Take Me Again is book 1 in the new Knight Brothers series by Carly Phillips and a great start to the series…young love, holding a grudge, playboy extraordinaire, believing love doesn’t exist are all rolled into this story!

You’ll fall in love with Sebastian Knight!
This is a new series featuring the Knight family. This story is about Sebastian Knight and Ashley Easton who met when they were teenagers and their parents got married. They had formed a strong connection to one another and felt very comfortable with one another. One night things went a little far and the next thing Ashley knew, she was sent off to boarding school. Since then she’s kept her heart locked up tight. Fast forward 8 years and she is back in New York to help out Sebastian’s brother Ethan who she has remained close with. Once Sebastian gets one look at Ashley again, he finally realizes what he has been missing in his life and vows to fight for her again. The chemistry between these two was HOT and I loved the way that Ashley helped Sebastian become a better man in work and his personal life. This is a well written story and one you don’t want to miss out on.
Sebastian Knight has spent most of his life as a playboy. He’s easily likeable and usually can get whatever he wants. At 26 years old he thinks his life is perfect….until she returns….Ashley Easton….the girl he wanted when he was 18….technically she was his step sister at the time but so what. When they got caught together, Sebastian’s father sent Ashley away to a boarding school and he hasn’t seen her in 8 years.
After a night of drinking and hooking up with a stranger, Sebastian missed phone calls from his family. Ends up his brother Ethan’s wife committed suicide. As the family is bonding together over their grief, who shows up but Ashley, all the way from London. Turns out she has kept in touch with Ethan all these years. Sebastian’s irritated that she kept in touch with Ethan but not him. He thought they had something special. It also irritates him that he is even more attracted to her now than he was when he was 18!
Ashley knew she had to be back by Ethan’s side. After all the times he helped her she needed to help him even though she knew she would be seeing Sebastian. 8 years later and a whole continent apart didn’t stop the feelings she still has for him. As these two spend more time together, they get to a better understanding of each other and realize how strong their feelings are. Sebastian decides he wants a second chance and will do anything to get it. When a great opportunity opens up, Sebastian jumps at it to put his plan in motion to win Ashley back.
I just adored these two. Both of them never let go of the other and just kept going on with their lives never really fully happy. It took a huge tragedy for these two to finally get back together but it was so worth the wait and both finally got what they had always wanted. Great start to the new series.
Carly has a wonderful way of bringing her characters to life! This book is no exception. The immediate chemistry between the hero and heroine is smoking and stays that way through the entire book. I am also very excited to see how the eldest brother handles his life going forward.
Awesome start to a new series from Ms. Phillips!!! The Knight Brothers and their sister is building to be along the same lines as the Dare family!!! And we all remember how very loved the Dare’s were!!!!!
This is Sebastian’s story. He is the billionaire playboy who has always had the women. His life seemed charmed, with one exception….the one who got away when he was too young and careless to know better.
Ashley is back for a family tragedy and she has her walls in place. Never again will she fall for lines or good looking playboys. But she isn’t prepared for the grown up Sebastian. He’s learned his lessons well and know what he lost….and he is not giving her a chance to get away.
Absolutely reminds me of some of Ms. Phillips earlier writing of the Dare family and quite nice to go back to those handsome, billionaire men and the strong women they attract.
This fantastic romance is first in The Knight Brothers series and it features Sebastian and Ashley. Their past, from when they were teenagers, is full of selfishness and thoughtless actions. It may have seemed trivial to some because they were so young but it changed her life forever. It was amazing to watch Sebastian realize who he’d become. His thoughts and emotions felt so real. This story is full of love, family, heartfelt apologies and some amazingly steamy moments between Sebastian and Ashley. That picture on Instagram made me angry on Ethan‘s behalf. It was quite the shocker! My heart broke for him.
These characters are people I’d like to have as friends. As always, this author writes a fantastic story with brilliant character growth. I can’t wait for the next book!
Amazing second chance love story
Sebastian has a lot to prove, to himself and to his family. And to the newly-returned Ashley. Ashley was the stepdaughter who was shipped off to boarding school when the sizzling hot chemistry between her and Sebastian became known to their parents. Blaming Sebastian for her exile, she wants nothing to do with him when she returns after a tragedy in the family.
Sebastian is still finding his footing in the family business, and he’s thrown even more off kilter by his undeniable yet long-ignored attraction to Ashley. He’s got a chance now not only to prove his value to the company but also to show Ashley that he’s the only man for her.
This author never fails to bring all the colors of the heart to her stories, and this one is especially vibrant and deep. Ashley and Sebastian balance their intense passion with a soul-deep examination of just what they each want individually, as well as together in a relationship. These are relatable, memorable characters who feel like long-lost friends. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
5 star
I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Ashley and Sebastian’s story. Sebastian has been able to get everything he wants in deals and woman all but one. Ashley turned to him in a time of need and it cost her everything. She has never been back until now. Ashley is back but it’s not for him. She needs to stay away from him. He broke her heart before she is not willing to risk it again. They don’t call him the closer for nothing. He is going to do everything he can to have the one woman he has never gotten over. Will they be able to overcome the past and build something or is this the goodbye closure they have always needed?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
Take Me Again had me swooning over Sebastian and all of his plays to win the girl. Okay ladies, so we start with the playboy of the Knights. Sebastian is rolling out of an unfamiliar bed when tragedy strikes. He has a self reflection of what he has been doing with his life and does not like what he sees. Then she walks in and tilts his world sideways.
Ashley is a powerhouse of a heroine. She is scared of certain aspects of life, but can be a lioness when needed to the Knights. There is a lot of chemistry still with her and Sebastian. They almost made my Kindle combust. There is a little bit of a chase. But every now and then, they get caught up on the moment.
What turns out as a tragedy goes in a whole new direction of betrayal. The Knight brothers will take care of business. I feel for each and everyone. I am madly in love with this series and cannot wait for more!
Sebastian and Ashley were step siblings back when the were teens. They were caught kissing, and their parents made the decision to send Ashley to London for boarding school. Parker, Sierra and Ethan are Sebastian’s other siblings. Ethans wife, Mandy died of an overdose so Ashley comes home. Their company is having issues with locks that were purchased from a subpar company. They find out Mandy was using drugs and buying marked up products to keep some of the money.
Sebastian and Ashley jump into sex pretty quicky in the book. The others find out about them and are fine with them dating.
They go to London, pack her things and head home. Next up is Parker’s story.

I love second chance romances and Take Me Again is no different! If you have ever read Carly’s Dare series and thought no one could top Ian Dare then you will be pleasantly surprised to find that Sebastian Knight does just that. Sebastian and Ashley last saw each other as teenagers when Ashley was sent to boarding school after being caught in a clinch with Sebastian. Fast forward to adulthood and Ashley has come back to the states to help Sebastian’s older brother through a difficult time in his life. The sparks between Ashley and Sebastian can be felt in every single moment they are together. Seeing Ashley struggle with the betrayal she felt as a teen and the desire as a woman is phenomenal. Add to this Sebastian trying to not only prove himself to Ashley but also to his family during a crisis and this makes it a must read!

Carly Phillips stole my breath right along with my heart with her latest book, Take Me Again! This romance is an epic, heart-melting and wonderfully sexy second chance romance with spectacular characters and a perfect as pie plot that had my heart eagerly thumping for more.
I really get into Miss Phillips stories BIG TIME. Yet, Take Me Again still managed to stun, shock and delight me to no end. It showered me in sparks, sass, sweetness and fantastic romance. It was breathtaking and sincere and so darn beautiful and I can’t wait to read it again! This was precisely what I have been craving and it was EVERYTHING I had hoped for and MORE!
Take Me Away gets a SPECTACULAR FIVE SEXY STARS!
TAKE ME AGAIN by Carly Phillips is the First book in The Knight Brothers Series. This is the story of Ashley Easton and Sebastian Knight.
Ashley’s father died at a early age which prompted her Mom to go looking for someone to take care of her and Ashley which finally lead her mom to the Knight family. The Knight family was a big family which Ashley thought she would finally have the family she wanted but she was sent away to boarding school and isolation from them after a incident with Sebastian. This broke Ashley’s trust in love and marriage and certainly in Sebastian. Now in the present day she is helping a friend which has put her in direct contact again with Sebastian. Working to keep the old feelings at bay about him she tries to act indifferent but when they have to work together to solve a problem…indifferent seems impossible.
Sebastian knows he has a second chance with Ashley and he isn’t going to mess this one up.
Enjoyed their story!
So good that I stayed up late to finish the book!
***4 Stars***
I’m always excited to dive into a Carly Phillips book, and this time was no different, especially since this is a first in a brand new series and though the beginning actually gave me a little pause, I pushed through and found it to be a sweet and smexy second chance story that had just the right amount of drama and filled a lot of heart.
Sebastian. This man. I tell you. I ended up really liking him, I did, but boy that first impression was not the best. It wasn’t that he was an alpha a-hole, at least not with the AF attached to it, but he did rub me the wrong way. Thankfully, he has a lightbulb moment early on and I loved watching the man he was always meant to be emerge. I really liked Ashley from the start. Intelligent, hard working and compassionate. The woman doesn’t mince words, but also knows how to lead with her heart as well as her head.
Ashley and Sebastian’s second chance romance was a surprisingly enjoyable little romp. I say surprisingly because of how the book started off and finding out what happened to cause the rift between them, I can’t deny that I expected a little more angst, but what I got instead were two adults actually acting like adults, figuring their own separate issues out while working at forging a new relationship with each other. There were of course ‘moments’ but they weren’t over the top in anyway and helped to move things between them forward. The smexy was hawt and I loved their bantering and how well they flowed together.
Even though things started off on an interesting foot, I ended up really liking Take Me Again. It was a quick and easy read and filled with characters I want to get to know better. I can’t say I have a favorite amongst the Knight siblings, because I only got bits and pieces of Parker, Sierra and Ethan, but I cannot wait to get my hands on all of their books and see how their own HEA’s will play out!

I enjoyed this first book in the Knight Brothers series. Second chance stories can be a hit and miss for me but this one was a hit. Even though both Ashley and Sebastian made mistakes when they were younger, it took awhile for them to realize that past actions can have a substantial effect on others for quite awhile. It took a tragedy to bring them back into each other’s lives. Can’t wait to read Parker’s story and then Ethan’s.
This is the first book in the series that focuses on the Knight family and it is a great start!! Sebastian is a self-absorbed, alpha male who is forced to re-examine his life when he learns his family doesn’t trust him enough to share information with him. If that wasn’t enough to kick him in the pants–the one girl/woman who he ever connected with but deeply hurt returns and really makes him see what he really wants in life. Ashley was hurt when Sebastian didn’t stand up for her when they were teenagers and closed off her heart when it was crushed by his betrayal. She returns to help the family deal with a loss and she is determined to not let Sebastian get close again. Let’s just say that Ashley doesn’t stand a chance once Sebastian determines she is what he not only wants but needs. It was nice to see the hurts heal and the passion ignite with these two. Great read.
Take Me Again in the fist book in The Knight Brothers series. It’s a stand alone contemporary romance with a second chance trope. For triggers, there is talk of drug and alcohol addiction. The Hero is a man-whore who all of a sudden changes his ways and I didn’t feel the connection to the heroine. I’m a huge fan of Carly Phillips but this one just didn’t check all the boxes…
Sebastian Knight is a playboy and is used to getting his way in everything, be it business or personal choice, one can say he is an entitled jerk. Until his sister in law passes away by an overdose, Sebastian realizes he’s not included on important stuff. At a low point Ashley returns to be there for his brother and that’s when he changes his ways…
Ashley returns from London all grown up and able to stand her ground. Sebastian still wants her and can’t stay away. He wants a second chance. Ashley is reluctant but when he is near he makes her toes curl.
Sebastian may be used to getting his way but he is going to have to fight hard, pull out all the stops to keep her from getting away a second time.
Very good book!
Forgettable, sorry.
