He was the man of her dreams and their lives were all planned out—until he disappeared without explanation. Only to reappear on the decks of the Oceanic Aphrodite six years later. Selena Spark has a plan for her life. It’s a new plan, one she devised after her previous plans—the ones she made with her college boyfriend and supposed future husband and business partner fell through—but it’s a good … it’s a good plan.
Step One: Put eyes on the resort Oceanic has built with her company on Grand Cayman, and determine if it is up to her company’s high standards.
Step Two: If it is, score the management position at that resort.
Step Three: Move to Grand Cayman for her dream job and live happily ever after in paradise.
But you know what they say about plans.
And when her sister is left at the altar just before the cruise sails and needs consoling, Selena decides to bring her along. But when Lincoln Addis turns out to be the activities director aboard the Aphrodite, and when he is assigned to oversee her Oceanic experience and confesses that he’s also in the running for the resort management gig? And when she realizes she still loves him, and he’s never stopped loving her?
Selena may have to make some new plans.
Take a Chance on Me is a light-hearted second-chance romance set in the sun and sand of the Caribbean. The perfect beach read!

This was such a fun book. If you love second chance books, this is the perfect book for you!

Selena Spark was taking a cruise with her sister Jenny. Jenny had just been left at the alter. But as they were boarding she suddenly stopped when she spots Lincoln Addis, the man who she was suppose to marry, the one who disappeared completely right after college. She had not even known if he was still alive. Selena was there on business, representing the resort she managed and making a potential partnership between about the new resort in the Caribbean. What she didn’t expect was that Lincoln was assigned to be her personal tour guide for the entire trip. When she heard this she fainted.
This is a cozy romance set in the seas and islands of the Caribbean. Wonderful characters chalked full of personality draw you instantly into the book and keep you reading page after page. Their past experiences have a great impact on their present encounters creating a sea of emotions that takes the reader along for the ride. Unless they can forgive and put the other one first they will never be together. This is a fantastic heart-warming romance that leaves you feeling good. If you like cozy romances then try this one or even the whole Oceanic series, after all love is what the ship Oceanic Aphrodite is known for.

Will their professions keep them apart again?
Take a Chance on Me by Delancey Stewart is wonderfully written second-chance love with amazingly realistic characters with believable issues. This book is the perfect read for the end of the summer evening.
Selena
Selena is our main character, and she tells the story. She and her sister Jenny are on the cruise ship Oceanic Aphrodite for two reasons. Selena is on business, and she brought her sister Jenny to help Jenny get over her broken heart. Selena’s company is going to partner with the Oceanic cruise lines in a resort on the Cayman Islands. This is Selena’s dream job. She wants to run a tropical resort so bad.
I like Selena and could see the two of us as friends. She is loyal, hardworking, dedicated, and loves dolphins. So what if she is claustrophobic and wants to hold a grudge? She works through it anyway, the grudge part that it is.
Lincoln
Lincoln is a hard worker and seems to enjoy his position on the Oceanic Aphrodite. However, he is also looking forward to the joint venture of the resort as he also wants to run it. As running a tropical resort is also his dream. Lincoln pulls out all of the stops to prove to Selena that he still loves her and that he has changed.
In the beginning, we all hate Lincoln for leaving Selena long ago with no explanation. Then when he gives her the reason, I was like, “Wow! Loser!” but after getting to know him better. I can see that he has grown and he really is a good guy.
Love Story
This story is darn cute. I adore it, but then I am a sucker for a good second chance at love. The history between these two is explosive in many ways, but they both seem to have grown, now can share their lives. I genuinely love a happy ending.
Seriously, the best scene is when they are swimming with the dolphins. That was amazing!

Another Great Piece of work by Delancey Stewart
We have Selena & Lincoln whom are college sweethearts & had planned their future together, but that changes when Lincoln ups & leaves Selena without informing her..
But it’s 6yrs later after Selena has decided on her new life plans when she unexpectedly meets her long past love & she starts wondering about her life plans again.
But will Lincoln be involved/uninvolved in these new plans????
A cute and fun second chance at love story! I pretty much enjoy any and all Delancey Stewart books, and while this book is part of a series, it’s a series written by several authors so it’s not like I felt like I was missing something by not having read the previous books. I loved that there is still some serious chemistry between Selena and Lincoln, and that they’ve still got plenty of feelings for each other, despite not having seen each other in 6 years. The story took an even more interesting turn when it came to the merging of their respective employers and the job potential they were separately angling for. Good character development and dialogue kept me engaged from start to finish!
Ok, maybe my rating is somewhat selfish but I wanted this story to be longer. I want to live with this lovely second chance romance for a wee bit longer.
Delancey always manages to weave in the unexpected in the most hilarious ways. She does not disappoint with this book. I have not read any others in this series but they are on my list! Most of the other authors are new to me so I’m excited by the whole project.
My favorite trope is second chances. Selena Spark is a planner. She had her life all planned out but of course the plan fell apart. She is a workaholic. She lives and breathes for her job. Little did she know that ocean liner she was going to be sailing on will have the one person she felt she was meant to be with. Lincoln Addis is the one that walked away and never looked backed. Now they are on the Aphrodite and he is to be her guide. Add in Selena’s sister and watch all the craziness happen. It seems the liner is making a match, just not what you expect. Loved it!
Perfect read for the late Summer afternoon
This story is very well paced, it is quick to read and very entertaining. It shows how sometimes by being stubborn and too proud we can ruin our perfect chance in happily ever after. It’s never too late to try to fix wrongdoings and reach for what could be great relationship with the one. Fate sooner or later achieve her own goals. There’s no reason to resist any more. This story is well written. It’s light, romantic with a little dose of drama and angst but in the same time very enjoyable read.
I haven’t read all of the books in this series yet but this was my fourth one so far and I ADORED it. This is hands down my favorite one so far. It was just so sweet! Who doesn’t love a book about second chances? I absolutely fell in love with these characters and this story. I recommend the whole series BUT if nothing else, read this one.

What a great read! I’m truly loving the Oceanic Dreams series but each book is a stand alone read. Take a Chance on Me is a great addition to the series and just might be the best one yet. This is a well written second chance romance story, the characters are wonderful and the story line grabs your attention and holds on to it until you reach the end.

An amazing second chance romance! The scenes and are incredibly descriptive and realistic I felt like I was right there experiencing it. The storyline is well developed and researched, witty with bits of humour thrown in, emotionally deep, and there is a great pace from scene to scene. The characters Selena and Lincoln are really sweet and the chemistry between them is undeniable. Definitely recommended!

Selena thought she was headed for her HEA with Lincoln. Until he up and disappeared six years ago. Her sister was just stood up at the altar, so Selena takes her on a cruise for her job. And guess who works on the ship?!? Yep. They are working together – a collaborative project between their companies. If the project goes forward, only one of them can be the new manager. But Lincoln has another plan… Sorry, no spoiler here, but they figure out how to have their happy ending. I could tell from the beginning that these two were still in love. This is a very nice book – easy reading, some plot twists. This is my first read from this author, but it won’t be the last.

A great story about lost love. Selena has no idea that a trip to help her sister get over being left at the alter would bring back her love from the past. Lincoln didn’t know that the person he would be showing around was his lost love. There was a lot between the two that never got explained and they were in a similar position again. Thankfully, they were able to overcome all of it and got back to each other with a love that will last a lifetime! Another great book in the series and Delancey hit it out of the park with this beautifully told rom com!!
This was a fun read with well developed characters that took you a ride. The storyline flowed easily from page to page.
