“Dark Feels. I’m bursting at the seams. Ahhhhhh! I love my anti-heroes, and Pam Godwin is insanely talented in redeeming even the most ruthless, brutal, sadistic characters. Tiago. I’m so in love.” ~ Di Covey, Goodreads ReviewerHe’s a notorious crime lord, a kidnapper, and an artist. Scarification is his outlet, and he just captured a new canvas. Kate refuses to surrender beneath his blade or the … to surrender beneath his blade or the cruelty in his beautiful eyes.
But she’s drawn to the man inside the monster. A man who makes her ache with his touch. Who owns her with his kiss.
A man who worships her as deeply as he hurts her.
She can run, but there’s no escape from a bond carved in scars.

Pam Godwin writes lush, sensual romance, and her new book looks so dark and dangerous! From the blurb… “Scarification is his outlet, and he just captured a new canvas.”
No one delivers dark romance like Pam Godwin. Impeccable writing. Seamless delivery. This series takes you to the edge of your comfort zone, shoves you off, and puts you back together.
This series is Pam Godwin at her darkest (IMO) and I love every word!!
Well I didn’t think Pam could shock me anymore than she already has but damn she did. Tiago is a sick and twisted person but he made he is way into my heart!! His back story broke my heart, do I forgive what he did in the past… no but it makes it easier. He is another Van just in a different way! Kate was perfect for him and I was happy to see that she did have a strong side. They were great together in their own sick, crazy, dark, loveable way!!!! Thank you again Pam for the arc, you’re amazing !!!
Take is the 5th book in the Deliver Series. You must read the other 4 before you get to this book.
I knew that Take was going to be great! After-all I had 4 previous 5 Star books to go by of my own.
If you love dark reads then the Deliver Series is a MUST read! Take is another book that kept me on the edge the whole time I was reading it.
Kate is taken/captured by Tiago Badell and all she was told was that something was taken away from him so that is why she was taken. Hence the name of the book “Take”.
Once, Kate is taken back her friends kept telling her she had Stockholm syndrome and even she had used that phrase on Tiago. But, she really knew that wasn’t the case. She just loved him and told them all that they were wrong.
So, I did say that this is a dark book and all that usually entails with a dark book is in this one. So, if you have any triggers proceed carefully.
I loved reading Take. I now can’t wait for Manipulate to come out. Pam Godwin said that it would be June. So not as a long of a wait as for this book.
Holy sh**. Pam Godwin writes dark, tortured anti-heroes SO damn well that I can’t help but fall for every single one. Tiago is by far her most twisted, most sensual, most gut-wrenching backstory character to date.
I hated him. I fell in love with him.
I hated Kate for owning him. I loved her for healing him.
This story will gobble you up with its rawness, and its characters will leave you breathless and aching for more.
Pam Delivers Again! Taking it further into the dark! This is the story of Kate, who is taken by Tiago in exchange for Lucia. After being with him for so long, she finally got away with the help of Tate. And Tiago has plans for them. Including Kate. But once he gets to know her,it all changes. She is the first to mean something to him after his family was killed years ago. But does Kate feel the same for him? With everything he’s done and still does to her and others? This was a real pageturner, one that marked my soul. And i loved it!
How this author makes me fall in love with bad guy I will never know. Tiago was a broken man, and the more you get to know him the more in love I fell. Kate truly was the one person for him. This read was dark and beautiful!
Take is the 5th book in this series. It’s dark, gritty, and not for everyone. But if you want a story where the character makes you just go omg why am I rooting for this evil man then this is is. She such a great story teller and I’ve been so captivated by this author. She is just amazing at story telling and this book does not disappoint. Just remember to read the other book because they all go together.
I suppose the easiest thing to do with all these thoughts swirling in my head is to start at the beginning. Once upon a time, Pam Godwin decided to kidnap people and make us fall for their captors. She made it a conflicting kind of love. And so here we are about to embark on book 5 of the Deliver series. I can honestly say I’m surprised and appalled we are here. I thought that 5 was going to be Cole’s story…But no. Pam, ever the sadist, is going to make us scratch and itch for it, make us plead and beg. Just before we throw in the towel she will dangle him in our faces. SIGH. It’s severely twisted that we, the readers, at this point have been trained to thank her for it!
Thank you Pam for a dark world and the twisted love that feeds it.
I need to say that the cover of this book is both provocative and deceptively tame. The wildfire and strength in her eyes isn’t noticed upon first glance but you are blind to miss it on the second.
Take is a special circle of hell. It’s everything you didn’t realize you wanted out of this book. When we finished Devestate, I foolishly looked for the end of Tiago. I didn’t want that man to be the next star in the dark world Pam created. I had no idea I needed him to be next.
Take is a new level of dark. It’s a new level of twisted. It is everything people tell you to avoid. But worst of all, it’s impossible to resist!
Take me. Love me. And spit me out. I will line up for more. I’m already anxiously awaiting Martin, Ricky, and HER.

Take is the fifth book in the amazing “Deliver” series. Now let me start this review, by saying that this book can and should not be read as a stand-alone. If you want to really enjoy this series, you should go back and start reading with Deliver #1, and slowly…or fast…work your way down to this awesome read. Trust me…you won’t be sorry.
This is definitely a dark romance series and each and every book has some major triggers… That also goes for this one. I am not gonna mention them all, but I did want to give you a little warning in case “dark” isn’t really your thing.
Those of you who have already started this series, already know Kate from the previous books. She has been through hell and back and now she is still struggling to move on. Too bad that hell doesn’t seem to be finished with her just yet and decides to screw with her once again…using Tiago Badell, to do so.
I really don’t want to say anything that could possibly spoiler this book. It should be read blindly I think… So I am gonna keep my review short and simple.
Tiago has definitely become one of my favorite anti-heroes, though he still has to take a little bit of a back seat to Van Quiso….then again…I don’t think anyone will ever be able to top him in my book !! That said… Tiago was all sorts of hot, dark…broody and disturbed. Just how I like my men 😛
Kate tries her very best to hate every part of his being…but it isn’t all that easy. Not everything is as black and white as she would like it to be. Could it be she is actually developing feelings for this monster…or is she suffering from a case of “Stockholm syndrome”.
This story really pushes against some boundaries, it definitely pushed some of mine…but I gobbled it all up, like the good little girl that I am
Kate really is my kind of heroine. She was so strong, but she also excepted her weaknesses…she was no push-over, but she knew not to push beyond the limits. I admired the fact, that even with everything she has been trough…she still had the ability to look further…to see beyond the outside.
“She saw a heart worthy enough to take”
A new, dark romance from Pam Godwin!
When Kate wakes up bound by rope and sequestered in a locked room, she knows she’s been abducted yet again, only this time, she knows the identity of her captor. Tiago Badell. He’s had her abducted from her job at a diner in retaliation for the rescue of another captive named Lucia.
Tiago is recovering from a barbell to the head and it takes a while for him to recover enough to meet with his new captive. When he does, he’s stunned by her beauty and her fire — mostly her fire and refusal to be submissive to him. He’s intrigued but her attempts to run has her in a very bad position, until she manages to let him know her secret which intrigues Tiago even further.
What transpires next is a heady mix of rape, sadism and Stockholm syndrome. This is definitely dark romance so be forewarned that this is no sweet love story. It’s dark and dirty and yet an interesting study in human nature. Tiago has the history and background to explain why he is the man he is, and that means something to Kate, who eventually sees Tiago as something more than a monster. She gets him like no other, and their relationship evolves over time into an interesting mix of sadism and love that had me mesmerized by its intensity.
There’s only one problem — Kate is not free. She is still a captive. When she’s stolen by a rival, there’s some seriously brutal action which I totally loved as part of the story. It’s a nasty world of crime out there where people are sometimes used as currency. Betrayal is part of the normal and Tiago has learned to deal with all of it. Can he give it all up for a real chance with Kate? That is the question.
I loved Kate. She’s fiery and stronger than she even gives herself credit for. Some of the situations she finds herself in are absolutely horrifying. She has strong feelings for Tiago which are in conflict with her being his captive. Pam Godwin does an amazing job of creating two characters who are so interesting and it’s hard not to love both of them, in spite of their actions and past. This is what I love about this entire series — it blurs the lines between right and wrong and good and evil in an way that is so very compelling.
I absolutely devoured this book. It made me want to go back and re-read the entire series again. And not just this series, but the Tangled Lies series as well. I love how Pam Godwin has connected these two series, and it was terrific to learn more about their connection in the later pages of the book. The ending was everything I want in a romance — a bit of sorrow, a good dollop of angst and a final resolution that had me smiling.
Loved everything about Take and this series.
It was amazing! Pam Godwin is the queen of dark! I loved this book!
If I had to describe Tiago Badell, it would be…quiet, sadistic, but deep down he just wanted to belong to someone. He did what he had to do, became what he needed to be, ruthless and feared, and then he survived. Closed off and hard-hearted until he captures Kate…his perfect match. What starts out as a means to an end soon has Tiago’s life turned upside down.
There are definitely some heart stopping moments to their story, but, he’s definitely not the bad guy his reputation was painted to be in Devastate…but I think that’s what the author was trying to convey in the character development. He didn’t start out to be a ruthless crime lord, he was American military, betrayed and he loved his wife to a fault. He did what he did as a result of that love and betrayal and then he stayed in the worst place in the world as his penance. Never connecting with another human again, to protect himself and honor his wife. Through all the muck, this is a love story, straight up. They are effed up, but whole together.
Kate’s story is a bit of a deviation from the Freedom Fighters story line, but no less harsh and heart wrenching. Fans of this series will devour Take.
“The strongest love rose out of the greatest hurt.”
Book 5 in the Deliver series follows Kate and Tiago. This is a standalone dark romance with a HEA, but should be read in order as these stories all interconnect.
“You might think all human skin cuts the same beneath the blade.”
“Cutting a woman, it’s different than cutting a man. The blade must be held with a passionate hand, and when feminine skin separates, it doesn’t just bleed. It weeps.”
I love looking into the mind of a villain, and just when you think you’ve read and envisioned some of the most gruesome things, you end up reading something else that puts it to shame. I don’t want to get into too much detail as to not spoil the book, but Tiago is a vile man that still needs loving. Love changes every man and this story only proves that.
I will always recommend a book and audiobook by PG. Soren Gray’s voice as Tiago made me weak in the knees and Kate Genevieve was the perfect match. Not just because she shares the same name as the lead female character, but the emotion was dead on every single time.

This is such an amazing dark and gritty series. Each and every book has been a roller coaster of emotions from the beginning to the very last page. They have shown time and again that even the darkest and most terrifying of men can find that one person who will shine light on them and cause them to change.
Kate is an extremely strong heroine. She survived bad parents, hateful brothers and the unthinkable ordeal as Van’s captive. Over the years, she’s grown a backbone and is determined not to let Tiago break her. She fights and doesn’t give up. As the months pass, she sees a softer side to Tiago only a few see, and learns why he became the man he is.
Over the years, Tiago has done unspeakable things and is a feared crime lord in every sense. When he kidnaps Kate, he does so planning to kill her. But something makes him hesitate and the more time he spends with the beautiful Kate, the more spellbound he becomes.
Make sure you read this series in order because each book plays off events that have happened in the prior books, and you wont understand everything happening or appreciate the characters if you don’t start at the beginning.
4.7 stars
it is official. This author is a wizzard. She made me feel for the devil incarnate, Tiago. After the last book, I didn’t think that was even possible. Yet, She cast a spell and let me see about this complex man. I shouldn’t be surprised considering that she was able to redeem Van but good lord this man was not a good man…or so I thought. Even in the moments when I wanted to truly hate him he still had a certain je ne sais quois charisma about him. His devotion to Boones and Arturo were also surprising but it added to his depth. Kate. That sweet girl. I liked that she never gave up and that in the end, she discovered a sense of peace that she had been long since missing.
I am getting more and more intrigued by Cole. I need to know more. I am hoping that he gets his own book. This series is definitely not for anyone that doesn’t have the stomach for the darker side. Yet, even though this story delves into the darker side of things that happen in real life, the author still manages to give hope and that is part of the draw for me. It is done with a sense of authenticity.
If you think the first 4 books were dark you are up for a ride on this one!! It will turn your emotions around, with disgust to sorrow to extreme pain mentally…
Take is another dark romance. Tiago kidnaps Kate one of the freedom fighters, to show Lucia and Tate, if they take what’s his he will take one of there’s… Kate is stuck with her captor, Tiago stuck with his victim while he heals..
In the midst something dangerous brews up amongst them…
I really loved how Pam wrote this story especially Tiagos emotions and thought, I felt abit of campassion from him regarding Tate, which made my hatred for him turn around. Also love the growth of Kate.
Anyone want to read a book full of raw, disgust, intense scenes and a great ending this it for you..
Another outstanding read from Pam Godwin!!!! I can’t get enough of the Deliver series!!!
Take is book #5 and the first 4 books in the series definitely need to be read first!!! Tiago was introduced in Devastate and was the villain we wanted to see burn. In this book you learn Kate’s back story and what made Tiago the villain that we learn to love. His back story is absolutely devastating and he more than redeems himself. It wouldn’t be the deliver series if we didn’t get a glimpse into old favorites!!! I was absolutely addicted to this story as soon as it hit my kindle and read it within a few hours!! I can’t wait to see what the next book as in store!
