“Dark Feels. I’m bursting at the seams. Ahhhhhh! I love my anti-heroes, and Pam Godwin is insanely talented in redeeming even the most ruthless, brutal, sadistic characters. Tiago. I’m so in love.” ~ Di Covey, Goodreads ReviewerHe’s a notorious crime lord, a kidnapper, and an artist. Scarification is his outlet, and he just captured a new canvas. Kate refuses to surrender beneath his blade or the … to surrender beneath his blade or the cruelty in his beautiful eyes.
But she’s drawn to the man inside the monster. A man who makes her ache with his touch. Who owns her with his kiss.
A man who worships her as deeply as he hurts her.
She can run, but there’s no escape from a bond carved in scars.

WOW! Pam blows me away with this series!! She never fails to take me places I never thought of going, but have to say I enjoy sharing it with her characters. Kate was one I looked very forward to. I wanted to get to know her more and find out what happened to her. Being taken again, how can a women survive this. I hated Tiago and loved him at the same time. Getting more familiar the belly of the kidnapping beast is difficult at times, but Pam makes it so worth your trip. Pam’s great writing and ability to help us see so deep into these people makes the journey one I wish would never end.
Wow. I honestly did not know what to expect with Thiago or how his story would play out. I mean we all know there is always a reason people are they way they are. It’s not an excuse, but it explains their behavior. I never saw Thiagos path coming. I never saw him as a handsome man that could suck the breathe out of you with one of his rare smiles. Kate and her backbone of steel just knocked down all his defenses. Took the Devil by the horns and said you will never be the same again. You never saw me coming and I will take you some where you never knew you could go. It was real and gritty and dark and disturbing and all the wonderful things that make up a Pam Godwin book. Truly a five star masterpiece that sets a precipice for all future stories and I hope they all live up to it. They have so far! Kate and Thiago are who we should all aspire to be, the deep love that connects them and the respect and devotion is stunning to see unfold. Well done Miss Godwin! You did it again!
Everytime I read Pam’s books, I always think wow this woman out do her self again and again.
And she is.
A fair warning:
1. Take is part of a series that although stand-alone, it must be read from the first book so you know the big full story.
2. Take have lots of trigger. Rape, violence, detail explicit sex scene, lots of very dark and disturbing act. If you don’t have the stomach, don’t tempt to read it.
With Take, Thiago Badel just over thrown Matias Restrepo as my book husband. Yep, he is that slave traficcker who kidnap and sell woman, number one crime lord in Venezuela, crazy SOB who like to carve his victims. This man stole my heart and would never let go.
And Kate. Survive from Mr. E slave ring, she find her self in Thiago captivity as a payment after Tate stole away Lucia from him. Hatred and fear collide. But something happen. She see something lurking beyond that evil eyes of him. Beyond his lust to see her blood.
“You’re the miracle that grows in the smallest crack of sunlight. The bloom that never gives up.”
I love Pam’s dark romance stories. The intensity of Take is mind blowing. Not one page missing of that intensity. Love the clean plot. It’s like Pam would never let room for her readers to second guess or turn back page to see if we miss something. Love every single dark pages cause then the light shine so bright at the end. Yes Thiago and Kate HEA is not your normal HEA, but then again even villains need love.
