My father’s assigning a bodyguard to me. I wonder how long it’ll take before I get rid of him.True, it’s hard work, being a member of the Grieve family. We’re all necromancers, and the public’s never exactly appreciated the art.My father’s getting into power, and says I need protection. So he summons a big, hulking werewolf bodyguard out of nowhere. The kind that can make even the bravest soul … make even the bravest soul scared.
Trouble is…
My bodyguard hates me.
I see it in his eyes, and his expression. He finds my magic abhorrent. He finds me abhorrent.
Either my bodyguard will do his job properly…
Or I’ll end up as an ‘accidental’ casualty.
Aurhor’s Note: This is a steamy stand alone with an HEA intended for 18+

Magic and shifters, what more could anyone ask for? Talia is a great character. Janos is like a super werewolf. Janos is also a great character because he can see his faults, can see his own wrong judgements, and even though he’s a big bad alpha, he’s willing to admit he’s wrong and change his thinking. This story shows a good and bad side of a morbid magic. The storyline is interesting. There are a few unexpected twists. Great plot. It has a little bit of a “who dunnit”. Talia’s Bodyguard is entertaining and is a book I’d recommend to any PNR reader.
Emotionally thrilling, action packed and engaging adventure filled with intriguing charters, witty banter, heart racing twists and exciting magical turns….. was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed the charters and this interesting magical world and the lore.
This book is okay. The blurb sounds like this is a steamy romance. Well, there might be some sex, but I wouldn’t call it steamy. That is fine with me but I want to know what type of book I’m reading. The characters of Talia and Janos start out interesting enough but they are pretty flat. Transitions between scenes seem to be missing something. Not bad but I wouldn’t rave about it either.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Talia is a necromancer that is indeed in need of a bodybulider. Janos does not like necromancers, but being in the family business he was assigned to Talia.

Talia’s Bodyguard by Lisa Daniels is the first book in the Bodyguard’s of Samhain series. This book is about a young necromancer named Talia who is just trying to live her life and hiding her magic when her father is elected to the supernatural council. I loved the character of Talia and how she is portrayed. This books mystery kept me on edge to the very end and the surprise twist was great. Talia’s Bodyguard is full of suspense, mystery, and lots of magic.

Talia comes from a family of necromancers. They’re distrusted and feared by the community. Now her father is coming into power and feels Talia will be targeted so he insists on hiring a bodyguard for her. Jano is a werewolf who was traumatized when he was young and has had a universal hatred for necromancers since. But, now his own father has assigned him to be a bodyguard to one. Can the two of them work together when not only Talia, but her family, are threatened? This was an intense, dark, drama-filled read that left me wanting more. I can’t wait for the next one.
An interesting paranormal romance. It is well written full of mystery, intrigue, suspense, magic, and so much more. The characters are strong, likeable, and well developed. The storyline is fascinating, the character progression is noticeable and easily followed, and it is flawless and consistent. Definitely recommended!

This book is totally worth the time to read. Every page will have you enthralled and panting for more. Let’s not forget mention the chemistry of these two. You can really feel the passion.
This is a quick, shifter story and the first book in the Bodyguards of Samhain series. Talia is a member of a necromancers family and her father decides she needs protection so he hires Janos a werewolf. Talia and Janos start out in a bad place but build trust after spending time together. The writing is great and the story is filled with action, suspense, danger, steam, twists that held my attention and interesting characters.
Talia was a great character who was a necromancer. Necromancers are not really liked. Janos was a werewolf who was her bodyguard and he had a bad experience as a child and disliked necromancers. Some action as he works to keep her safe and another is causing problems. Some steam and an HEA. Loved it! I am voluntarily reviewing an arc I received via Booksprout.
This was an entertaining storyline that kept me turning the pages. The characters are well developed and engaging. The chemistry is instant.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Talia’s Bodyguard by Lisa Daniels is the first offering in her Necromancy of Samhain series. This read is a little slow starting, but definitely worth the read. An interesting twist to the witch and werewolf storyline, this book gives another dimension to what is often depicted as hostile interactions. I liked that the characters seemed to develop before your eyes. This book has a highly YA appeal although there is a little spice to the story. Lisa Daniels adds her signature twists to make the story both enjoyable and unpredictable.

This book has so many twists and turns and suspense that you can almost get dizzy as you work your way through it
Talia’s father has just won a huge promotion but as he is a necromancer and no one likes them he feel that this puts Talia in danger so he hires her a bodyguard. Jano’s is a huge wolf shifter and he really doesn’t want to be Talia’s guard at university but that is the job he has been given so he will do it. These two clash from the word go but is all that fire and heat hiding something else and will there opinions of one another change giving them a chance at a future together
The author did a great job with creating this world. It has an interesting storyline and characters. Talia, a necromancer, is in danger and the werewolf bodyguard, Janos, is sent to protect her. However, Janos is not a fan of necromancers. This short quick read provides plenty of action, suspense, danger and mystery with a hot steamy scene that will keep you thoroughly entertained. It is definitely worth giving a read.
