****Can be read as a standalone****A girl with a dream who doesn’t need a distraction. And a guy who doesn’t give a damn.JudeThere’s something sexy about a girl who’s determined to chase her dreams, and Quincy Phillips is the poster child for determination. She’s also the woman who’s consumed my thoughts since I laid eyes on her months ago.And now I’ve been tasked with helping her achieve those … ago.
And now I’ve been tasked with helping her achieve those dreams.
Unfortunately for me, she’s also determined to push me away, convinced I’ll only be a distraction.
It’s a good thing she’s been ordered to complete my every request then, isn’t it?
Quincy
I’ve been working for this opportunity for years, and can almost taste the victory on my lips.
That is, until my sexy British mentor arrives.
His swoon-worthy accent makes me wonder if his kiss might be even sweeter than proving to the world that a girl can play with the big boys.
No. I refuse to get distracted.
My eyes are on the prize, but the longer I’m around him I can’t help but wonder… is my focus on the right one?

Let me begin by saying that I am not a gamer. No one in my family is a “professional” gamer. (Don’t tell my son that he’s not a professional Fortnite gamer because you will break his 8 year old heart.) None of my immediate friends are “professional” gamers. With all of that said, I wasn’t sure that I would like this book. However, the gamers in this book played their way into this noob’s heart. This sweet love story was a refreshing break from the more explicit romances that are out.
Quincy, Quin to her friends, is an up and coming gamer, a celebrity in her on right. But this 19 year old, beautiful fiery red head is a noob in almost all aspects of life, except gaming, where she dominates in a mostly male environment. After losing her mother to cancer at a young age, Quin is left to care for her father who developed dementia while Quin was still in high school. She has spent most of her young life working keep a roof above their heads, food in their stomachs, and most of all medical care for her aging father whose dementia has progressed at an unusually rapid rate leaving him requiring round-the-clock care. Quin is an introvert who has recently turned her gaming hobby in to a profession, with an agent and thousands of subscribers who watch her play Gateway Guardians. She has recently been chosen to place a member of Team AFK, who will be playing in the Word Championship of Gateway Guardians. If they win, Quin could go home with one million dollars… as long as she doesn’t get distracted by her drool-worthy assistant coach, Jude.
Jude is a legend. He was a member of the British team when they won the World Championship but has since retired and is now a partner in the second fastest growing company in the state of Utah. Jude is a total nerd. He games. He codes. He wears glasses. He should look like a dork… but he’s doesn’t. Jude is hot with mesmerizing brown eyes, a ridiculously handsome face, and a beautifully toned body. Did I mention that the is British? He also has a celebrity crush on his favorite up-and-coming Gateway Guardians gamer, who is none other than the young, beautiful Quincy Phillips. His fantasies become reality when his company sponsors Team AFK, and he becomes the assistant coach.
I give this book 4.5 propellers. The story of Quin and Jude has been told many times before with many different names. It is a story of an older man who falls in love with a younger, innocent, woman and slowly draws her out and teaches her to live life but Kelsie Rae’s story is different. It’s more than a young girl blossoming at the encouragement of the older man. It’s a young girl discovering that she can compete and kick ass in a male dominated world. It is young girl learning to appreciate her own beauty and strength. It’s a young girl realizing that it is okay to dream.
Jude is the third book in Kelsie Rae’s Signature Sweethearts series. I will definitely be going back to read the others and look forward to the fourth.
This series has been so enjoyable! Jude has added another great installment. He & Quin are such a FUN couple! I really loved how they had been fans of each other before meeting & how their relationship progresses. The pacing & plotting are great, the writing smooth, and the supporting characters also get two thumbs up!
There is some sad along w/ all the happy as we journey w/ Quin through acceptance of her father’s illness, but the way their relationship is presented is super sweet & they get an HEA of sorts, too.
All in all a GREAT read! : )
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I have to admit, Jude might be one of my favorite book boyfriends! It’s been a long time since I’ve read a hero that makes me swoon as hard as Jude did. I loved everything about this story. I’m not a huge gamer, but I love reading about nerdy things. This book had just the right amount of nerdy for me.
I loved Quin. I loved her innocences. I loved her heart. She was such an amazing heroine. She’s exactly what I was hoping she would be. And Jude…this man is so much more than I can put into words. This man goes above and beyond for his girl and I loved it so much.
I loved this story and can’t wait to see what Kelsie Rae has in store for us next. Please check out this amazing book.
Jude is a completely different type of romance novel that is very refreshing. Jude is very sweet and laid back. Quinn is young, innocent, nerdy, and also lonely. She’s had to basically take care of herself since her mom died while she was at a young age and her dad got Alzheimers. Both Jude and Quinn connected thou thru video gaming. The way Jude got thru talking to Quinn thru text and computer I think was pretty neat and Im sure it happens all the time. Kelsie did a great job on this book.
Jude and Quinn are so cute together!! I’m so happy that we get to read Jude’s story. After reading Breezy, I was left wondering about Jude, and I couldn’t have asked for a better story! Quinn is a shy and isolated girl, while Jude is the opposite. He’s got an ego for days, and starts off on the wrong foot with Quinn when they first meet. After chatting with her through gaming under a different name, they hit it off. Jude quickly helps her out of her introverted ways, and they fall madly in love with each other!
The storyline is so good, and the characters make you fall in love! I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait to read more by this author!
What a cute fun love story. It’s an easy read and a great way to spend a few hours. First time reading this author, will read more.
As in Kelsie Rae’s previous book, I found this book entertaining and refreshing. It’s the story of nerd and nerdess! We met Jude in Breezy as he is Derrick’s friend and partner. The 2 men are sponsoring the world championships of the gaming world. Jude has been sent to coach the team and there he meets Quincy, a player that he’d watched and respected online. At the same time, Quincy has admired Jude and his gaming abilities for years. They develop an online friendship and eventually, Quin trusts enough to break out of her sheltered comfort zone.
This friend to lovers/HEA story is beautifully written, drawing the reader into their lives from the first chapter.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.
I enjoy Kelsie’s books, even though they are part of a series, the storyline, the characters’ personality, each book is unique in its own way.
I liked Jude in Breezy, I was really happy when I knew that he was going to get his own book, and it didn’t disappoint me, it made me liked him even more. And Quin, I felt related to her in so many ways. It was a nice ride to accompany her on her journey of self-discovery.
Jude and Quin were so good and sweet together, just adorable. I would have liked a bit more of angst in the end but that ending was just lovely.
I could see a lot of myself in Quincy, and I think it made the book stand out more to me. I could also relate to what she was going through with her father. The gaming aspect was new to me, however. I love that she was able to find someone to help get her out of her comfort zone and to live life. There was so much more to Jude than we saw in Breezy, and I was glad to “meet” him again. He was patient and understanding, while lovingly giving Quin the little push she needed to help her out of her own mind. Loved that!
I so love this book. Jude is just so yummy. I’ve been waiting for his book ever since I read Breezy. His story did not disappoint.
Omg!! I could not put this down!!! A sassy and nerdy love story! ~ Ashley
This is a new and fresh take on a love story. I have never read a love story of gamers but this one make all the others that come along have a high bar to reach. The British gamer and the girl gamer are two that you would not expected to come together, but they do. My favorite part is when Jude meets Quinn’s dad it had me in tears and will have you falling in love with Jude even more than before. I am in love with Kelsie Rae and all her books I cannot wait for the next one to come out.
I Absolutely adore Jude!! The character, the book, everything! I could not wait for his story and Ms.Rae did not dissapoint. I loved reading about the relationships between the gamers and how they interacted. Can’t wait for more by this author.
We first heard about Jude in the first book and it was a great surprise to see he made it to a book of his own. The author did a great job with this story and the chemistry with these two main characters was so good. You could feel yourself getting trapped in the book and it was great. Didn’t want to put it down. You wont be sorry picking this book up to read.
After reading Breezy, I was hoping Jude would find his forever!!
Sweet, quiet, gamer, nerd girl taking care of her ailing daddy. + Confident, rich, hot, gamer, wt a sexy accent= Such a sweet, romantic, funny read!!!
Thank you Kelsie Rae, you did not disappoint wt Jude!
It pays to be awkward. Especially when being true to ourselves. Jude is a gamer’s paradise. The masquerade presents the draw, but it’s the meaningful characters, witty dialogue and positive message that keeps the joy alive. Jude and Quincy are fighting to live their own truth despite how other people judge them. Behind the pretty face and the gorgeous smile are two people searching for their place to belong. Can they step out of the fantasy long enough to appreciate the realities of life? Rae appeals to the underdog, the doubters and the dreamers. Her stories give us the courage to reach for the stars, no matter the distance.
Loved this book such s great read. Loved Jude in the first book loved him even more in this one
Kelsie Rae’s books keep getting better and better! She has brought us another sweet love story with wonderful characters that you will fall for too. She takes us into the world of professional gamers which made the story unusual and fresh.
Jude is drawn to Quinn through her online gaming skills and if he thought she was beautiful online, she takes his breath away when they finally meet.
Quinn has lived a very sheltered life. She is an introvert to start and is dedicated to taking care of her ailing father and playing on her computer. Jude opens up her world and shows her how to live. She just needed a nudge and a leap of faith to finally experience life. And now her life is so full of possibilities!
This is the 3rd book in the Signature Sweethearts series.
When young, video gamer Quincy, meets her idol Jude, sparks fly. Quincy is a shy innocent young woman who lives a sheltered life with her father.
Jude helps her break out of her shell and start living.
This is a sweet romance and even though I am not into playing video games, I did enjoy reading this book.
A feel good story for everyone-but especially for gamers. It had a nice flow and a happily ever after. The point of view shifts confused me toward the end when a third person’s POV came in, but I think that might have been to set up a potential sequel.
Quin is a second class citizen in the gaming world. She doesn’t have a Y chromosome. She is really good at gaming and it landed her a contract and an agent. Which is fortunate since she is the sole provider for her and her father at the age of nineteen. When the opportunity to play in a gaming championship falls in her lap, she has to go for it even if it means leaving her comfort zone. Jude gamed professionally and it killed his love of the game. He would rather play for fun and watch up and coming gamers. He discovered Quin a while back and he is smitten with the redhead. Then the opportunity to meet Quin and be the assistant coach for her team in the championship comes, he knows he has to go for it. But will Quin step out of her comfort zone when she meets Jude who she crushed on when he played professionally, or will she play it safe?
I don’t usually read too many sweet reads but the blurb for Jude caught my eye and I couldn’t resist. I am so glad I took a chance on a new to me author. Kelsie Rae does a wonderful job of showing you all the magic of attraction and developing a relationship. Jude was truly a stand-alone story, even though it is listed as number three in the Signature Sweethearts series. He was a secondary character in Breezy and the couple from that make an appearance. Jude is simply adorable and it doesn’t hurt that he has a British accent. Quin is so closed off, with good reason. I wanted give her a hug and be her bestie. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Jude and Quin and I will be going back and reading the first two books, Liv and Breezy. 5 stars for Jude!
