A woman in the business of love that’s never been in a real relationship.Check. That’s me. Nessa Night. Now I know what you’re thinking. That sounds like a stripper name. Hold up. Let me explain. It’s my radio talk-show name. My incognito way of helping the world love deeper and more often. Though my love life is like a ten-year-old fall leaf trapped between the pages of an old journal. #dramatic… trapped between the pages of an old journal. #dramatic
I’m short. Curvy. Average at best.
And I’m a fraud.
For all the advice I give on the air, I have zero experience to back it up. I’m eternally single. Forever alone.
And the only man I’ve ever caught feelings for is one of my callers: Mr No Name.
Much to my surprise, he’s not unknown at all.
The grandson of the great Jack Daniels is my caller, and worse? He’s my brother’s best friend from high school.
Only one way to right these increasingly awkward wrongs.
High school reunion time. He wants in, and I want a date who looks like him.
The only thing off is his advice about love. It’s from Nessa night. Me!
And if he swoons over her (me!) one more time, I’ll have to give in and tell him.
Besides, I’m in the business of love.
If I don’t got this, who does? Gulp

This one had me from the start. I love the characters. The story kept my attention. Such a great book. Check it out!
Fantastic book! I felt some kind of feels reading this, because at some point I’m sure most people have experienced negative emotions and thoughts about their body image and how it affects their self confidence. Vanessa’s not the only one going through some thing, Rhys has his own issues affecting his life, but seeing these two together was indeed great; although I couldn’t figure out what in the world caused Vanessa to flip her sh#t, but everything resolved for a nice and tidy HEA.
Talk Dirty To Me is super interesting. Can’t wait for the next book in the series
As they say in the movie, he completes her. Don’t give up when you’re in love.
First off, I have to say, love the references to W. Parker. So funny. Vanessa has body image issues due to her grandmother constantly nagging her about losing weight that no man will want her. Rhys, her brother‘s best friend thinks she has spectacular curves. She finds it hard to believe that a billionaire like Rhys would find her attractive at all. She is thrilled when he suggests he go to her 10 year high school reunion with her as her fiancé. But it doesn’t actually happen the way she thought it would. Rhys gets mugged and is extremely late arriving at the party looking like he got mugged. And of course after the mean girl still taunted her and called her fat and other names, she called her brother to pick her up and take her home. Is it over for her and Rhys? Was it ever really a thing? Or is she being too hard on her self? Rhys and Vanessa travel down a lonely, heartbreaking road their entire relationship until they finally realize they are in love with each other and it’s the real thing. This book has twists and turns and drama throughout. You will love Rhys from the very beginning and know that he is truly what Vanessa has always needed, wanted and desired. Heavenly happily ever after ending.
Love it! Loved Rhys and Vanessa, I enjoyed this story. It has great characters, romance and some sarcastic humor, snarky comments. I couldn’t put it down. A must read.
Oh my this was a fantastic story. We get to see that both ends of the spectrum can find live and go through the trials and tribulations as any other human being. It was like it just clicked and as we watch the story on fold, it takes a few turns but in the end it all comes full circle. This is a must read and I definitely recommend it. I give it 5 stars. The Story Of `Feels`
This great, original story almost had a Cinderella-like feel at times to me. I know there was really no direct correlation but the `feel` of a Cinderella existence for the main female character was felt. The oppression of being put down from a variety of sources and then the utter you in the unexpected love and support of a good man. Ah, sigh! So well put together by Ms. Parker! The myriad characterizations, the friendship and the family – – the back bone of existence; all here for the reader to take in and enjoy. Good Stuff!
Rhys and Vanessa’s story is beautifully developed by Ms. Parker. Vanessa has issues about her appearance and lacks the confidence to believe she is attractive. She hosts a late night show, giving out love advice that she has no real experience with. Rhys is her brother’s best friend (and also a caller to her show -though neither of them are aware of this). When Rhys offers to be her fiance for her upcoming high school reunion, she agrees. Rhys is so attracted to Vanessa, but she just can’t see it. Can these two find their way to each other or will Vanessa’s lack of confidence make her lose one of the best things to ever happen to her? Grab this wonderfully written story today. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am gladly leaving this review.
I loved this story so much! It’s very nice to have a heroine who isn’t the typical, cookie cutter version of beautiful. Curvy girls are beautiful as well! It was very well written, and I loved following Vanessa’s story. I could not put this down.
What a unique storyline! I loved that Vanny got to be someone else (Nessa Night) on her night time radio show. Her and Rhys have a lot to overcome to get to their HEA but the road does have some funny parts to it and the characters in this story bring the book to life. I received this book at no cost in exchange for my honest review.
This is a well written book with strong characters and an interesting story line, The author does a great job building the story and dealing with Vanessa’s lack of confidence as well as Rhys’s issues. She gives them a strong connection and hot chemistry and moves the story fluidly, delivering a realistic read filled with drama , anxiety and love. Her detailed and descriptive scenes are painted vividly and brings the story to life. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

Imposter Syndrome
Vanessa is Nessa Night, a radio talk show host doling out advice on air. She’s an imposter with no boyfriend.
Rhys has plenty of experience but also a cheating ex. He’s into Nessa but is he into Vanessa?
A twist on Cyrano.
Lighthearted with a little angst
Vanessa is an ambitious young woman who works in a dress shop by day and has a radio show at night as Nessa Night. She’s never had a real relationship so it’s quirky that her show is about finding and making relationships work. Rhys on the other hand is fresh off another one that went up in flames. They get together as friends to see where things may go. Ms. Parker weaves her magic in this “convoluted” tale that is immensely enjoyable.

Kudos to Ali Parker on this remarkable story!! Vannessa “Vanny” Hampton is a remarkable woman even if she can’t see it in herself. Bullied and picked on through school because of her weight Vanny suffers daily from body shame and thinks herself unlovable. She works in a dress shop where the sizes tend to smaller women but at night she can pretend to be someone else behind the mic of a popular talk show healing hearts as Nessa Night, a love guru. There is one caller “Mr. No Name” that just hits all her dream levels. Rhys Daniels is a billionaire of his own making but doesn’t have a good track record with women. He doesn’t have the best relationship with his parents but his grandmother, Gigi is his saving grace, along with his best friend Chris. Rhys has just ended a two year relationship from his cheating girlfriend and tries to find solace on a talk show from Nessa Night. There’s just a feeling he gets just taking to her. When Vanny’s brother Chris brings his best friend home for dinner between his pro football games Vanny is shocked to hear Mr. No Names laugh, this can’t be happening. Rhys is attracted to Vanny from the get go. She’s beautiful inside and out but Chris warns him away from his baby sister. Vanny has a ten year school reunion coming up but is terrified to go because of the people that made her life hell. Rhys proposes to go as her fake fiance just to spend time with her. Another lie Vanny has to add to her already long list but what the hell it’s fake because someone like Rhys couldn’t possibly be interested in someone like her… right. What happens when fake doesn’t feel like fake anymore and you are terrified of getting hurt??? Vanny pushes Rhys away and doesn’t give him a chance to hurt her. Rhys has suffered a lot but most of his pain is from losing Vanny, he needs her back. After suffering for six long months Rhys calls Nessa Night to confess his love for Vanny. Will she give him a second chance?? Vanny has a secret she’s been hiding, but not for long and not sure how Rhys will take the news. Is there a happy ever after for Nessa Night the love guru??? Ali Parker really rocks this story!!! Watching Vanny struggle daily with her body shame and comments from others strikes a chord with me and I’m so happy she was able to finally see herself add others do and find that one true person to prove it to her. This is an absolutely MUST READ!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorites collection. Hoping to see a story for Kim and Chris as one or two different stori
I enjoy this book.
Complex characters, well written, couldn’t put it down.
Vanessa has a lot of insecurities, mostly about her body. And felt guilty about giving love advice in a radio show when she’s never been in a relationship.
Rhys has family issues, mostly with his dad being a jerk to him since he was young and he wants nothing to do with him and his money. Also his mom is an alcoholic.
What Rhys doesn’t know is Vanessa is the one he was talking to the radio station when he needs advice. And she’s also his best friend’s sister.
I don’t want to spoil it for you, so get your own copy now and find out what happens next.
5 Stars
I received a free copy of the novel Talk Dirty to Me: Vanessa and Rhys by Ali Parker and this review was given freely.
A wonderful mix of sarcastic humor, snarky comments and steam wrapped up in a curve virgin- brother’s best friend- billionaire romance.
As her ten year highschool reunion nears, unfiltered Vanessa aka permanently single Nashville relationship radio guru Nessa Night and seemingly polar opposite distillery billionaire Rhys fall in love over the air, while battling against verbal abuse, low self image and there real life feelings for eachother.
This was a great book that was a joy to read. Once I started it was hard to put down. The story line was well developed and had enough twists to keep me guessing. I loved how the W. Parker romance novels were worked into the story line. And I loved the line … “Of course, I do. without me, you’d still be in diapers.” The Chemistry between Vanessa/Nessa and Mr. No Name was explosive. Nessa’s a virgin who’s never been in love except for high school crushes on her brother’s best friend. That makes her feel like a fraud since her alter-ego is host of a night time call in romance advice show. Of course Mr No Name is one of her regular callers. Lots of drama, a fake fiance for a reunion date creates quite a bit of action. No spoiler here, but this is one book you need to read. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

A great brother’s best friend romance read
Vanessa, retail worker and incognito radio talk show host, has crushed on Rhys, CEO and her brother’s best friend, since high school. As the story progresses an agreement is arranged, a secret is partially revealed, and once it is all laid out they may not get the future they want. Ali Parker’s Talk Dirty To Me is a great brother’s best friend romance read with a sassy cast and nods to another Parker author sprinkled throughout.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
