Life is about choices and sometimes you have to make one that could upend your plans
Taking His Time is the first book I have read by Sophia Martin and I quite enjoyed it. The story was nicely written with an interesting story-line that kept my attention and characters that were fun and a bit on the intense side of things. This story is really about what happens when you find the person that you know you should be with at what you believe is the most inopportune moment in your life. Do you turn your back and walk away giving up what may be a once in a lifetime love and happiness? Or do you become more adaptable and change what you really value and thought you wanted in life? Life is about choices and sometime what we think is our plan gets kicked out from under us and life has a way of happening even when we least expect it.
There were a few areas of the book that I thought could use a smidgen smoothing but overall I really enjoyed reading this first book by a “new to me” author. I will be reading more by her in the future.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I’m enjoying this new series. This book focuses on Nate, Rex’s brother from the first book. Btw, you do not need to read the first book. This is definitely a stand alone. Nate is a lawyer with anxiety issues. He runs and works out to help control his anxiety. When he has an episode in the gym, Geri helps him. Geri is the daughter of the owner and she has both a degree in PT and counseling and runs the gym. Nate and Geri get together and try to work through their workaholism. There are no spankings or D/s in this story, but it is an amazing one anyways. There is a HEA as well. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a great read I enjoyed the well developed and engaging characters and the storyline flowed smoothly from the beginning to the end.
