From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan comes a new story in her Fractured Connections series… It all started at a wedding. Beckham didn’t mean to dance with Meadow. And he really didn’t mean to kiss her. But now, she’s the only thing on his mind. And when it all comes down to it, she’s the only person he can’t have. He’ll just have to stay away from her, no matter … from her, no matter how hard they’re pulled together.
Running away from her friend’s wedding isn’t the best way to keep the gossip at bay. But falling for the mysterious and gorgeous bartender at her friends’ bar will only make it worse. Beckham has his secrets, and she refuses to pry.
Once burned, twice kicked down, and never allowed to get up again. Yet taking a chance with him might be the only choice she has. And the only one she wants.
For fans of Carrie Ann’s Fractured Connections series, Taken With You is book four in that series.
Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.

Love deserves a Second Chance!
I have been waiting for Beckham’s story since first meeting him. He was always the nice funny but a too serious guy who loves to pick on the Connolly brothers. But I wasn’t expecting that type of back story for him or Meadow. Broke my heart but was so glad when Meadow opened herself up to Beckham.
All we need how to close out this series is the Romance/Woman Guro Dillion, to get his story because I can’t wait to see him find his girl and fall head over heels in love.
I really enjoy all of CAR’s books! Taken with You is no different! I loved that Beckham and Meadow had similar backstory’s but I totally felt Meadow’s betrayal that Beckham didn’t tell her. It was the appropriate amount of backstory for a novella but I would have liked more for a full length novel. Overall, I recommend!
Beckham and Meadow I actually didn’t see this book coming usually I can tell when another book in a series is sure to come out, because usually a person or couple stand out but this was a pleasant surprise and I loved it. This was an amazing read and I loved the chemistry between the Beckham and Meadow and how they tried so hard to ignore it, I cannot wait to see what happens now.
This was the first book that I have read in this series and I really enjoyed it. Quick read that will leave you wanting more of the Fractured Connections world. Loved Meadow and Beckham. They were so good together. I can’t wait to go and read the other books because I need more of this series.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Although it hasn’t been easy Meadow managed to escape the only life she has ever known. She has created a new life for herself and been embraced by the Connolly family, but she doesn’t want anyone to know about her past or the woman she used to be. She never expected that one dance with the bartender at her friend’s wedding would change everything.
Cameron has a past of his own that he wants to ensure stays where it belongs. He is friends with the Connolly’s and works at their bar and has watched Meadow from afar. One dance has him wanting more but will the past that they share, that she doesn’t remember, destroy the relationship that they have been building?
I really enjoyed watching the relationship between Meadow and Cameron unfold and it was great to catch up with characters we know and love. I liked how the one man that everyone goes to for relationship advice is the youngest Connolly, Dillon.
I really enjoyed Meadow and Beckham’s story. Meadow has run from her former life and it is hard for her to socialize but slowly she is becoming stronger with the help of her friends. Beckham knows the life that Meadow came from because he was part of the same thing and feels that because of that he needs to stay away from her. When they both decide to live in the now and not worry about what may happen later. Unfortunately the past never stays there and soon they have to decide to either let the past control the future or fight for a future together. Well written novella and great glimpse at this world. Don’t have to have read the other stories in the series to enjoy this one.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.
This is the fourth book in the Fractured Connection series. You can read it as a stand alone it won’t interfere with the other stories in the series thus far.
Harmony and Beckham finally get their due! I was so excited to see what would happen with these two characters. What their secrets were. Why they held back. Before this book we know virtually nothing about their backgrounds and what caused them to withdraw from opening up to those that considered them friends.
Ironically Harmony & Beckham’s backgrounds mirror each other pretty closely. It comes back to haunt them in this story but with the help of their friends they’re able to push past.
I wish there was more in this book for these two. The book is only 118 pages so it’s short. Their story quickly unfolds. You’ll get to see a bit of their hopes, fears and then their HEA.
Taken with you is Meadow and Beckham’s story. I was excited to read this book because Beckham was a character I wanted to learn more of. I loved how Meadow and Beckham came together and how their pasta were intertwined. The struggles they each had to go through to get to their happily ever after was well written and their chemistry was scorching. I love that we get glimpses into all the characters we have read about already and I really hope Dillon gets a book as well. Another great read from Carrie Ann Ryan.
Beckham and Meadow are so good together. They are both hiding and broken, however there broken pieces fit so well together. I loved the family they created and the willingness to let go of the past and move forward together. This book answered so many questions and had so many feels. It’s a must read!
What happens when a dance at a friend’s wedding leads to a kiss? Meadow is friends with the Connolly women. Meadow is a textbook writer who works from home and loner. Meadow has secrets from her past that she wants to keep hidden. Beckham works as a bartender for the Connolly’s and is part of their inner circle, along with Meadow. Beckham has his own secrets he is keeping hidden, but his biggest secret is that he knows who Meadow really is. Beckham and Meadow both know they should stay away from each other, but the chemistry and attraction is too strong for them to ignore. What happens when Beckham’s past comes walking into the Connolly’s bar? Will Beckham lose Meadow when he tells her about his past and that he has always known who she was? Will Meadow walk away from Beckham when she learns the truth? Can Beckham and Meadow find their happily ever after? I LOVED Taken With You by Carrie Ann Ryan. Taken With You is a fantastic book with great characters. Taken With You has hot chemistry, secrets, family, love, and a happily ever after. I LOVE Carrie Ann Ryan, and she is a MUST read author for this reader. I would highly recommend getting Taken With You and the other books in the Fractured Connections series. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
1 Dance + 1 kiss + buried secrets = 1 Happily Ever After. Carrie Ann Ryan writes a great short and emotional story that flows right along with the other books in the series.
Been waiting for Beckham and Meadow’s story since we were first introduced to them, and it did not disappoint. I read it all in one sitting and loved it from beginning to end
Taken With You is a quick read, perfect for a winter evening.
Beckham and Meadow come from the same world but keep it a secret. Both are running from the past. But can they really leave the past behind? To find out you have to read this story. I enjoyed reading it.
I liked B&M and I wish their love story was a full length novel.
Beautifully broken
I really enjoyed meeting back up with the characters from fractured connections and finding out more about Beckham and Meadow and watching their love story unfold Certainly didn’t see that story coming but it certainly explained many questions I had
Now’s to hoping that Carrie does a story for Dillon when he’s all grown up
What can I say, I loved Beckett and Meadow’s story. Carrie Ann Ryan never disappoints for me. This novella was a perfect addition to the Fractured Connection World. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book can be read as a standalone. Meadow and Beckham both from the Fractured Connections series finally get their story. Having a little attraction to one another they share a dance and a kiss at their friends wedding leaves them both wanting more. Will they be able to have that? Will their secrets come out and hurt what they each have going for themselves? Their lives, the journey has been rough but is it their time for happiness? If you want a super sweet and sexy novella read this!!!
TAKEN WITH YOU by Carrie Ann Ryan is bk 4 in the Fractured Connections Series. This is Meadow and Beckham’s novella read. They are part of the group in the Fractured Connections series and we see them throughout the series and now this is their story/novella. I did have hope that they would get a full book but hey, a novella will work.
Meadow was once the daughter of an MC President but that MC became a bad place when her dad started beating her mom then she ended up was abused by the MC. She was sold to a rival MC group. Her life was horrific until she escaped. She doesn’t want people to know how bad her life was so she keeps that secret. She starts her life over , fresh and it’s at a wedding that things changed.
Beckham is this broody, hot, sexy, sweet bartender that is an honorary member of the Connolly family.
The wedding changes the dynamic of their relationship and the chemistry between them is sensational. Yet they both have secrets that will change things. Can they overcome their past and will they be able to get their much deserved HEA ?
A great novella that has the heat, feels, romance and heart.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
Thank you Inkslinger and the author for an advanced copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Taken With You
A Fractured Connections Novella
By: Carrie Ann Ryan
*REVIEW*
I’ve become a fan of the 1001 Dark Nights Collection, and I’m always glad to read a new addition. Taken With You is a story of redemption for Meadow and Beckham, both of whom escaped less than ideal situations. They each have something to hide and would like to keep these dark unpleasant things under wraps. Will Meadow and Beckham trust enough to reveal what they left behind and why? Moving on, starting over and building a new place for yourself is tough and emotionally scarring but not impossible. Both characters know this and are coping well, but if the past comes calling, what would you do? Run or confront it? Meadow and Beckham have hard choices to make with reprercusions either way. This novella is a quick but compelling read with flawed sympathetic characters you’ll be rooting for and drama you don’t want to miss. I recommend picking up a copy today!
This is another novella from 1001 Dark Nights, this one is about Beckham (the bartender) and Meadow (the neighbour from Violet) from Fractured Connections. I really enjoyed this story but I must be honest that I saw promise for a full novel so I’m a little disappointed that it ended so quickly
But the story is good, and it’s a great read if you cannot invest the time for a full novel. I wasn’t particularly interested in Beckham and Meadow before but as soon as I started reading I got interested. I am impressed with Carrie Ann Ryan’s skill in writing characters in such a way that there is always some way a character grows on you, personally I can really grow annoyed by a story if a character annoys me but Carrie Ann Ryan somehow manages to stop me from being annoyed about a character. If a character intrigues me the story gets so much better, which also happened with Taken with You. It was a short story so I’ll write a short review, I recommend reading this story!
From a reader that has read the whole series from the first book, this book does not disappoint. I was hooked on it from the first page and the character development was amazing. It was such a joy to see these two characters grow.
I always thought Meadow was a hippie that just loved to help everyone and was sort of shy. In this book, you get her past and why she is the way she is. Honestly it threw me for a loop but in a good way.
Beckham was always the sarcastic and tough bartender and it was epic to see his softer side.
You can read this as a stand alone but I truly recommend starting from the first book.
