A bad girl with a reputation, a single dad fighting for custody – love couldn’t have come at a worse time.I had no idea when Sadie Cole caught my eye, that she would also steal my heart. My daughter’s new dance teacher with her jet black hair and haunting blue eyes intrigued me. Her tight outfits and bare skin taunted me. Most importantly, she was amazing with my daughter. But Sadie’s reputation … daughter.
But Sadie’s reputation proceeded her… and I couldn’t afford any entanglements that would cost me custody of my daughter.
The more I spent time with her the more I realized the rumors were wrong— the town was wrong. I wanted to be the man she could count on. When what’s best for my daughter and what’s right for Sadie are in direct conflict, I hope I make the right choice.

Another great story by Miss Coll, I love a good single parents story and this one hit the right spot! I read it in one sitting!
This is the 6th book in this awesome series and is Tanner and Sadie’s story. Sadie is ab outcast in her small town due to an incident when she was younger, but she works hard to overcome her past as a lawyer by day and a dance teacher at night. Tanner is a police officer who arrives at the dance class to pick up his little girl, and he is not happy when he hears the teachers name. Will these two be able to deny the chemistry between them? This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, heartbreaking, and with secrets and love, which all lead to a wonderful story which had me totally enthralled throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all readers.
This is a really awesome story. It shows how it only takes one person believing in you to make you stronger. Sadie has been the town pariah all her life. She has had no support from her mom, and no friends she could depend on. Tanner is a single dad trying to do right by his daughter. Meeting Sadie brings out his protective streak. The story unfolds as he works to get Sadie to trust in him and allow him to help her. He works hard to break down her barriers and get her to fall in love with him and his daughter. It is a lovely story about facing challenges head on and destroying the things that are holding you back from living a full and wholesome life. Both Tanner and Sadie have to overcome the obstacles that are impeding their lives before they can fully become happy and loved.
Sadie has suffered a tragic life with a alcoholic mother and one of her mother’s boyfriend assaulting her and her friend. The whole town thinks badly of her because she would not tell the complete story of what happened that night. She is a lawyer by day and teaches dance at night where she meets single dad policeman Tanner and his daughter Rylan. It is instant attraction on both parts and I loved how he stuck by her and when she wanted to give up she stood by him when he needed she most. Wonderful story with equally wonderful characters.
This was such a deep and beautiful story full of healing, hope, forgiveness, trust & taking a chance on love. The story line captured my attention in the first chapter and kept me interested throughout. I loved everything about this book. Sadie has had a very hard life. The town constantly talking about her behind her back and nobody who was “there” for her. Tanner walked into her life & continually showed her that he wouldn’t judge her and that he would be there for her. This is book #6 in the series “All I want” but can be read as a stand alone. Highly recommend reading this book & the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
I loved Lea Coll’s book, Easy Moves. It was the first book of hers that I’d read. So I was excited to dive into Sadie and Tanner’s story in Take A Chance on Me. And I got more than I bargained for. This is a story of perseverance, unconditional love, redemption, and healing. Sadie has to be one of the strongest heroines I’ve ever read in a story. And Tanner is just simply one of the good guys…always striving to do the right thing even when he makes mistakes. Able to look past the labels this small town has insisted stick with Sadie, he’s just…swoonworthy!
NICUnurse’s Rating: If you love small-town contemporary romances that are full of emotion, you will love this book. I was swept along with the rising and falling of the waves of Sadie’s emotions. Yet, in the end, with unconditional love and support despite the rumors of her past, she rose above it all. All she needed was just one person to wholly love her, wholly believe in her, and wholly stand beside her come what may. Take A Chance on Me will tug at your heartstrings, leave you in tears in some moments, and then have you standing up and cheering for unconditional love and acceptance. It’s about who you become, not who you were.
I give Take A Chance on Me by Lea Coll 4 out of 5 stars!
The story line was good, the character work was great, and the book had a smooth flow to it. This book kept me entertained from beginning to end. I look forward to more from this author.

A tragic event in Sadie Cole’s past has affected her since she was a teenager and the assault by her mother’s boyfriend has destroyed her reputation. She came home after college to try to help her mother, an alcoholic, but things haven’t changed and a small town never forgets. She is working as an attorney during the day and teaching dance lessons at night when she meets Tanner Green. His daughter Rylan is taking dance lessons from Sadie and she senses that Tanner is interested in her until she learns that he is a cop. Surely, he knows of her past? Instead, he somehow knows that she is a good person while dealing with rumors that won’t let the past die. He won’t give up on her and his daughter loves her, but is there a chance of a future for them? An emotional story of hope and finally letting go of the past. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
Man, I loved this book. It hit all the feels. My emotions were on a roller coaster and I couldn’t put it down. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend grabbing the other books in the series. I’ve only read a couple now, but I will be going back to read some of the other stories.
Tanner is new to town and a sheriff’s deputy. His daughter Rylan is in Sadie’s dance class. Sadie is back in town to take care of her alcoholic mother and she’s teaching dance to supplement her income as a lawyer. She’s the person everyone loves to hate in town. Tanner sees something in Sadie that no one else does and pursues a relationship with her despite the warnings he’s getting from friends to stay away from her. Their relationship starts and blooms and over time Sadie comes to trust Tanner with her history and secrets, but their relationship is threatened when Tanners ex tries to use Sadie’s past to gain custody of Rylan. Will Sadie stay and fight to be with Tanner, or will she walk away to keep him from losing the custody battle?

I was immediately drawn into Sadie and Tanner’s story and could not stop reading. Tanner is a single dad to the most adorable little girl, Rylan, and meets Sadie when his ex signs Rylan up for dance class. Tanner has heard the rumors and speculation about Sadie but luckily he saw more to her than most people. Sadie is sweet, caring, a hard worker and desperately trying to put the past behind her. The connection between Tanner and Sadie is unmistakable and pulls you right in. Absolutely wonderful read!

Yet again, Lea Coll has created a story that will pull at your heartstrings and make you fall in love with her characters. This story follows Tanner and Sadie and how they both took a chance on one another. This is such a beautiful story of love and acceptance of people for who they are.
I loved being able to see the dynamics of this story. How a tragic incident that happened years ago can still control the mind and shape a person into who they are. Without knowing the entire truth and story, the people in town have come up with their own thoughts about who Sadie is. Tanner is immediately drawn to Sadie and looks past all the ugly words thrown out about her. He can tell that she is not the person that people say she is. He is a cop after all and has a good tell on people and Sadie isn’t bad. He knows she has a story to tell and wants to hear it.
This story shows how we shouldn’t judge a person by the actions that they make but rather their reasoning behind it. There are many sides to a story and to only look at one side will leave you blind and ignorant to every thing else. Sadie was also a victim and she let the thoughts of others push her away and make her feel as if she isn’t worth it. Her own mother made her feel like there was no one to turn to and that it was them against the world. But the one person she should have trusted only manipulated her.
Tanner helps Sadie see her true potential and helps her realize that she is so much stronger than she lets on. She has been through so much and hasn’t had anyone to confide in all these years. To finally find that one person that opens not only their arms and mind to you, but also their heart is such a great reward. They both turn out to be the rock they needed to help one another through their hard times.
I’m madly in love with Tanner! I’m going to add him to my Top 5 list of favorite book boyfriends!! He is such an amazing man. Honestly I can’t get over how absolutely perfect he is. He’s a single dad and a police officer and when it comes to his daughter he will do anything and everything to make her happy and keep her safe.
Sadie is such an unbelievably strong woman. Raised by an alcoholic mother who made poor life choices, leaving a teenage Sadie prey to a man that would shatter her life – fast forward 10 years and Sadie finds herself back in the small town that had turned its back on her and still paying the price for the unfortunate event from her past. Shunned by pretty much everyone until a certain sexy police officer see’s her – all of her, the real woman and falls hopelessly in love with her *swoon*.
Take A Chance On Me was my first book by Lea Coll and it proved to be a fantastic romance read. I look forward to reading the other books in this series and can’t recommend it enough. TBR and enjoy.
This is the first book I’ve read by Lea Coll and I enjoyed it so much, I went and purchased the previous books in this series. Take a Chance on Me is a beautiful story about Sadie and Tanner. Sadie has a bad reputation after an incident in high school and the first time she tells Tanner her name, he doesn’t appear happy. Tanner is an officer with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department. Sadie is a lawyer and she teaches dance at night. Dance class is how Tanner and Sadie meet because Tanner’s daughter, Rylan, is one of her students. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say if you love small town romance where secrets are revealed, you will love this book.

Sadie Cole had not had an easy life – she worked two jobs, got fired from her previous job, lived in a filthy house with her drunk of a mother, was up to her eyes in debt and was right in the middle of a ten year old scandal that made everyone in her small town talk about her. One of her greatest joys is her second job as a dance teacher and when Tanner comes in with his six year old daughter Rylan, Sadie feels an immediate connection with him. Tanner thinks she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, but Sadie is closed off and doesn’t trust easily, so Tanner has to work hard to get through her fears. As Tanner earns Sadie’s trust and the two are falling in love, Rylan’s mom wants more access to her and Sadie’s past could be a major hurdle in Tanner getting custody of Rylan.
Loved this series, it’s well written, the stories flow and I like that reading the other books helps with the secondary characters but doesn’t detract if you haven’t read them.
This was a well written, interesting love story that I really enjoyed. The characters were relatable and believable.
Tanner is a police officer and single dad. He meets Sadie when he takes his daughter to her dance class. Even though he had heard rumors about Sadie that weren’t very nice and should make him want to stay away from her, he is instead intrigued and attracted to her. Sadie recently moved back to town to care for her mother and she tries to keep low profile because she knows about the rumors and knows that in small towns people never forget. So she too tried to deny her attraction to Tanner but he’s persistent. Can she trust him? Can he see past her past?
I know this book is part of a series, but I haven’t read any of the previous books. That being said, I don’t feel like I missed anything important by not reading them, other than maybe knowing more about some of the supporting characters, but not knowing did not affect the story. This can be read as a stand alone. However, since I liked this book so much, I will be reading the rest of the series!

Sadie left her hometown right after high school to escape a scandal. She returned home as a dance teacher. Seeing the way they all still looked at her, she realized coming back was a mistake. Then single dad Tanner glanced her way. His blue eyes saw too much, and he looked right through her in search of the truth. His kind heart and stacked body tempted Sadie to stay and face the rumors. She has never let anyone get close. He is a cop with the sweetest daughter in the world. Tanner was attracted to Sadie, but he could not afford any entanglements that would cost him custody of his daughter. The more time he spent with Sadie the more he realized the rumors were wrong. He wants to be the man she can count on, but he feels what is best for his daughter may not be best for Sadie. – Tanner is a good character. He is determined, non- judgmental, and a good dad. Sadie is scarred from not getting enough love when she was growing up. This is an okay read. Too much time as spent on a scandal when Sadie was 12.
This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I was blown away by the story. The characters were amazing; I actually felt Sadie’s pain and Tanner’s love in this story. Tanner’s determination to make Sadie see how strong and brave she was made my heart burst with happiness.
An enjoyable read. Characters were realistic
Good read, sad and sweet, all to real.
The actions were weird. My friend’s husband was viciously murdered in her home. I live in a small town and nobody remembers. No one cares about any tragic event that happens in someone else’s life. Maybe the mother and her friends would have hated the chick, but cops and lawyers don’t care ever.
