Wow! This story is one hot, wild ride!! Gabriel has been in prison for ten years and was just pardoned. The mafia is nifty that way. He’s one huge guy who has a vendetta. Meghan is the only daughter of the head of the Irish mafia. She’s being forced to marry Alexei. He’s one evil Russian asshole. Luckily, Gabriel breaks up the wedding and steals Meghan… for his wife! These two are quite the pair! She loves him. She hates him. It was very much like the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith!! Gabriel and Meghan have scorching chemistry and that makes for a very steamy romance. Taking Meghan had lots of great action and steamy sex. Any fan of Dark Romance will love this story! 4 stars
Meghan is such a bad$#%!! I love this series & this book was a great addition. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one. Gabriel is such a brute! He has met his match in Meghan. I really didn’t want to put this book down, unfortunately I had to a few times. This will be one of my go to books that I will read over & over. If you haven’t read this series yet you need to!!
Mayhem and bedlam have never been portrayed so well!! Gabriel knows just how to accomplish both is a matter of seconds. The dynamic between Meghan and Gabriel is phenomenal. Loved hearing from Lucifer and Lily, Simon and James of course. This book had me hooked from the prologue and continued with its action, steaminess and intriguing plot. Izzy & Sean have done it again!!
My new favorite!
Oh my hotness in Gabriel. After reading about Simon picking up Gabriel from jail I didn’t see him getting a story so quickly but he definitely deserved it. Head strong and determined Meghan was his perfect match and the twists and turns in this book you really don’t see coming especially the graveyard scene. This book is everything you want, adventure, plot twists, epic hot scenes and of course a very happily ever after. All the stars and a must read in 2019!
Let me start this review by saying that I absolutely adore The Disciples series written by Izzy Sweet and Sean Moriarty. They are such a dynamic team; their writing style is beyond fun to read, and it is just so easy to forget you’re reading fiction and not actually witnessing the story. It’s that good.
Taking Meghan is the fifth book in the series of stand alones (with repeating characters) and it is every bit as wonderful as the previous four. This story follows Gabriel and Meghan as they struggle to find themselves, who they are and what they want, all the while trying to stay alive in the violent criminal world created by these two fine authors. I won’t talk about the plot (read the blurb) but I will talk about what a treat it is to have another book written by these two. I love the world they have created.
I can’t tell you how much I impatiently awaited this next book in the series, and it didn’t disappoint, not one bit. The entire series is on my reread list and so Taking Meghan is now a part of that group as well. Highly recommended.

So much happens in this story! Gabriel and Meghan have great dialogue with each other. There are some pretty explicit and violent scenes. I loved Gabriel, I thought he and Meghan were perfect for each other. I think this my favorite Disciples story.
Gabriel and Meghan are the stars in this brand new release by Izzy Sweet and Sean Moriarty. This is a dark romance just so you all have been warned, if you need a trigger warning this book probably isn’t for you, but if not happy reading! Gabriel (Simon’s brother) has been incarcerated for the past 10 years and understandably a lot has changed in that time and he’s currently out and just trying to readjust to life free from bars. Then there’s Meghan she unfortunately has mostly become a pawn in her fathers game, and is being forced to marry Alexi Rastov.
Gabriel and the rest of the Disciples have heard through the grapevine about this wedding and decide to attend. Gabriel pretty much takes one look at Meghan and is determined to marry her himself before they leave the church. Chaos ensues as it usually does, and before Meghan truly is able to grasp what has happened she’s being saved last second from having to marry Alexi and is now under the protection of Gabriel and the rest of the Disciples.
Meghan having never met Gabriel or any of his men before thinks she has gone from one bad situation straight into another. Over the next several day a lot changes in both of their worlds, and since I don’t want to give too much away you’ll just have to pick it up and read it to find out for yourself. I will say it’s full of lots of funny moments, plenty steamy ones and maybe a few that are slightly disturbing and while that may not sound like a good thing, if you’ve read any of the other books from this series you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. All of these men are crass, demanding, ruthless and make no apologies for it.
I absolutely loved it and if you’ve read this series and loved it in the past, you’ll love Taking Meghan. If you haven’t read anything from this series before I highly recommend you start at the very beginning with Keeping Lily. These books can be read as standalone but they’re so much better if you read them as a series!
