Who says you can’t marry the same mistake twice?
Certainly not Nya Perez…because that’s precisely what she’s done.
Liam Watts is the bane of her existence.
Her first love. Father of her child. And breaker of her heart.
Oh, he’s also her ex-husband. Well, he was, anyway…right up til this morning, when she woke up beside him in a Vegas hotel room, sheathed in satin and tulle with a sinking … and tulle with a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach.
If it were just between the two of them, an annulment would be the obvious solution. After all, they wouldn’t be the first to marry and divorce at the little white chapel in the span of twenty-four hours.
But their daughter’s greatest wish has just been granted, and if there’s one heart Nya wants to protect more than her own, it’s Ellie’s.
So, she promises to give it six months.
There’s no way she’ll be swayed by his thick southern drawl, those well-defined abs, or that annoyingly delectable scruff lining his cheeks.
Nope. She’s got it all under control. Six months of playing house, then everything can go back to the way it was before.
But first she’ll have to muddle through marriage with Liam—take two.

What a wonderful second chance story!
I really enjoyed it as it showed what a lot of couples can face in relationships!
I really liked the characters, there was fun banter and some great innuendo and some steamy moments to round the book up!
I laughed in parts and definitely thought the author wrote a great read! Liam and Nya’s book is definitely interesting and at times you can really understand how they both feel! I liked Nya and her attitude! She was after a partner that would be there for her. Who could blame her??
Can she trust Liam again? Or will she be disappointed?
I really loved their daughter Ellie, some of the stuff out of her mouth was brilliant!!
A great second chance romance with a side of humour!
“Might be the dead of winter, but it smells like summers eve”
I am kicking myself for waiting so long to dive into this gem. The banter, the sexy times and the little bit of drama make this a definite 5 star read for me.
I know from the start that Nya and Liam were definitely meant for each other and well if they didn’t work out I would happily slide right in there lol
The love he shares for his wife and daughter is so sweet that my teeth hurt.
I also suggest not drinking anything while reading this book unless you want to risk spitting it out all over your kindle.
Loved Liam and Nya! Gah–great chemistry. They really knew how to push each others buttons. And there were some seriously laugh out loud moments.
Take Two was a fun rom com second chance read with lot’s of banter between Nya and Liam! So many funny moments and steamy moments as well! Loved the other characters, awesome ending!
I loved this second chance love story. This is my first book by Heather that wasnt cowritten.
Nya and Liam are divorced and they co-parent their 10 year old daughter Ellie. Nya and Liam are drinking after their daughters birthday party where she told them she wishes they would be a real family, so Nya wanting to make Ellie happy suggests going to Vegas and getting married.
What happens after they wake up in Vegas married is a tale full of laughs, love, and swoon worthy moments.
Liam’s relationship with Ellie is so heartwarming. Every woman loves a man that is dedicated to his child, but there is just something special about a father/daughter relationship.
I loved everything about Liam’s character. He fought no matter what Nya threw at him.
Nya wasnt willing just to give in and be happy, she had to fight Liam every step of the way. There was moments she really frustrated me. I really just wanted to shake her at times.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a second chance that will make you laugh.
This was a really cute second chance romance with a couple overcoming the things that ruined them the first time. I loved seeing Liam trying. He kept trying even when Nya was cold to him. She wasn’t my favorite person in this book but at the same time I totally know where she was coming from. I wanted her to give him a break though. As the story progressed and then she was willing to try…. it’s like she spent the rest of the book waiting for the other shoe to drop, even when he was showing how he was 100% into trying to get back to the family he loved. One thing I couldn’t deny was the connection they had. It was magnetic and I felt it coming off the pages. The plot kept me hooked and I was able to read it in one sitting. I loved all that was Liam. As a man, as a father, as a husbands, as a person. He really was the shining light to this book.. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Take Two is definitely my favorite read from Heather. I laughed so hard at every turn. Liam and Nya are such an amazing couple. Liam is so sexy and sweet & Nya, she really gives him a run for his money. Their girl Ellie is smart as a tack and such a great addition to this story. My favorite part was “Peter, Peter” – You’ll have to read it to find out what I mean. Heather really outdid herself on this book. One of my top reads for 2020. And that epilogue!! Wow is all I can say. You can’t go wrong with picking this book up!!
Heather M. Orgeron can write banter for days. The beauty of it is that it is not over the top, but something you know you dish out to your own spouse on a daily basis, well maybe in my house any way.
I love the flow to her words. The pages zip by as you fall in love with her characters falling in love even if they think they are a mistake. Nya is a firecracker and Liam plays off of her feisty personality perfectly with his humongous….heart.
The only mistake you can make is not reading a Heather M. Orgeron book.
This was a lovely second-chance Romance. It was well written with minimal angst which you can read easily as you will be enthralled the whole way through.
Liam and Nya were happily married until Liam screwed up and Nya walked away. Over the last 10 years they have worked well to develop their friendship and co-parenting skills. After a drunken night celebrating their daughters birthday Nya wakes up in a wedding dress in Vegas having married her ex husband again. This time he is going to make up for his mistakes and fight for his family.
I do love a good second chance romance and this was a sweet one. I probably didn’t give it 5 stars as I like a bit of angst and this one didn’t really have any but it was a good feel good romance.
Every time I read a book by Heather, I end up laughing so hard!! Take Two did just that! I laughed, giggeled, and swooned!! I definitely needed it! Fantastic comedy that will leave you in stitches and a huge smile!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was the perfect combination of fun and romance to keep me smiling throughout the whole book. Nya and Liam end up married again and Nya is not sure how she feels about it. Liam continually shows his love to both Nya and their daughter, Ellie. I absolutely loved Liam’s relationship with Ellie and how he dealt with situations. I recommended this one to all my friends!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
This 4 star story was a second chance romantic comedy with a twist. It was lighthearted and funny.
Liam and Nya couldn’t make their marriage work the first time around but for their daughter they will give it another try. Nya is afraid to trust again so she’s not into it all that much. Liam wants 6 months.
It was a slow burn second chance that was lighthearted with a promise of an HEA. I liked Liam’s characters but didn’t relate all that much with Nya. But they make it work for the sake of the storyline.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommend this story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, this is my first book written by this author on her own. I’ve read one she collaborated on but the two books are worlds apart. This one is brilliant and so funny. I found myself crying laughing at so many parts in this book. The banter between the two leading characters is just brilliant.
This book is the ultimate second chance romance and Liam is a man that even after being apart for 10 years, he never gave up. And if she was truly honest with herself Nye was exactly the same. With the help from a wish from their little girl they both got that second chance. It’s not all plain sailing and the hysterical scenario that occur throughout this book are totally brilliant.
This book is a huge recommendation for me. One that I will brighten your day and leave you feeling in a totally great mood.

This book made me laugh out loud and I just couldn’t stop chuckling! This author has a fantastic ability to make me dislike a character at the beginning but then fall completely head over heals by the end of the book! Fun, sweet, full of laughter and emotion, this is a book you won’t want to miss!
Liam and Nya have a complicated relationship. He’s the first man she fell in love with, the first man to break her heart, the father of her child and the person she now has to co parent with. It’s been a long road for them to get to where they are now and to figure out what works for them and their daughter. Liam’s known for years that he messed up big time and that he’s mostly to blame for their divorce but he’s never stopped loving Nya and when their daughters birthday wish could give him the things he wants most, he’s determined to take his second chance and do everything he can to win Nya over.
Nya is strong willed and feisty, she’s been devastated by Liam Watts once before and she’s not quite as enthusiastic as he is when she wakes to find out she’s married to the one guy that has the power to destroy the walls she’s spent years building. She’s got the best of intentions when it comes to keeping her distance from Liam but she’s not taken into account that Liam’s playing for keeps. He’s a hard man to stay away from. I could definitely see his appeal. Besides his hot and sexy appearance, it’s the way he is with his daughter that had me swooning. I love man who’s a hands on dad and that doesn’t shy away from his parenting duties. I was definitely on Liam’s side, hoping and praying he was going to win Nya over and that they’d get their hea.
I really liked Nya but sometimes I just needed her to forget the past, just for a little bit and really give it a chance. The foundation is already there for a great relationship but sometimes opening ourselves up is easier said than done so while Nya did frustrate me at times, I also understood why she wasn’t quite ready to dive head first into this thing with Liam.
Take Two is a fun, light hearted second chance romance that had me laughing out loud and one I’d definitely recommend.
