously, I got started.
Conleigh was an angry youth, who had been let down too many times, seen her mother go through too many hurts and trials. But when she met Linc at 16, she knew right from the beginning that he was it, the only one for her. Linc knew too, but he was too old for her then. One thing, and then another kept them apart, until he just couldn’t stay away any more. And then, when it looks like they are going to find their happy ever after, it all fell apart.
Con and Linc’s story is one of enduring love. Even when they weren’t together, their love was still constant. We saw hints of possibilities in Big Poppa’s story, and I just knew theirs was going to be amazing. Their story was beautiful, and one that I will definitely be reading again! I’m loving this series, and catching up with the kids from previous series!
From the moment he first caught her eye Linc James became a permanent fixture in her memory bank, he was handsome, sweet, and someone that Conleigh wanted to spend every waking minute around, but her parents put a stop to it fairly quick. With his older age, and the career he was about to start in the NFL, they were certain that he would hold her back from completing her education, and she’d wind up giving up everything for him. So she put her feelings for him on the back burner, did her best to move on and has made great efforts to avoid contact with him… but he never lets her get too far away!
Lincoln James has been in love with Conleigh from the first moment he laid eyes on her, but she was younger, naive, and had her whole life ahead of her, and then her parents made it known that he was to keep his distance from her…so he walked away. But made the promise that when the time was right, he was going to try and win her heart, and get his girl. He has abided by their rules for eight long years now, but the wait is over now…
From the very first page this action packed story line will pull you in, take your attention hostage, and and keep a tight grip on it until the last page is swiped! There are many things to appreciate about Talkin’ Trash; the characters were well crafted and believable, the story line engaging and emotional, and the steam factor was off the charts! This first time read made quite the impression, it fed my sports romance and MC romance addiction, the emotional aspect spoke to heart, it had a unexpected suspenseful twist, that was a nice surprise… I definitely foresee myself being a repeat reader when it comes to this series! Highly recommend!!
