Love the Malone Brothers! Loved every moment of this suspenseful read.
On the run, Moriah thinks she is safe staying at a beach house far away from the man who murdered her family. That is until KC, who is on leave from the military, shows up at his family’s beach house for a month long leave. What starts out with hatred and apprehension ends up as desire and love. But will her past come back to haunt her and lead her to run again? Or will KC and his brothers catch the bad guy and allow her to regain her life? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat this is another perfectly written book. Once again Samantha A. Cole does not disappoint.
3.5 bumped to 4 because I love the beach! This is the first book in the Malone Brothers series by Ms Cole. If the rest of the series continues in this vein it will be interesting. Take the Money and Run is a quick read, some parts of it too quick to be believable in the real world, but this is a book world so it works. There’s plenty of suspense, but the cause is taken care of without any problems. Each and every mission goes off without a hitch. It’s still entertaining and fun to read but if you’re looking for something deep and intriguing where you can’t figure out the mystery, keep looking.
Had the honor of meeting Samantha @sass 18. Had no idea who she is, what she wrote, her style, genre within romance but she was kind enough to speak with me. I need to tell everyone to take chances on new authors, read their work, I’ve been blessed with finding so many great, good, and magnificent storytellers by taking a chance. Samantha Cole is a great find, the writing is impressive the details so accurate, you know she has done her due diligence. Really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to everyone who likes a little mystery and mayhem with their romance.
I’ve read Samantha’s Trident Security series and loved them. This is a new series and one that I really like so far. KC is helping Moriah who is one the run from some pretty bad guys. Loved the heat between these two and can’t wait to read more with his brothers.
Take the Money & Run introduces us to the strong, sexy Alpha Malone brothers. What happens when an exhausted Navy seal coming home for leave encounters a sexy woman waiving a pistol around in his uncle’s house?? Total chaos! KC Malone just needs a break. After traveling for hours, he goes to his uncle’s beach house to decompress. It should be empty since his uncle doesn’t live there anymore, right? Wrong! KC finds out his uncle has taken a stray under his arm & has rented her the cabin. Moriah is on the run after her family is murdered by drug dealers who are now after her. She isn’t ready to trust anyone & isn’t prepared for her reaction to KC.
From the opening scene, Samantha draws you into the story & keeps you enthralled with the twists & turns in the plot. Her characters draw you into their lives & endear themselves to you. The chemistry between KC & Moriah is intense but you are aware of the trust issues in the way the story progresses. Even though you know who is after her, the suspense builds as you try to figure out when & where they’ll attack. Will she stand & survive? Or will she run, leaving KC behind? Great book & can’t wait to read more of this series!

Very enjoyable romance with some suspense twist.
She saw her family murdered and she is on run with duffel bag full of money. The money doesn’t belong to her but this is the reason somebody wants her dead.
He is just on vacation from last mission and at 35 he is getting tired. Tired what he saw and what he had to do.
Faith put them on the same path. Will he believe her or not? Will he save her from Mob ?
Read this good book and enjoy, it will bring smiles and few chuckles.

I throughly enjoy reading this book from the get go there is chemistry between the characters that are relatable and engaging which kept me interested from beginning to the end.
The first book in the ‘Malone Brothers’ series and it started out the gate on an exciting high and kept it through out the entire book. It is well written, action-packed, suspenseful, funny, and witty. The main characters are likeable and really great together; and the supporting characters, an adorable dog Jinx add more excitement to this book. This is a fast pace read and you will not put it down until the end (which ended beautifully btw).

This is the first book in the series about three brothers who were raised by their uncle after loosing their parents. KC Malone is a Navy Seal hoping for some R&R at the beach house he was raised in. He’s met by a gun wielding Moriah Jansen at the door. Moriah is on the run from some really bad guys. Both of them are now in danger.
This is a fantastic read! It’s got an original plot and some wonderful characters, including a dog! The story moves along at a great pace and the dialogue between the characters is believable. There is lots of suspense, drama, deceit and not to forget romance. This is a new author to me but one that has certainly grabbed my attention. Moriah tried to do the best she could when her father left her mother along with her and her sister behind.
Naturally, he paid not spousal or child support. Moriah did what she could to help out around the house and got a part time job.
Her sister went wild instead, and wound up pregnant.
But that beautiful baby became the center of their world, and her sister got clean, worked part time, and built a life… until her drug use and connections with the wrong man brought it all crashing down again.
But this time, so much worse happened, and Moriah came home to find her family gone. Horribly dead, with the knowledge from a friend of her sister that the dealer the sister was involved with had one or more dirty cops involved in his operation.
Moriah faces a flight and a fight for her life.
The twists and turns she takes bring her to Dan, who offers a low rent price on his summer cottage.
Of course, Dan has a surprise in store – his Navy SEAL nephew is headed to the cottage for a month of leave, and some surprise match-making.
Tuns out, the Malone brothers with their military and law enforcement training and connections are a force to be reconned with.
Moriah has a chance at family, love and a new future – if she turns her heart and her new family.
Steamy and sweet story with bloody and intense edged police and military action.

This is the first book in the Malone Brothers series and also the first book for this author. This book will set you off running. I liked the story of KC and Moriah. KC has gotten leave from the Navy for some rest and relaxation so he heads to his uncle’s cabin to accomplish that. Moriah is running for her life and decides to hide out in KC’s uncle’s cabin. Technically, Moriah is the one trespassing but when she is holding the gun she is the one with the control, at least for now. This is an entertaining story of two unlikely folks crossing paths, attempting to occupy the same living quarters and how they rely on one another to leave Moriah’s past where it should be, in the past.

Samantha A. Cole is a wonderful romance writer and this book does not disappoint. This book is filled with romance, suspense and hot loving. An enjoyable read with a few twists. You can’t help but love both KC and Moriah. Two people finding something special with the help of a meddling uncle.

Once again I am in love with one of Samantha Cole’s books. This was yet another facet of her writing talent, and it was spot on. The Malone brothers have a match making uncle and there was no way KC was going to be able to resist the strong, corageous, and lovely Moriah. Once he w what she e was running from, he called in his brothers and team brothers, doing it whatever was necessary to keep her safe. Action-packed, emotional, and hot! This is a must add to your TBR !

What a great start to a series. There were so many great characters – Moriah, KC, Uncle Dan, Brian, and Sean. The story drew me in from the start and I didn’t want to put the book down until I got to the end. Loved the first meeting of Moriah and KC, and how the storyline unfolded – from the suspense of why Moriah was on the run to strong Alpha males and the secondary characters. Definitely looking forward to more of Dan’s matchmaking and getting to know more of the other two Malone brothers.
Take the Money and Run is the first book in the Malone Brothers Series. The story is full of action, suspenseful, fun and romance. I thought the story was well written and the chsracters were likeable. Alpha KC is on leave and looking forward to some R&R, but when he walks into the beach house he finds an unexpected surprise. Moriah is on the run trying to stay one step ahead of the mob. Add in KC’s uncle Dan and brothers to the mix, at times they added the comic relief. They were great supporting characters. Oh I almost forgot the dog Jinx. This was a entertaining story, and I’m looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
This was a very good start to the series. I can’t wait to read the rest. Samantha is quickly becoming a one-click author for me.
TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN is the first book in the Malone Brothers series. Though each will stand on their own, as always it is better to read them all and in the order of release.
There are so many things to love about this story that I’m just going to make a list:
1. Uncle Dan Malone – nosy, matchmaker, dog lover, romantic, Army veteran
2. The Malone Brothers – all three are sexy, yummy, protective, and alpha
a. KC (Kevin Christopher) – oldest (35) – Navy SEAL (Team Six)
b. Brian – one year younger (34) – North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations officer, Air Force veteran
c. Sean – three years younger (32) – FBI officer in Tampa, FL, Army veteran
3. Maura (Moriah) Jensen – (27) – on the run, scared, smart
4. Romance – there is no slow build. It starts with a gun in the face and explodes from there. There is no denying the chemistry between KC and Maura.
5. Suspense – heart stopping, edge-of-your-seat, and perfectly executed
6. Jinx – loveable mutt
It’s no secret that I love Samantha Cole’s books. I only wish I had them all. I am looking forward to reading when KC’s brothers find their HEA and their uncle deserves a second HEA in his life. Heck, I even want Jinx to find a girl! I love happiness and Samantha Cole can deliver!
