This book is timely as we often hear people around us say, “I don’t have enough time.” The author, Morgan Tyree, gives not only the whys to have more time to live your life, but the hows. Many books have either the why to take back your time and what could happen if you don’t, but then leave you hanging with how to do that. Or others tell us to be more organized and give great advice, but leave out the information on what we are doing to ourselves if we don’t.
This book gives you both. Morgan gives you an action plan that has worked for her and in her business and she wants you to be able to have it at your fingertips to be able to have a productive, stress-less life. And who doesn’t want that?
I recommend this book for those who are overwhelmed with where to start in taking control over their time.

Take Back Your Time by Morgan Tyree is a great book if you need help using your time wisely with less stress and with more productivity.
I loved the fact that she gives you permission to get rid of those things that suck your productive time up and cause stress in the process. With those things gone you can get through your days, weeks and months knowing that what is left are those things that bring value to you and your family.
Having a plan outlined for your day helps with getting you and your family up and out of the house with as little stress as possible and then coming home in the evening to a meal that you’ve already started in the slow cooker so you can spend time with the one’s you love instead of worrying about what you are going to feed them. Love it!
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
If you’ve struggled to find balance and direction in your overloaded life, let Morgan’s system help you discover the freedom of less hustle and more harmony.
I have really been enjoying this book. I am reading through it slowly trying to do the challenges as I go along. I have been looking for a while for a better way to manage my time. I work from home and the biggest challenge for me is finding the time to work when it feels like my family always needs me. This book really got my attention, and I am finding it to be helpful. It certainly seems like the author has quite a bit of experience and has used the system and tips she recommends. I look forward to implementing some of her concepts.
She begins by telling a bit of her story. In each chapter she provides some charts and ideas that you can begin implementing also. She helps you identify what is important, what your priorities are, what is consuming your time, and then tells you how to handle it. She also encourages you to embrace your season, be accepting of where God has put you and make the most of it. Use the gifts and talents God has given you.
Not all systems work for all people, so who know if this is the system for me or for you. But one thing I do know, if we don’t try anything we will never make any progress or grow. So I would recommend this book if you are looking for ways to organize your time, have more time to do what’s important to you, and make the most of your life – living intentionally.

A delightful, must-read book. Take back your day, once and for all.
Stressing over getting everything done? Wondering how you can find more minutes and hours in a day? Well, all of us are given twenty-four hours each day but knowing how to manage these hours is the key and Morgan Tyree has written a book to help us get started. In her introduction she states that if we want to ‘maximize time and minimize stress, you are in the right place’ and she also mentions our seasons and our walks of life. Well, I am now a retired librarian but it seems like I am busier than ever, so, Take Back Your Time is definitely a book I need to read!
Morgan Tyree offers practical tips and suggestions that are easily understood and adaptable and she also shares some of her own experiences. It is clear that she has invested a lot of thought, time, and effort in the writing of this book and I believe that it will be a valuable resource to many people.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts in this review.
“Take Back Your Time” is a primer for those whose plates are filled to overflowing and are ready to delegate and prioritize. We can’t always take on every positive thing that comes our way, and there are already many things vying for our attention.
There are so many good tips in this book, with specific activities that help the reader cut through the extras and get to the point. We all want our lives to flow smoothly, and while we can’t control everything, we can control what we allow to be our priorities.
By separating out the most important items in our lives by assigning them what the author calls “time zones,” the reader is encouraged to fit what is most necessary into the hours we are each given every day. That may mean cutting out some things, tearing through clutter or exercising our right to say “no” to extra things that cause us stress. She also empowers the reader to set goals that can actually be met and make sure our values line up with the life we are actually living.
Tyree has a proven system that works here, and many would be wise to heed her advice. After all, she knows what she’s doing, this is her day job–helping others live more organized lives. She believes in this message and its power to change outlooks, reduce stress and encourage more lives ruled by content, not chaos.
I got to read an advanced reader copy, thanks to Revell. All opinions are my own and I chose to leave a review. This is a really helpful book!
Excellent!
I read slow and steady. Highlighted a ton and started some new habits. I will be rereading and hopefully be able to begin more new habits. It’s all about the baby steps for me. Time (the here and now type) is soooo important and I was being sucked into all the wasteful aspects. I’m hoping to teach my children this concept more by example.

This is an interesting and readable book about discovering how to best make your time work for you. I won’t go into all the details that the author has included to help us each discover our own personal productive “time zones” during the day, but it seems to make sense. I liked her use of personal illustrations as to how she’s succeeded and failed at organization In her own life. She emphasizes the importance of living a balanced life in all areas of our lives, including our health and the organization of the the “stuff” we all have accumulated in our homes. There are also sections about determining priorities and how those change in different stages of our lives. There’s good advice in every chapter that can easily be implemented, and that makes this book worth reading.
