My father’s assigning a bodyguard to me. I wonder how long it’ll take before I get rid of him.True, it’s hard work, being a member of the Grieve family. We’re all necromancers, and the public’s never exactly appreciated the art.My father’s getting into power, and says I need protection. So he summons a big, hulking werewolf bodyguard out of nowhere. The kind that can make even the bravest soul … make even the bravest soul scared.
Trouble is…
My bodyguard hates me.
I see it in his eyes, and his expression. He finds my magic abhorrent. He finds me abhorrent.
Either my bodyguard will do his job properly…
Or I’ll end up as an ‘accidental’ casualty.

This was an awesome book that I enjoyed. It was very well written with a interesting story line and strong characters that grabbed me form the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. It’s a fast paced read and I loved Janos and Talia and their relationship as it grew, there’s action, suspense, drama, mystery and romance. A must read for any fan, and I can’t wait to read more.

I really enjoyed reading this book , it is filled with adventure and is action packed. The chemistry and interaction between the characters Talia and Janos is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I wasn’t to sure about this book because I’ve never been much of a fan of necromancers, but I really enjoyed this book. The story was well detailed and had a lot of world building as well as mythology. You got to learn about the world and necromancers while seeing it from two different perspectives. The mystery and the plot seem like the main focus while the romance is more of a background influence. The story keeps the reader engaged and eager for more.

At 12 years old, Janos had a horrible experience at his mother’s death. Now he must overcome his reluctance while guarding Talia because her ability reminds him of that time. Talia didn’t want to stand out at University because she has some “bald-headed muscle” of a bodyguard with her. However, they will have to work together when evil brings danger to her and her family. Talia’s Bodyguard is an exciting. I enjoyed the character development throughout the novel.

Talia is a member of the Grieve family who are all necromancers, feared and not trusted in the public eye. With Talia’s father becoming more prominent and powerful with his promotion, he feels he needs to provide protection for his daughter. Unfortunately, the powerful werewolf bodyguard he hires, Janos, has a history that makes him despise necromancers, so he is not happy about his assignment.
Janos wanted out of the assignment before he even met Talia based on his pre-conceived notions and experience. Talia easily identified his hostility and knew she could not trust him not to harm her or let something happen to her. Where do they go from here? Will daily exposure to each other be enough to show them that people deserve a chance to provide themselves and not be stereotyped “sight unseen”?
This was a well-written story with strong characters and an interesting story line to keep the reader’s attention. Can the two of them build up trust with each other, or are their own experiences too strong to overcome and work together? Grab your copy and find out what’s going on!
The great character and plot development kept me totally engaged throughout the entire book! I look forward to reading more from this author!
Talia’s Bodyguard by Lisa Daniels is another good story of flawed characters with preconceived beliefs about those that are different. The plot continues to build throughout as our main characters slowly come to understand each other. It was an enjoyable and easy to read story with enough twists and turns to keep things fresh and interesting.
Talia loves her magic but keeps it undercover as most people are frightened by it. When her father is promoted he fears the danger she might be in from necro-haters and hires a bodyguard service for his daughter.
Traumatized as a child, Janos has hated even the thought of necromancers. Now his father has assigned him as a bodyguard to one. How will he be able do his job when he can’t stand to even look at her?
This five-star story is sure to make you think while the story delves into human relationships and preconceived beliefs.

The author has once again released a great read. Love the idea of a series based on necromancer’s. Janos did not want to like Talia, but there was something that drew him to her. What started out as a job, turns out to be so much more. Action, mystery and a bit of romance. Can’t wait for the next book.
