From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan comes a new story in her Fractured Connections series… It all started at a wedding. Beckham didn’t mean to dance with Meadow. And he really didn’t mean to kiss her. But now, she’s the only thing on his mind. And when it all comes down to it, she’s the only person he can’t have. He’ll just have to stay away from her, no matter … from her, no matter how hard they’re pulled together.
Running away from her friend’s wedding isn’t the best way to keep the gossip at bay. But falling for the mysterious and gorgeous bartender at her friends’ bar will only make it worse. Beckham has his secrets, and she refuses to pry.
Once burned, twice kicked down, and never allowed to get up again. Yet taking a chance with him might be the only choice she has. And the only one she wants.
For fans of Carrie Ann’s Fractured Connections series, Taken With You is book four in that series.
Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.

Both Meadow and Beckham have a past they don’t talk about. A past that could shatter the lives they had made for themselves. Cripple the future they dream of. This is an emotional story of mistakes, hope and love. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review!
Another great read by Carrie Ann Ryan. This is Beckham and Meadow’s story. We learn the secret’s of Beckham and Meadow. Their secrets aren’t pretty. I love Meadow she is so sweet. Beckham is alpha all the way. I enjoyed their story. The writing is wonderful. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I am so happy that Carrie Ann wrote about Meadow and Beckham. I have been curious about these two since the first Fractured Connection book! I was truly surprised to find out Meadows past. She had been through hell and back. Beckham and his past kind of surprised me a little as well. I loved these two together. I loved this series and I really want to read about Dillon getting his own happily ever after. His book would be so good!
This book took me a bit to get into since I was a bit under the weather but once I got going I couldn’t put it down. Meadow and Beckham are two people with secrets and they think they can’t find happiness. Following them through there ups and downs is one great read!
Beckham! I was so glad that he got his story and that it was with Meadow. I would have never guessed at their histories. They are both such strong and silent people with what they have been through. I love that they found each other. At first I was wishing that their story was more than just a short novella. And yet there was just the right amount of angst! I don’t think I could have handled a deeper and more emotionally wrought book.
Oh my god what can I say about Beckham and Meadow. This story is absolutely beautiful and is part of the Fractured Connections series. I loved reading Meadow and Beckham’s story. The way Carrie Ann writes this gives you the feels. Absolutely couldn’t put this down.
I really enjoyed this story! I was really happy to get both Beck and Meadow’s story! They are part of the group in the Fractured Connections series and we see them throughout. While they become part of our main groups there is a lot we don’t know about them and their pasts. It is obvious that there are large stories for them that have made them who they are but until this book, the reader really doesn’t know much. I really enjoyed getting to know them and their backstories, while getting to see them come together. They are connected in ways that they were not expecting and have more in common as well. I loved getting to see both of them overcome their past and become the people that they wanted to be. This is a shorter story so of course not everything has as many details as I would have loved to have had but this story is well written. So while I would have loved more, I didn’t feel like I was missing something out of the story. This definitely fits in the series regarding the amount of depth that this book has. These characters kinda went through hell in order to come out the other side to where we meet them. I liked getting part of that story and of course, watching them work it out between them that yes, they did deserve a happy ending. I loved getting to come back to this series and the other characters as well, as we get to catch up with them some in this one. I really hope that we get Dillion’s story at some point!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I loved Beckham and Meadow’s story. Very well written and I loved the characters. Once I started reading this book, I didn’t want to put it down. Carrie Ann Ryan is an amazing author
This is book 4 in the Fractured Connections series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one. This book has been building since the very first book came out. And while it might be novella length-it doesn’t leave anything left hanging! I don’t know about anyone else but I was really looking forward to a story for Meadow and I absolutely loved this one! Meadow has always been the quiet friend that you don’t really know anything about. And what this story goes into was definitely NOT what I was expecting. Beckham is the same, the bartender that doesn’t give anything away about himself. But these two always seemed like they would be perfect for each other, and they really are. They have an interconnected past that I know I didn’t see coming but it explains so very much. But it also made them better people who figured out that they wanted to be more than they were, and I absolutely loved that. I really don’t want to say much because it might spoil the story.
TAKEN WITH YOU by Carrie Ann Ryan is book 4 in the Fractured Connections Series. This is the story of Beckham and Meadow. I have read the previous books which added to my enjoyment of this one but you can make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Meadow was once the daughter of an MC President but that MC became a darker place where her father started abusing her mother which in turned had her being abused. Then she was literally sold to a rival MC Gang member who she thought she cared for but he of course became abusive physically and mentally. Luckily she was able to escape and turned her life around. Now at a friends wedding she happens to meet Beckham where they have an immediate attraction but they both have their secrets that neither seem to want to share to the other. Enjoyed this book!
Holy cowabunga, where do I even begin? I love stories about side characters, and Carrie Ann is so amazing at them. I loved both Beckham and Meadow before this, but never really thought of them together. My favorite part of the story was how Carrie Ann made their pasts line up!
You never truly know a person it seems, and both Beckham and Meadow both really showed this to us. They both had a super intense past, for similar and separate reasons. It was kind of beautiful to see them worry about their past when the other didn’t have any idea that their past was so similar. And it was even more beautiful to see them live their lives together. I loved how they helped each other smile again, just like the Connolly brothers did with their women. This series name has so much meaning through each of the couples stories, and I think it holds even more truth for these two.
I am so happy Carrie Ann came back and gave us their story, I can’t wait to see what she does with Dillon!!!
Received an advance copy from the author.
Beckham and Meadow were amazing. This story had a lot of angst since they were both hiding from their past. The story line was great, and WOW, didn’t see the twist coming. Glad they were finally able to come to terms with everything and find their HEA.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Carrie Ann Ryan is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
This was such an amazing read, Taken with you had me hooked. Carrie Ann Ryan did a fantastic job with creating this story. A definite one click book that you need to read.
This is a short story and though I haven’t read any of the previous stories in this series, it’s easy to follow along. It helped me fall in love with those previous characters and the love of their family; one they chose, even if it’s not the one you were born with. Beckham and Meadow come from dark pasts and trying to move from them. I love how they realize that they’re not their pasts or mistakes and move forward together to forge a new future.
4.5 Stars
This is a quick, good story. Beckham and Meadow both have pasts shrouded in secrecy they are trying to leave behind. Being involved with each other is dangerous but they can’t seem to stay away.
I have missed the Connley brothers. What better way to revisit them than with a wedding. Beckett and Meadow have tried to avoid each other. They do their best, but fate has other plans. I loved how they came together and how their friends stuck with them through everything. When a bartender with a secret and a homebody get together, sparks will fly. I definitely recommend this book.
This was a great story. I really enjoyed how this book started and seeing our favorite friends again, but Beckham and Meadow took my breath away. Learning about both of their pasts and what they’ve gone through was definitely an insight into the people they are now and how it has affected their lives. I was truly heart broken when reading about Meadow’s past and shed quite a few tears for her and then when the connection came out, I just wanted to be there for her with all the girls. It was perfect when the guys rallied to help Beckham, with Dillon taking the lead, and the girls rallied to help Meadow. The ending was definitely fitting for these two. My favorite line from this story was, ‘I was coming to realize that maybe we were allowed more than one chance at happiness’. Great addition to the Fractured Connections series.
What happens when two people don’t think there is someone out there for them, mostly because of their past. Beckham and Meadow have overcome so much, having a connection without really know about it.
Once truths are exposed, what will they do?
This story just pulled at my heartstrings. I wanted to reach out and hug Meadow, tell her everything will be all right. And Beckham, he’s just a big softy in a rough body. It was so great to see them get together and realize they are meant for each other.
This book….absolutely stunning. I’m floored by how much this author packed into this novella. And one of my favorite tropes (I’m not giving it away, but it shows a more gritty side of a trope that I normally adore, which left me a bit unsettled!) This book was all about secrets, and how they can make or break your life!
Beckham is reinventing himself. Becoming the person he knows he can be, after leaving the life he knew, the person he had become, behind. In doing that, he had secrets, ones that he held close to his chest and told no one about, hoping that one day, they didn’t come back to haunt him.
Meadow also has secrets, a past that haunts her. But she hides from her past, living life on her own terms. She can only hope to be able to become someone she can be proud of. One glimpse, one dance, changes everything. Beckham pulls at her, stirs her emotions, like no one has before, makes her want what she though wasn’t possible. She just has to decide what she wants to do with that, if she can be brave enough to grab at the possibilities.
Meadow and Beckham’s story is full of secrets, and intrigue. Their story, despite being a novella, fits in so well with the Fractured Connections series. Theirs is truly that, a connection that was broken, not even fully formed, and then put back together to become something amazing. A beautiful story, one that really shows that family, and love, is what you make of it!
