Parker Knight was going through the motions… and then he met her. Parker Knight lived and lost his dream. Now he works for his family’s business, wearing a suit and pretending to be happy. A weekend away to plan a corporate retreat turns into a revelation when he lays eyes on Emily Stevens, the sexy owner of a small inn that’s seen better days. One look at Emily and the run down bed and breakfast … run down bed and breakfast and suddenly Parker has a purpose. He turns his short stay into a longer one, intending to act on the intense chemistry and desire that runs hot between them. While there, he plans to give Emily and her father’s inn a much needed infusion of cash and manpower.
Coming off an emotionally abusive marriage, Emily has an immediate bias against suave, city guys … But despite the slick exterior, Emily discovers Parker is sweet, charming and eager to help. And when she caves to their incredible passion, she discovers he makes her feel just as good in bed as out. Yet no matter how hot they burn or how well they mesh, Parker’s time with her has an expiration date. And Emily has an ex who refuses to accept that their relationship is over.
Parker isn’t a man who gives up. Sweet, sexy Emily Stevens is his chance to reclaim his life. He wants to take care of this woman who makes him feel … everything. If only he could figure out how to merge his two lives, everything would be perfect. But when her ex makes his move, Parker realizes what’s important. He only hopes he isn’t too late.

Parker Knight lost a lot with one car crash and the memories has haunted him. So when he is sent to Colorado to find a place for the company to have their retreat the last thing he thought he would do is find someone he connects with. But Emily’s first impression of Parker is not favorable. Can the two find love while dealing with the baggage they need to overcome? Or will Parker go back to NY and back to his memories? I absolutely loved these characters. The give and take of the brothers as well as the heart warming connection between Parker and Emily make this a great addition to the series. cannot wait for Ethan’s story.
I read an advanced copy for an honest review.
Parker Knight is a former skier who is ridden with guilt for surviving a car accident in which his fiance died. He goes trhough the mothens at work, but feels empty.
Emily Stevens has sworn off of men. Her ex of a husband can’t take the hint that their marraige is over. She just wants to bke simple treats, at her father’s decaying B & B and get him to sell it and move to FL with her sister.
Parker winds up stranded in a backwoods town and needs to stay at the B& B the Emily’s father owns.
Of course sparks fly. Initially Parker and Emily clash, but when they finally get together, I’m surprised they did not burn the house down.
This story was hot!
This story was a rollercoasrer ride of emotions.
Luckily, this story had a HEA.
This was a quick read for me, because I was so engrossed in the story, but it has surprising depths and unexpected hits straight to the heart. I’m so over the billionaire trope, but there’s just something about these Knight brothers that sucks me into their world and they effortlessly find a place in my heart.
Parker heads to Colorado to scope out the location for their next corporate retreat but ends up at a rundown B&B when his car breaks down. In no time, Parker finds himself entangled in the lives of the proprietor, James, and his daughter, Emily. Through helping Emily and her father, Parker learns to let go of grief and pain and manages to find himself, and he and Emily both work through dealing with losses from their past on their road to forever. Engrossing, touching, insightful and steamy, Take Me Down has something to please any romantic heart and is a terrific addition to the series.
