Two heroines struggling to freedom and safety, two very different solutions.
This collection contains both stories of this fantasy adventure series. The stories are well written and easy to read, but have a good depth to them. The characters are well developed and face significant challenges to overcome. How they do that is, of course, the basis of each story. Overall, I found both stories to be very engaging and rather moving at times as well. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
Highly recommended.

Excellent Fantasy Series
My first introduction to this author was her The Cauldron Effect series, which I absolutely adored. But these are the first total fantasy books of hers that I’ve read. Yes, the other series is certainly speculative fiction, but that felt somewhat grounded in reality along with its strong paranormal aspects. I’m happy to see that she is multi-talented. This series is well written, too, even though it is so different from the other of hers I read. She has created a complex world but not given into that typical fantasy flaw of info-dumping about the world. Instead, she opens her books by bringing us right into the characters’ world as it is, and lets the world-building take care of itself as the story progresses. I was surprised at the level of action in these books. Stuff certainly kept happening! I loved these super strong sisters as they battled so much in their quests for freedom and control—and even acceptance and love—while still doing what needed to be done, working also for the best for those around them. The author certainly gave them many obstacles to overcome. A well-done fantasy read.
I received a free copy of this complete series, but that did not affect my review.

I liked this series. It has magic, action, adventure and an evil King who has outlawed magic. There was twists and fun characters that made the story interesting to read to find out what was going on. In Hidden I had to read it to see how Gilly would keep her family safe and what they would all have to go through to survive. In Hush Tamara goes on a quest and to save her family basically and was a hoot. Just a good read that kept me entertained.
The story begins in a small village that Gilly has been hiding in for a long time, she has magic which is forbidden but the worst part is she was that when she had run her mother and siblings were left behind more than likely dead. Gilly had managed to escape with her baby sister Anna, for safety reasons she had left her at the Temple luckily she was adopted but had no knowledge that Gilly was her sister. When Gilly uses her magic to save her sister’s child she brings the horsemen down on the village. Now she must flee again only now she must reveal herself to Anna and convince her they must escape with her family. The adventure begins with all looking for a safe place. The party picks others as they travel and Gilly’s memory begins to return so does the true horror of all that had taken place. As the Journey continues many adventures follow leading to a magical town where Gilly learns what she must do. The next book picks up where this one ended, even though a solution had been found in book one the second book has another set of problems a missing child, dragons, new worlds, and a very frustrated young woman that has been severely scarred mentally from the abuse she had suffered, and new worlds to explore. I loved these books very descriptive great characters.

I like being drawn into a book and this one does just that. It feels like you are there witnessing what is happening rather than just reading a storyline. This normally is not the genre I read but glad I did.
This is survival at its best. Two sisters in trouble face perils and enemies out to destroy everything they hold dear. The villains must be stopped, but how? Be prepared for twists and turns. Be prepared for getting involved and rooting these women forward. Be prepared to be entertained.
I’m glad I followed the journey of these two sisters onto a path that leads to love and acceptance…. and freedom.
It was a great read. Found it quite entertaining. The characters felt like they were alive almost coming from my book. Lol. It’s definitely a story others should read. Oh dont get me started with the twists and turns that left you wanting just another one…..even if you’d have a heart attack.

*** Reviewing “HUSHED (#2)” ***
Tamara has had a rough time of things. Losing her father at a young age, then trapped by a time spell where no one could hear her cries of help, these were traumatic events that shaped her young life. It convinced her of one important thing – no one would control her life going forward. And it made her a very difficult young lady to deal with. So when her mother, Mamosia, Queen of Ryca, tries to invoke that very controlling thing of forcing a marriage, she rebels. Then the amazing adventure starts!
When her nephew gets snatched up because of her actions, Tamara decides to go after him. But things don’t work out as well as expected since the chase from realm to realm leads her to magic and encounters with all sorts of monsters, dragons, and giants, always moving toward self-discovery and a fate laid out for her. As if the overwhelming creatures alone are not enough, someone is after her who wishes her harm! She can either become the hero warrior who saves the day, or she will be destroyed along with family, friends, and perhaps everything around her! Can she make a difference? Can she succeed against these odds? Can she rise to her destiny?
This was an enjoyable story, fast-paced and easily able to hold the reader’s attention. The characters were well-described, with their thoughts and emotions displayed to the reader to make it all seem more real. Grab your copy and enjoy Tamara’s journey. The twists and turns will take you to some new insights as she grows into the person she was meant to be.
