I enjoyed all 3 of these books. Each book is unique on it’s own. Well plotted, with a little romance thrown in without including explicit sex scenes.
This is a great series if you love retellings! I enjoyed all three immensely!
The first of these three novels is a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story, only this time with a dragon and an artist. It is fairly well done but it is a familiar story. The third book begins with a kidnapping , adds in hidden magic, and end with true love. Again well enough written but not outstanding. The second book is the best of the three mainly because it is more unique. A woman physician of the Order ofthe Palm is kidnapped and taken to treat an injured girl. Since the physician is now a slave, she can’t freely leave. And shortly thfe Black Plague infects the entire country. With help from a goddess, the physician “discovers” penicillin and saves the day. Good enough book but a stretch to believe.
Magic and dragons form the basis for entrancing fairy tales.
Interesting premise which started out great. Latter books really slowed down for me.
I’ve only read books 1 and 3 in this set, but they both were easy to read. I read them in one sitting. They play off fairy tales, which is obviously what the author was going for. Really good, easy reads.
The second & third books are better than the first, but they all are well written and enjoyable to read.
Fun, fascinating fantasy. I particularly enjoyed the retelling of beauty and the best in the first novel. Each novel works alone, but is part of the same world which she does a good job of creating. The novels are clean and we’ll written.
Not my usual but enjoyed. Did some jumping because of to much filler
Although these books varied in originality, I found each story to be an easy, relatively enjoyable read. I liked the personality of the female characters.
Absolutely loved it!
Characters not interesting enough and plots not intricate enough to sustain rewrite of fairy tales.
A very good read!
The first and third books were great. The second book was meh. The 1st book was a Beauty & the Beast retelling. It flowed really well and the story was fresh with new twists. Very clever.
The 2nd story was weird. It didn’t really flow or captivate my attention. I felt let down after reading the 1st.
The third was fresh and clever. I had a hard time putting it down. A glossary would be very helpful.
Good fun read.
Three very predictable “novellas”
excellent
I enjoyed all 3 books – three different twists on women who went into a relationship unwillingly but with men they came to love. The men were all 3 loving and considerate of the women – none were abusive – even though the women did not choose them initially. There was no violence.
Liked the character’s
Nice stories. Fascinating world.
