All I wanted to do was love her.I couldn’t break her when she’d finally been put back together . . . when she was finally mine.I was a coward, a bigger a**hole than her ex-husband, a more selfish pr*ck than her brother. But London didn’t know that. She only saw me as the man who would give her the world, the man who owned her heart. And even though the confession burned the tip of my tongue and … confession burned the tip of my tongue and begged to be spit out and set free, I couldn’t do it.
Not yet . . . I needed to hold on to this lie for just a little while longer to keep her safe.

Take My Breath Away is the conclusion to this duet but the rollercoaster ride isn’t over until the very end. No avoiding the ups and downs in this ride. It gets topsy turvy and goes a bit backwards too.
Take My Breath Away is a friends to lovers, second chance romance. With a blast from the past and a whole lot of…whhaaaaaa? You are going to be busy. If you paid attention in book one you know exactly where this is going but it’s an interesting trip none the less.

Love and lies never go together. As Sam gives an incredible gift to London’s Mom, we get to go back and experience their relationship from Sam’s point of view. We learn that Sam is still hiding something from London that involves Hunter, her ex-husband. Given everything that London has endured, when this is finally revealed, will her love for Sam win? Or will she let this betrayal pull them apart. Memphis and Hunter, wow, these are a pair. Getting themselves into more trouble than I would have guessed but then to bring it right to their family’s door. And Hunter, well, he believes all his choices had good intentions but truly, his selfishness is all consuming. The complexity of this journey is beautifully portrayed as everyone involved has to face life’s hard choices. Sam and London’s story provided an amazing experience in finding your true love and learning that it’s ok to forgive. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Take My Breath Away (Every Breath Duet Book 2) by Faith Andrews is a contemporary romance with a touch of mystery and suspense. This book picks up where the previous one ended with Sam about to go into surgery to give a kidney to London’s mother, Ella.
London and Sam are in love, but both have worries weighing on their minds. Sam has a secret he’s been keeping and he fears that it could ruin his relationship. London is worried about the potential outcomes of both Sam’s surgery and Ella’s surgery. Then there’s the impending visit from her brother, Memphis, and ex-husband, Hunter, who are in some kind of trouble.
Pandemonium ensues upon Memphis and Hunter’s arrival as secrets are revealed and danger shows up at her front door. And that’s all I’m going to say. You’ll have to read to find out what happens.
There was action, mystery, suspense, drama, and some heart-warming moments as well. A great conclusion to book one. I really enjoyed it.

I loved this story. I adored Sam. I really understood his feelings, and that he was truthfully trying to keep London safe. I was shocked at the plot twist, and don’t want to give anything away so I won’t say more about that. I truly didn’t see it coming. I also adored Henry. He truly stepped up when they needed him. This book is truly a sweet, romantic, and suspenseful too!
