I love the quick happily ever after reads! This book is sweet and hot! Holly had been through a lot in her last relationship, and wasn’t sure about Finn. Their relationship flourished and both found happiness! Anything by A.K. Evans is a must read!
Both Finn and Holly are single. Neither are looking for a relationship. Both were incredibly burned by their prior relationships.
A glance across a festival has them both interested. A chance encounter where Finn happens to be at the right place at the right time has them meeting. A meddling grandma gives them a little more time together. And, after fate tosses yet another random encounter at them, they decide to give things a try.
But, both want to take things slow. Holly is terrified to give her her heart away again. Finn is afraid to give away his trust. Do they have too much baggage to stand a chance? What happens when they are put to the ultimate test?
Take the Plunge was a fun summer romance with characters learning to love and trust again. I did want a bit more from these characters, however. With both characters so cautious, I feel like a bit of their spark was missing. It was definitely a slower burn, although there were some incredibly steamy moments as well which made for a nice balance. 4 stars.
Both Holly and Finn have been burned in the past. Their exes have made them both skeptical about starting anything new. The attraction in undeniable though. After weeks of them both thinking non stop about each other they think it is worth it to take the risk and see what this could become
A.K. Evans always throws some major excitement into her books and Take The Plunge gave me exactly what I was looking for. I loved Holly and Finn and know you will too!
Wow, another amazing book in this series. I couldn’t put it down once i started. This story is about two people who take the plunge in the end.
I loved Finn and Holly together, they may of met in weird circumstances. But they took their time and took the plunge together.
I’m loving this road trip series. With each couple being new and different it keeps it fresh and interesting. Finn and Holly both come into this relationship with so much baggage it’s a wonder they can stand straight! Their connection whilst instantaneous is not plain sailing. They both don’t realise how they’re connected until events force them to really talk. What follows is a tumultuous dive into unfamiliar water for the both of them. The past comes back to haunt them both and it takes some serious souls searching to find their way through. Not to mention some drama, intrigue and suspense to add to the mix. Great writing and depth to this story. I couldn’t put it down once I started.
This was a great story! I love how the characters are so real. They both have definite trust issues. And it was fun to read how they were able to overcome their obstacles. Finn and Holly were the couple I would strive to be. I love this whole series. It is fun and keeps you on your toes!
Take The Plunge is a heartwarming, and sweet story with a dash of heat and angst to balance it out very nicely. Picturesque and descriptive, I enjoyed every moment of being along for the ride with Holly and Finn.
I’m really enjoying the vibe of this entire series. Sure, the books are truly standalones, but the characters are all very realistic. Holly and Finn are just two more examples of that. They’ve both been badly burned in the past, they’re both afraid of risking again, and they have so much more in common than they imagined. So when their chance meeting becomes a chance saving and progresses to become something great, of course fears will surface. The only problem is that one of them lets those fears bubble and boil over into saying some truly regretful things. I won’t say who or how, but some very uncomfortable self-examination is required by both Holly and Finn at some point in their story. And the way they move through the awkward moments to happy make this story so much more than I was expecting, and I’ve come to expect a lot from this author. So, yeah, it was a great read. And now I can’t wait for whatever comes our way next.
