Forget the whole billionaire tycoon thing: Kate Moore is a billionaire’s daughter, and she knows first-hand that they’re not all romance novel worthy. Her father is brilliant, inflexible, and brutal – and nothing she’s ever done has been good enough for him. Her one chance to take over the massive Moore’s Hotel Corporation is restoring the run-down Burnham Beeches in beautiful Sassafras to its … former glory. To that end, she hires David Wright, a talented landscaper with an unparalleled eye for beauty and an unparalleled talent for distracting her from her goal.
David really needs this job. He needs the contract, the Moore’s name on his portfolio, and the money to pay for his ailing father’s health. Everything he’s worked for is now within his grasp, and he’s going to reach for it with both hands. What he doesn’t need is the diversion, or the temptation, presented by his new boss.
Neither David nor Kate are free to follow their own desires, but they’re powerless to fight their growing attraction. But they come from very different places; perceptions will have to crash, misconceptions will have to collapse, and they will have to face their own personal challenges before they find their space to meet in the middle.

This is a bit of a different take as in this book it is Kate the female character who is the one who comes from money Her father is the chairman of the Moore’s Hotel Corporation and it is only by doing up the neglected Burnham Beeches to its former glory that she will prove that she is ready to run the company after him. She employs David Wright a skilled landscaper to make the gardens a thing of beauty and the attraction between them is instant but neither can afford the distraction of a romance he needs this job on his resume and he needs the money for his fathers medical bills but will they be able to deny what is happening between them This is a wonderful sweet love story that I enjoyed immensely

Filled with such bittersweet characters and detailed in a wonderful story plot, this had me so captivated that a character with such strength as David would be so willing to keep fighting for what he loves regardless of how much he endures. Refusing to give up on Kate, he helps her to see that there are more to her self and well-being than what she believes she deserves and has been exposed to. Kate finding her sister in the end was the icing on the proverbial cake because the author holds depth to that ambience that love for a sister is stronger than anything regardless of blood, and she has that in abundance with both Olivia and Chloe. Truly worthy!

Hot, sexy and packed with with the unexpected…
Nothing like a hot, sexy book that pulls you in and takes your breath away. I couldn’t put it down, I was so comfortable letting my mind wonder over what would happen next between the characters, even having a laugh here and there. While reading to relax, this book just pulls you in and makes you feel as if you’re a part of it, watching it all before your eyes.

I loved David and Kate’s story. Kate’s dominating father was one hard man to satisfy and when she was given the task of renovating a hotel to bring it back to it’s glory she jumped at the chance. David needs the job as the landscaper for his portfolio because he knows it would give him leverage to further his career plus it will help out with is ailing father’s medical bills. So much is riding on this project and neither have time for their hearts to become involved but the two are drawn to each other. Will they be able to pull off the renovation and will she finally satisfy her father’s wishes or will it all go up in smoke?
