TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s … or get into one’s possession, power or control.
Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.
Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.
He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.
Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.
Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.
At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.
He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.
Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

Let’s talk about it all!!!!
Holy hotness! Hot flashes and windows fogging up! I did not learn my lesson from book one because I still insist on listening to this audio perfection in my car. Scandalized colleagues and all are not going to stop my obsession with Logan and Tate! I’m not sure anything can!
Logan and Tate are battling their emotions, their fears, and their pasts in this gripping novel. I lost sleep, sense of peace, and my finger nails trying to hold out hope they would get their shit together! I refuse to ease the tension and give you answers, just know you need book 3 cues up and ready to go! I know this because I was forced to pull over on the side of the highway to type this. Yes, I’m that needy. I needed to get this out while it was fresh in my mind and before I embarked on the mic drop that ended Take.
I think its impossible not to feel like a third in thos relationship. Though sharing isn’t an option, I feel like Logan and Tate are mine. So I will let you borrow them but just know they are going he with me!
P.S. Anger and skin crawling moments are unavoidable however they are not caused by my men. Just remember your rage will help you through!
I am more in love with these characters than before. This couple is everything. I don’t use that word lightly. A story and couple have to make me feel everything and Logan and Tate do this. This couple is the example for any couple.
“You make me crazy and furious and out of my mind with need, but in the end, you make me so fucking happy. I can´t ever remember feeling this way. And no one is going to tell me it´s wrong. NO ONE.”
I simply LOVE Logan and Tate´s story.
Every time and again I need and love to revisit their epic lovestory!
In book 2 of the “Temptation” series Logan and Tate have to deal with some uncomfortable truths. Meeting with Tate´s family ends in the expected disaster, that Tate feared right from the beginning and Logan´s one and only past relationship comes knocking at their door.
Now´s the time to stand up for each other, to show if they have enough trust and love for each other and their growing relationship for opening up with all their secrets and desires.
“How he´d gotten so damn lucky, he had no idea, but if it took slicing open his wounds to keep Tate, then he was willing to rip them open and bleed all over himself.”
5 “one heartbeat-two heartbeats-I missed you” stars !!!
DEVOURED THIS BOOK!!!!
“How he’d gotten so damn lucky, he had no idea, but if it took slicing open his wound to keep Tate, then he was willing to rip them open and bleed all over himself.”
Honestly, I never expect a sequel to be as good as the first but sometimes I am shocked so color me shocked. Ella Frank made me fall in love with Tate and Logan all over again with just as much steam, passion and fire as book one but with a touch more of love….
Book one was all about Logan catching Tate, Tate exploring his sexuality and them just trying to be together through their emotions and their insecurities. Book two on the other hand is so much MORE! More of Tate exploring who his, more of Logan overcoming his past and even more heat. We see this couple growing and falling love in the most delicious way possible.
I couldn’t get enough of their story and right when I was on the edge of my seat to enjoy Logan being all protective over Tate the book just ENDED!! Yes, I am going to call it a cliffhanger because WHAT??? There is no way I am going to be able to go onto another book until I find out what happens. Frank knows how to suck you in to the point of you holding your breath and being on the edge of your seat just to drop you like a hot potato in June.
5+***
Wow!!
With tears streaming down my cheeks and and smile on my face, I’m sad this series is finished.
The imperfectly perfect romantic love story. I couldn’t get enough of Tate and Logan. Both strong men, who find the perfect love in each other. This ride has it all. I laughed, cried, I was pissed, I was turned on and in the end I am envious.
Read this series, you will not be disappointed, I dare you!
5 glorious stars
I fell in lust with Tate & Logan in Try but after reading Take, I am IN LOVE!!!
Take begins immediately after the events at the end of Try. Tate has finally come to grips with the fact that he is ‘with’ Logan and now he needs to find a way to tell his very religious family. Logan has his ‘battles’ too, he deals with his fear of relationships. We learn what it’s like for Tate to cope with his family’s reaction to his news. Logan and Tate venture out as a couple and are invited to Game Night with Cole and Rachel’s friends/family. Logan tells Tate about his past with Chris and they both have to deal with Tate’s soon-to-be ex-wife, Diana.
The book DOES end with a bit of a cliffy but that just makes me love it even more!!
*****
POV … third person
stand alone or series… Book 2 of the Temptations Series ** recommend you read Try FIRST**
would I recommend it … YES
did it give me a book hangover… YES
would I read it again… YES
This series just keeps getting better and better. Logan and Tate will make you want more, they are completely combustible. Their relationship is an adventure I am glad I started, their weaknesses, insecurities and vulnerabilities make you love them that much more. The cockiness, boldness and sex appeal is over the top swoon worthy. They are the perfect match in all ways possible. I cannot wait to keep reading and find out where they end up and how they continue to grow together as a strong power couple.
I listened to the audile version of this story. I absolutely loved the narrators voice and I enjoyed this book more than I did the first. .Tate and Logan have their doubts and challenges but there’s no denying the love they have for each other in this story. The first story had me feeling as if was all about sex but this one was different. Their chemistry was undeniable and the sex scenes are steamy. I enjoyed their back and forth banter. I loved Logan’s family but when it comes to Tate’s, all of them are on my crap list, Diana included. The ending of this story has me dying to listen to the next book. I can’t wait to listen to what happens with that cliffhanger ending.
I wanted to kick my own ass for not reading TRY sooner but glad that I didn’t have to wait for TAKE very long. I only had to miss Logan and Tate for two weeks. TRY was more about getting them to do something new and TAKE is about finding out if they can move on in the relationship.
Something that Tate and Logan know for sure is that their chemistry is off the charts. They only have to give one look and the other is ready to go…it’s so hot. If that was the only thing you needed in a relationship to make it work, they would not have any issues. They know that they have to face reality and that means Tate’s Family and Logan’s past and they can not move on until those are dealt with.
Tate was raised with a family that went to church every Sunday and he knew they would just stand there with open arms and accept Logan. What actually happened what not what Tate expected and he needed to figure out what to do next. Was Logan worth it? Worth all the trouble, was Logan just a man that went after what he wanted or could he be everything to Tate? He really has to think about what to do next…his world was turned upside down the minute he meet Logan.
Logan is confident and usually gets what he wants without much of an effort but not when it comes to Tate Morrison. It’s the opposite and it scares the hell out him. He is not the jealous or insecure type but Tate brings it out in him. He is so confused about his feelings and what he needs to do before he can truly figure it out is to stop comparing Tate to someone from his past. He has to learn to trust Tate but that is hard when Tae is going through his own issues.
TAKE is about accepting who you are and standing up for yourself and your happiness. You can not live a miserable life to make other people happy. Can Tate get message before it’s too late? Will Logan past ruin his future? Can they move on to the next chapter or will they only have sexual chemistry?
I love this series! It’s sexy and heartbreaking with a twist of sweetness. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.
Quotes:
“I can’t wait to give your mouth a reason to be so fucking dirty.”
“I don’t ever want to intimate you. Not ever.”
“Well, Logan had to give the bitch credit. She was the first woman who’d made him thankful that he liked cock.”
I liked the sequel so much more than the first book. Tate and Logan’s relationship has moved to the next level, but not everyone is happy about it. Both men must learn how to navigate a new relationship, as well as the less-than-pleased reaction of Tate’s family. Like the first book, this book is full of hot, steamy sex scenes that are absolutely delicious. What makes this book so much better than the first book, is the strength of Tate’s and Logan’s relationship and how intense they are with each other. The added emotions and love that flowed through this book was wonderful.
Love Heals
Logan has had some serious problems with one particular man. Now he’s met Tate and all things look so much better. But will Tate’s family issues and Logan’s past spell doom to their new relationship? Or will love save them both?
A great story.
I binge read this entire Temptation series this week. Book 2 Take starts right where the first book ended and again I loved it. Tate is so much more self-assured in this story and I loved it. You will continue to love Logan with his sexy smart mouth ways. Again this story was more than just a romance.Their relationship was tested in this novel and I enjoyed seeing how their relationship evolved. There were so much feeling and emotions in this book.
Another great story and an amazing continuation to the series.
When I first started reading the first one. Try, I fell in love with Logan and Tate and with this one, I fell even more. I love this story and their romance so much. It really is a great read and so worth the read! You can’t but help to fall for these characters. But one thing I really hate in this world and what showed it in the story, is how people and yes family too can treat people like they don’t deserve to be happy and don’t have the right to love whoever they love. I really hate ignorant hatred people like that and it hurts even more when people like that are related. My point is that whether you are gay, straight or lesbienne, you should love the one you love, no matter what people say or think!
LOVED this series. Top 5 of all time
What can I say, I am in love with the story of Tate and Logan. This was a truly emotional read and I can’t wait to dive into the next in the series.
Logan and Tate stole my heart in Try. Now, I’m more in love and can’t imagine not having more of them. I’ve loved Logan’s confidence from the beginning but now we see a side of him that we aren’t used to. He’s caring and loving and ready to commit. Tate is ready to make sure we all know what he wants.
Events cause both Logan and Tate to think about the path that they are taking. All I can say is that they are both amazing and do exactly what they need to do.
There are several times that I thought “Oh shit” and “So fucking hot.” Trust me, this series is perfect for anyone but if you haven’t read a m/m series, I recommend this as your trail.
Take (Temptation Series Book 2) by Ella Frank
This is book two of Logan and Tate’s story.
Wow! This series is so amazing! The second book did not disappoint. Once you start reading this series you will want to devour the rest of the books in it.
I was hooked from the beginning to the end. Logan and Tate’s emotions literally jump off the pages. With Logan and Tate you experience fun, difficult, and extremely heated times. It’s amazing how the author makes the reader feel the love and passion between these two. Oh my! The passion was off the charts. This story covers so many different emotions. I fell in love with Logan and Tate from the beginning and their story will stay with me for a long time. I wish they were real people that you could go visit. The supporting characters were great too.
This story had some really great intimate scenes but is so much more than that. It is so hard to explain a story that just speaks to your heart. This is one of the best loves stories I have ever read. Logan and Tate are perfect for each other but their journey is not an easy one but there is no way you can’t see how much they truly feel for each other. This series is a must read.
This is a MM romance but to me it’s just about two people that are truly in love and care deeply for each other. FYI, contains mature content. I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
The lock that had kept his heart firmly shut away had finally found it’s key.
I don’t even know what I can say about this book that hasn’t been said before. All I can think about are the lyrics to Abba’s song Take A Chance on me…
If you change your mind, I’m the first in line
Honey I’m still free
Take a chance on me
If you need me, let me know, gonna be around
If you’ve got no place to go, if you’re feeling down
If you’re all alone when the pretty birds have flown
Honey I’m still free
Take a chance on me
Gonna do my very best and it ain’t no lie
If you put me to the test, if you let me try
Take is an emotional journey for Logan and Tate, and it was for me as well! Their relationship is put to the test in Take, as Tate deals with the hate coming from his family and Logan is left waiting and wondering.
I hate Tate’s family, hate them! I understand not everyone is going to be open and accepting, but it just breaks my heart when it is family that turns so ugly. I felt so horrible for Tate, and Logan as well, in this book. Tate is so loving and caring, he didn’t deserve the the way his family treated him.
And Logan, always so cocky and confident, but his vulnerability really came through more in this book.
I loved seeing these two grow, individually and as a couple, throughout this book. They took the time to talk and really open up to each other, more so than in Try. Their bond, even with the what’s been thrown at them, is becoming stronger and deeper. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them In Trust.
