Who says you can’t marry the same mistake twice?
Certainly not Nya Perez…because that’s precisely what she’s done.
Liam Watts is the bane of her existence.
Her first love. Father of her child. And breaker of her heart.
Oh, he’s also her ex-husband. Well, he was, anyway…right up til this morning, when she woke up beside him in a Vegas hotel room, sheathed in satin and tulle with a sinking … and tulle with a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach.
If it were just between the two of them, an annulment would be the obvious solution. After all, they wouldn’t be the first to marry and divorce at the little white chapel in the span of twenty-four hours.
But their daughter’s greatest wish has just been granted, and if there’s one heart Nya wants to protect more than her own, it’s Ellie’s.
So, she promises to give it six months.
There’s no way she’ll be swayed by his thick southern drawl, those well-defined abs, or that annoyingly delectable scruff lining his cheeks.
Nope. She’s got it all under control. Six months of playing house, then everything can go back to the way it was before.
But first she’ll have to muddle through marriage with Liam—take two.

Sexy Texan hero
Fiery Latina leading lady
lots of humor & heart
Take Two is RomCom at its finest. It’s absolutely hilarious with a combination of crazy situations, witty dialogue, and my personal favorites, sarcasm and sass. Liam and Nya were my favorite type of couple to read. Nya is full of sass and determined to keep Liam at arm’s length, and Liam – Well, Liam is just about perfect. I’m pretty sure if I looked up book boyfriend, I’d find Liam’s picture. Not only is he the source of most of the hilarity in this book, but he is totally swoon-worthy, which is where a lot of the emotion comes in. Yes, this crazy funny romance has plenty of that too, but Heather Orgeron’s timing for levity is uncanny. She manages to give us plenty of feels without letting it get too deep. To sum it up, this one is the perfect read for lifting your spirits and just giving you a good case of the warm and fuzzies. In terms of romantic comedy, it really doesn’t get much better than this, and I dare you to read this one without laughing out loud.
!
Take Two steamrolled its way into my heart.
It’s a wicked fast read that is sexy and hilarious.
One crazy night in Vegas brings loco consequences.
You see Nya and Liam come to terms with their past by letting go of all the old pain.
It’s spectacular to watch them co-parent and focus on a future for their daughter as well as each other.
Heather M. Orgeron has written one of my all time favorites, Dopplebanger.
Take Two is right up there with it.

Take Two is Orgeron at her best. A reminder to all that she is queen on rom-com.
This is an author you must put on your TBR list!
This is a spectacular romantic comedy that gave me all the feels! If you are looking for laughter, heat and a bit of angst, look no further!
This is the story of Liam and Nya. This is a true second chance romance.
Nya is a spicy Latina with no room for bs! She feels her relationship with her ex-husband is the way it’s going to be, an awesome friendship and a perfect co-parenting team. But deep down she still is holding a torch for Liam, but the past hurts and vulnerabilities tend to rear their ugly heads at just the wrong moments.
Liam!! This is one of the best heroes ever!! Not only is he an amazing dad, he truly loves Nya and will do anything in his power to make their second chance a permanent solution.
The dialogue is wicked fast and fantastically funny! I caught myself re-reading paragraphs to get another laugh out loud moment! (And that very rarely happens!) So hats off to you Ms. Orgeron for keeping this reader engaged until the very end!!
This book is going on my list for “Best Reads of 2020”!
I loved this book so hard!!! It was a wonderful story on second chance at love and that sometimes we can’t see what happened until after you really pay the consequences. It also showed that they really can be wonderful fathers out there. And when they have little girls that they try so hard and that is Liam to a T. And I won’t him all to myself. He makes mistakes a few of them and he keeps making some but his quest to win Nya back is strong. Nya has really never loved anyone but Liam but she just doesn’t want to trust him with her heart again. She just thinks she couldn’t make it a second time. But it’s amazing what us as mothers do for our children’s happiness and that gets Liam in the door. This book was perfect it had all the ingredients for that superb romcom!! And I want more of Liam and Nya!!! And I want to hear Hannahs story!!! I highly recommend this book!!!! -By Tina
Take Two is LIVE. Sexy, hilarious, and full of heart, you don’t want to miss this one!
OMG Heather!! Loved Liam & Nya’s 2nd chance. There is so much humor and love filtered throughout the pages. I couldn’t put this book down. So many scenes had me literally laughing out loud I’m really hoping we get Chance’s story
Everyone deserves a Second chance because maybe they didnt get it right the first time. These two certainly deserve their second chance. This is a sexy read with plenty of hwat, angst and drama. I totally love their daughter she is a hoot.
Nyla and Liam were married and got divorced. 10 years later they have a beautiful daughter and do a great job co parenting. A daughter’s birthday wish and a lot of alcohol later they wake up in Vegas married. Nyla wants no part of this when she wakes up and Liam convinces her that she said 6 months. Can he convince her in 6 months they belong together? Great characters and storyline. I absolutely loved this book laughed out loud so much my husband thought I was nuts. You all really need this book in your life.
Take Two is a awesome, funny, and sexy second chance read.
Liam and Nya are ex’s who share a daughter Ellie. Liam was her first love and he broke her heart. So what do you do when you wake up married to the ex husband who broke your heart? When it’s your daughter’s greatest wish to be a family again. You give it six months with no intentions of giving your heart to the man who broke it the first time you have it to him. This book was hilarious! The characters are amazing. Heather did a awesome job once again. I loved reading Take Two and definitely recommend.
I received a Advanced Readers Copy and I’m leaving a voluntary review.
Second chance romances are definitely one of my favorite tropes, so when I read the blurb of Heather M. Orgeron’s new release, Take Two, I was all about getting Liam and Nya’s backstory and then reading about how they found themselves with an impromptu wedding and a take two when it comes to making a go as not only a newly married couple but as a family – one that was their daughter’s birthday wish.
I’m all for feel good stories, and Liam and Nya’s book is exactly the kind of swoon worthy romcom I needed for what has to be one of the most chaotic weeks in my life. It’s clear these two characters have a soulful connection, and while the first go around led to a series of mistakes made that ultimately resulted in divorce, this time around, they’re in with eyes wide open, and even though Nya is way more hesitant than Liam with their new normal, what they share is worth the risk and the six months Nya agreed to, even if it started as a way to appease their daughter.
I’ve only read one other book written by Orgeron and that was an absolute tear jerker, so to see such a different side of her writing and how fluid her comedic quips and humorous scenes are crafted made for an incredible reading experience – one that I hope to repeat by reading more of her stories in the near future.
4.5 Poison Apples
A low drama, full of sarcastic snark, second chance romance Take Two was a ton of fun to read.
When their marriage imploded the first time, both Liam and Nya found themselves lucky to actually be friends on the other side of divorce, but when their daughter made her birthday wish out loud, they suddenly found themselves in Vegas and giving their marriage a “take two”.
While Liam never wanted to end their first go round, he is all in for this second chance. He’s never lost feelings for Nya and he cannot wait to spend the rest of his life with the love of his life. Nya has other thoughts going into this second chance. She gives them a six month trial at best. While she ended things the first time, she also isn’t ready to jump into the feelings that this marriage will bring, which also means she isn’t ready to jump back into bed with her hunky husband, even with Liam trying his best to whittle her will power away.
Liam has the best sarcastic snark while also having a wonderful sweet side. He is a devoted father and completely loves his wife. He is simply the best. Not to discredit Nya, she is just leary of getting hurt. While she ended things the first time, she felt justified to do so and isn’t quite to ready to open her heart once again and have it ripped out if things don’t work out.
Take Two is really about a couple who does know each other, but also relearning what makes the other tick, relearning how to love, and how to cohabitate while being parents and still finding those special moments and appreciating them. It’s a beautiful story of life at a stage where two people would have already been past the lovely dovey phase, but due to their circumstances they find beauty in each other and don’t take for granted what they already lost.
Liam and Nya fell in love and were married fairly young. As with most marriages there were good times and bad times. Due to some bad choices, misunderstandings, and lack of communication they end up divorced but remain friends. Friends with some serious chemistry. They also have a daughter they coparent and love. Liam is still as in love with Nya as ever but Nya is still too afraid and stubborn. A birthday party, a child’s wish, a little alcohol and Nya wakes up married. Liam is thrilled and ready to jump in feet first but Nya is not so ready. At first she balks but after awhile decides to play along with Liam and see where things go.
This book is so warm and fuzzy that I wanted to crawl and hang out with the characters. Liam is a good man and adorable. He’s almost as adorable as their daughter, Ellie. Nya is a crazy Latina woman who loves with her whole being but she’s stubborn and hard headed, too. With plenty of fun family times, great, one liners, and awesome side characters we get to learn about real love and what it takes to make it work. Sometimes love is even better the second time around. I do recommend giving this book a read. It will warm your whole heart.
I loved this second chance love story. A fabulous fun to read rom-com book that had me laughing out loud.
The characters were so perfect for each other, even if they didn’t realise it the first time round! The banter between them was top notch. You are not going to be disappointed with this book!
Love, love, love this book! I devoured it! Hilarious and well written. Nia and Liam are everything! Talk about a swoon worthy hero!
5 Star Review Take Two by Heather M Orgeron
When I read the blurb for this book I was intrigued. Nya Perez and Liam Watts have a tangled and complicated relationship, he was her first love, the father of their daughter, Ellie and is now her ex husband.
This was one of those books that I didn’t want to put down and is a great example of romantic comedy at it’s finest. I spent a lot of time laughing so much my stomach hurt. There were oh so many snort out loud moments that my husband thought I was crazy and I ended up in tears; such was the hilarity found within these pages.
When Nya and Liam wake up in Vegas they find themselves married, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Not always , particularly since it is Ellie’s dream to be a family again.
Despite reservations they agree to give it 6 months. Neither of them can deny the crazy and intense chemistry that sizzles between them. Take Two is a story full of love, romance and humour. In fact Ellie nearly stole the spotlight at times although there were moments when my emotions got the better of me.
One click this little gem, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Take Two was a super swoony laugh out loud romance that I absolutely needed with all that is going on in the world right now. Nya and Liam are exes that find themselves back down the aisle for a second time after a drunken night of fun. Nya agreed to give it 6 months and Liam has his work cut out for him but he is determined! I loved Nya. She has a super sassy attitude and she really makes Liam work for her forgiveness. Liam is this super cocky guy who made some mistakes in the past but is doing everything he can to make up for them. I immediately fell for him. He loves Nya so much and adored that about him. Their chemistry was insane. The bedroom scenes were off the charts. u2063

I love Nya and Liam. Once again Heather M Orgeron has given us a hot love story mixed with a great deal of humor. Such a fun and easy read.
Sometimes it is better the second time around.
OH Liam Liam Liam. Your love is so strong. Your will is so strong.
Second chance romances generally aren’t my jam. I hate the wishy-washy of them. But this DID NOT HAVE THAT. This was a very strong love that Nya couldn’t fight nor did she really want to. THAT makes it a great read.
I felt Nya’s insecurities. I’ve dealt with them, the only difference is my Mr. isn’t as strong or alpha as Liam. I cried at his way of reassuring her that she is his everything. *swoon* My poor Mr always gets the wrong side of me when I read things that I wish he would do/say etc. OH well. Step up boi!
I’m not sure if I want a Hannah/Chance book. But I kinda do so that we see more Nya, Liam, Ellie.
