Sexy, rugged Colton didn’t get to be a national champion by chance. He’s a man that takes risks and goes after what he wants. During the rodeo weekend, Colton makes it clear he wants Jenny. This is one of those books I can read several times and it never gets old. In fact i have read it now 4 times. One time when it was released, then before book 2 and 3 in the series came out as a refresher for my old mind and then just last night. Folks who know me in romanceland land know that I love Cowboys and I have a thing for Montana and Marietta in particular. This book is the beginning of the series and it just sets the tone. It just says something to me and hey it’s got cowboys. WIN WIN.
This book had me from the moment I started reading it until the very end. We have a beautiful bride who not only is being stood for all intents and purposes but also is losing her livelihood as well. Snooty Charles was not worthy.. as the saying goes. That jerk of a fiance, well if only I could backhand the man through the computer he would end up in New Zealand that is for sure. BUT enter Colt the cowboy…the long hidden crush. Sizzle, crackle, pop there is chemistry even as she stands there in her wedding dress. That is when you know this is a book that you can not put down.
I like the fact that we get to see these two grow back together in friendship and watch it develop into more. The author shows us their past and how it leads into their future. I invite you take a Chance on Love with this couple.
I loved this book I think there a few great life lessons in the book. The characters were awsome. I wish there was more to the book I felt it was a tad short and that the author could have gonna into a little more detail with certain areas. Over all great story I just wish I new what happens next.
Your true love may be in front of you and you may never know it. Life is about taking chances . Loved this story.
Well written..great characters..I start reading a lot of books but finish only a few..so that says a lot about this book that it made it onto my finish list
A right and wrong side of the track style story as well as how wrong the right side of the tracks can be. A fun story with a happy ending.
Cute short book. Loved how it developed and ended.
My kingdom for a good copy editor. There are so many copy errors it’s hard to read. The fact that there is absolutely no time from where she’s jilted til the HEA is hard to stomach. They don’t love each other because they don’t know each other. There’s no deep conversations or sharing of life’s details because the characters are as deep as a mud hole. She molds herself into the perfect other person. He is deliberately hurtful. Does this seem like a good idea to you?
looking forward to reading more books by Jane Porter
A superb read. Short novella with a captivating story and a pleasing, albeit quick, ending. Strong but caring male and female leads both coming home at the same time, both in pain from past relationships and he is her first and only crush… meant to be perhaps?
Easy read…no surprises. She gets left at the altar in her hometown. She meets the man who she loved as a teen and he rescues her. Easy fast read
Beautiful
Jenny comes home for her big wedding. She left Marietta to make something of herself. But her future falls apart when her rich husband to be thinks she’s a hold digger on the day of the wedding. The man who takes her home is her old crush Colton. He rescued her more than once.
Beautifully done. I really cared about Jenny’s past and her struggles to find her way out of poverty. Loved the way she and Colton met at the beginning, and I loved to watch their relationship grow. Jane Porter, you’re a new favorite.
I loved this story by Jane Porter. “Take Me, Cowboy” is the fourth book in The Copper Mountain Rodeo Series. It is the story of Jenny & Colton. Jenny was jilted at her wedding by her fiance just moments before the ceremony was supposed to begin. Colton was driving his pick-up truck down the streets of Marietta, Montana and saw a princess bride standing on the street corner. He offers to help her, but she says no, and goes on her way. Later, he comes to her aid when her ex-fiance, Charles, shows up drunk. It doesn’t take long for the feelings Jenny had for Colton when they were younger to appear again. He doesn’t want to hurt her, but there is a chemistry between them he can’t deny.
Colton is divorced, Jenny was left at the altar. Do they find happiness and love?
This book was really cute. Loved it for sure. Started out a little tragic, but ended with a nice happily ever after. A bit predictable, but still a good read, and so are the other books in the series.
Enjoyable book!
I liked this book. Easy to get into and read. I liked the main characters and the bit of stories on the other characters. Very sweet.
This book was too short and not enough heat. She gets dumped, she runs into her lost lust, they have sex, and it’s done!
Good read when you are looking for a happy ending romance!
