I watched it all happen. Our world, crushed in a hot second. I was too blinded by lust to stop the exploding bullets in time. They shattered my life And my love. I failed myself. I failed the boss. Worst of all, I failed her. But this story is far from over, And our enemies don’t like loose ends. Money and revenge – they want it all. I always knew they’d be back to finish the job. I just never … ends.
Money and revenge – they want it all.
I always knew they’d be back to finish the job.
I just never expected her to be one of them.
TAKEN is the third book in the Italian mafia series, MEN OF MAYHEM, by USA Today Bestselling author Kristen Luciani. Be prepared to lose yourself in the dark, dangerous, and deliciously deviant underworld starring the Marcone family. Pulse-pounding suspense with a guaranteed HEA and no cheating.

The third book of the Men of Mayhem series, and we get Tommy this time.. he was the one who squealed like a girl in Coveted when Ant was trying to rescue Julia. Not the most manly of moments I will admit. We get a bit of backstory as Tommy’s love is Gemma, his bosses daughter; who proved to be a distraction and ultimately was Tommy’s downfall. This felt like non-stop action; full of drama, danger, violence. Not the best mafia story, but not the worst either. I give this 4 stars.
Kristen Luciani’s Men of Mayhem series is amazing and this newest book about Tommy Marcone doesn’t disappoint. If you want action, romance, deception and betrayal with tons of family loyalty only a mob family can dish out, you won’t want to miss this book.
The gang is all back together as they all come together to celebrate with Tommy as he gets ready to open his newest restaurant while hopefully surviving a new threat.
Mob family fans enjoy and if you are new I highly recommend this book and series.
Tommy and Gemma’s story is edgy and addictive. He walked away from her on her 18th birthday when all hell broke lose, but now years later he has to help because both their families are threathen and at risk. Will they be able to walk away this time around? This is a story of loyalty, family, suspense and drma. I could not put this book down once I started it! Great work Kristen Luciani!
This book is true brilliance. Kristen Luciani was at the top of her game with this one. This is Book Three of the Men of Mayhem series. This book told the story of Tommy Marcone and Gemma Cassarelli. Be prepared for a tangled web of lies and questions that will keep you guessing. This book is a five star mafia romance that you won’t soon forget. So buckle up buttercup and enjoy the ride. This book is a must read and I highly recommend.
This was on the edge of a seat read.
Right from the start I was absolutely drawn into the plot.
Justi as I thought I knew how the plot was going there was
a few twist in it what took it in a completely different direction.
The chemistry between Tommy and Gemma is off the charts even
when there’s betrayal involved.
I highly recommend this book.
Intense, fascinating and mind blowing are some of the first words that come to mind. The chemistry was insane the story line so packed full it should be charged excess luggage fees. This is such a uniquely amazing book that it just needs to be read
Fantastic book from start to finish! I kept turning page after page waiting to see what would happen next. Tommy and Gemma’s chemistry is off the charts hot, even when they face betrayal. Fabulous mafia romance with plenty of action throughout the entire story. Aria and Vince’s story is setting up to be epic!
Love will always blur the lines, infact it rips them away and that’s how Gemma and Tommy found themselves always wanting what they could never have. He was her fathers soldier trusted to keep his family safe, not make his daughter fall in love with him, until the night he burned all the bridges and all but killed her. An exciting read running on pure adrenalin, never slowing rollercoaster ride that you just never know what’s going to happen next. Throughly enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Another great story.
This is the Third book of the Men of Mayhem and it was a great story. Gemma and Tommy have so much coming at them from the lies of her brother. But it seems it’s getting worse as the try to make their way. This was a wonderful story and great storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat! The characters will pull you into their problems. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This was such a great read! Kristen never disappoints. She gripped from the very beginning and Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I just love these brothers. You will get to see them all and there will be some funny moments, thanks to Ant and his little quips. This is Tommy’s story and boy did it pack a punch. This is filled with action, suspense, deceit, secrets, twists and turns and some intense moments. I have to say these get better and better as we go. Hold on to your seats and hang on for one heck of a ride. This was such a great story and the characters are amazing. It’s so fun to meet new characters and see some familiar ones also. With these stories, families are everything and the men will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. While these are standalone, you can get better enjoyment starting from the beginning of the series. I think so anyway. I can’t wait to read the next one.
Taken is a second chance mafia romance and is the third instillation in the Men of Mayhem series by Kristen Luciani. The book focuses on the youngest sibling of the Marcone Brothers, Tommy (Tommaso), who is the secret bodyguard hired to protect Federico Cassarella and his wife and children (Gio and Gemma), and Gemma, who is attracted to Tommy who tries not to reciprocate her advances since she is the daughter of Federico who is a powerful Italian Mafia boss. When a threat to Federico and his family materializes, Tommy is blamed by Gio as being the cause of the tragedy. Gemma and Tommy separate for several years until a new threat arises to both of their families. I highly recommend this excellent book with it’s descriptive characters and well written dark plot with unexpected twists, betrayal, rage, mafia violence and action, and steamy romance. I can’t wait for the final book in the series entitled Fallen.
I received a free arc in return for an honest and voluntary review.
This is another superb trip into the mafia world of the Marcone family and this time we get Tomesino (Tommy’s) story
Tommy is a confusing mix he is the gentle brother who loves to cook and was the closest to their mother He is also the one who doesn’t hesitate to slice an enemy to get the answers he wants Vince his eldest brother and leader of the family has sent to work for the Casarella family He is to keep the father Fedirico safe and his cover is to be the best friend of the son Gio who really has a bad addiction to everything women drugs gambling you name he is into it. This has also put him into contact with Gemma the young daughter of the family and the woman he loves but he knows that nothing will ever come of it. That is until the fateful night of Gemma’s 18th birthday when Gio kills their only link to who is planning Fredrico’s death these leads to him been gunned down and Gemma gravely injured and Tommy forced to make a choice his family or the woman he loves. He picks family starting a chain reaction that nearly destroys Gemma and her mother When Gemma is drawn back into the wars between the families Tommy finally gets to tell her how he feels but danger is closing in and they may not all survive now it is Gemma that will face the family or the man she loves scenario What will she choose and will her and Tommy’s love survive her decision You will have to read to see
Now looking forward to Vince and Aria’s (i’m sure it will be her) story and maybe Gio’s story
Need more Tommy and Gemma. This book was crazy good with so much drama, lies, intense, and really good. Love Kristen’s mind.
Gemma has wanted Tommy for forever and Tommy has wanted Gemma forever. However, they both know it shouldn’t happen and luckily Tommy is the stronger of the two and has avoided any advances made by her. However, a man can only take so much before he gives in!
I loved the characters in this story, they definitely had major chemistry going on! This story, as in all in this series, had me on the edge of my seat!
He’s a loose cannon after things went bad and he lost the love of his life. Well, he walked away from the love of his life without defending himself or fighting for her. He felt defeated and was blaming himself for the way things turned out at her 18th birthday party. Tommaso now lives his life on the edge and does not let his head get clouded when he needs to do a job. He doesn’t ever want to miss anything again that could cause someone’s life to be in the balance.
From the first time she laid eyes on him she knew that he was it for her, but there was an age difference and he worked for her father. He’s also her brother’s best friend, or she believes he is. Gemma is naïve, young, and daddy’s little girl. The night of her 18th birthday everything goes terribly wrong and even after she lost her dream of playing soccer, she won’t recover from this situation. Her life will go downhill, and she’ll have to make the same decision that Tommaso did two years earlier. Will she be able to save everyone, or will it be a huge mistake on her part?
I love the Men of Mayhem series as much as I loved the Severinov Bratva Series. The characters are lethal, loyal and so much fun to read. This family is entertaining to read, and they always seem to find themselves in deep trouble, but they are good at getting out of it, with a little help from their extended family. I love Kristen Luciani’s books. She has a way with her characters that has you laughing, tearing up, and wanting to slap them throughout the books. In the end, they always win me over though. I give this book a 5-star review and I am so looking forward to Vincenzo Marcone’s story. He’s going to fall so far down the rabbit hole, just like Alex did. I cannot wait. It seems the higher they are in the family the farther they have to fall when the woman that steels their hearts come along.
Taken was so good!!! I was turning page after page and couldn’t get enough of the craziness. Tommy and Gemma had chemistry. This book had it all and so much more. Drama, loyalty, twists, turns, family, an emotional rollercoaster that makes the best mafia story!!!
This is book three in the Men of Mayhem Series and is a great addition to this series. Mayhem absolutely follows the Marcone Mafia men and women. Tommy and Gemma have known each other for years and have loved each other. For each of their own reasons, neither acted upon it. They are now, with both their families, in for the fight of and for their lives. Excellent read!
I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is the 3rd book in the Men of Mayhem series, and it’s Tommy’s turn. Ya kinda can’t help but love Tommy, and this just makes you love him more. You get a glimpse of a younger Tommy, when he was trying to get his bearings, prove himself, and when he was head over heels for Gemma Cassarella. When their world imploded, they went separate ways, but he never got over her. And he kinda let his rage simmer and her in not great situations (while making you smile along the way). When they get their second chance, there’s sweetness, and honesty (by some), and betrayal (by others), but still love by both. But will it be enough? I mean, this is the mafia after all . Totally loved them! And I definitely cannot wait for the next one!!
Taken is the third book in the Men of Mayhem series. This well written, action-packed, dark Italian mafia romance is extremely captivating and will have you on the edge of your seat. Kristen Luciani takes you through a roller coaster of emotions with the perfect amount of danger, jealousy, suspense, revenge, heartbreak, lies, drama, and so much more.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
ONE MIND-BLOWING WONDER!!!
Holy hell! Kristen brought it with this thrilling hot little number, ratcheting up the adrenaline and intensity, playing by hard fast rules and leading the pack, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Satisfaction is an understatement, this baby comes packing a punch that’ll bring you to your knees, keeping you riveted on a razors edge. Anarchy runs rampant and havoc is rife, rolling out the drama, turmoil, deception, intrigue, danger, spiraling suspense and intense situations, along with a double dose of confusion while dodging distruction, you have one mind-blowing masterpiece. Lines blur and boundaries crossed, limitations are stretched and bent, booting this baby forward, kicking it into overdrive, slamming it into a tailspin with an intoxicating culmination. A surging vortex of vexing mishaps and surprising circumstances, along with the intimidating trials and challenging tribulations, exposing the startling twists and stunning turns, put our characters through their paces. Kristen has this gem banging like a cheap screen door, throwing caution to the wind, no turning back and take no prisoners attitude, blowing this baby wide open, wrapping this jewel up seamlessly. This action packed, hard hitting, pulse racing, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, page flipping bombshell, propels this gem to a whole new level. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and individuality it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it’s like being transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Kristen, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
