A bad girl with a reputation, a single dad fighting for custody – love couldn’t have come at a worse time.I had no idea when Sadie Cole caught my eye, that she would also steal my heart. My daughter’s new dance teacher with her jet black hair and haunting blue eyes intrigued me. Her tight outfits and bare skin taunted me. Most importantly, she was amazing with my daughter. But Sadie’s reputation … daughter.
But Sadie’s reputation proceeded her… and I couldn’t afford any entanglements that would cost me custody of my daughter.
The more I spent time with her the more I realized the rumors were wrong— the town was wrong. I wanted to be the man she could count on. When what’s best for my daughter and what’s right for Sadie are in direct conflict, I hope I make the right choice.

I am so glad that Sadie got her story. I always wanted to read about her background. I always knew there was more then meets the eye. And Tanner, so dreamy. Perfect boyfriend . Great book.
Wonderful story on the effects of alcohol and drugs on a family…great ending.
Wow! I enjoyed reading this book! I loved the connection between Sadie and Tanner. Great!
5 Stars
When Tanner meets Sadie he instantly feels something he has never felt, not even with his young daughter’s mother. Sadie is used to keeping to herself and avoiding anyone who might try to break through the walls she has built to protect herself, especially a police officer like Tanner! What follows is a story full of love, affection, second chances and forgiveness! Your heart will break for Sadie and for the pain she has suffered throughout her life. This book is full of real life events and situations that are unfortunately going on in many people’s lives. I loved this book and how Ms. Coll approaches such difficult topics with care, realism and love. Sadie, Tanner and Rylan deserved the best happily ever after, and received it!

** spoiler alert ** Tanner is trying to raise his daughter. Sadie is struggling with the small town rumors. Can he help her realize she is more than they think? Will Sadie decide to stay or run?
Loved these two characters. I absolutely loved how Tanner was determined to prove to her she was worth it and that his daughter and her were his world. I felt for Sadie in her struggles, but loved when she slowly started to overcome and free herself of the guilt. Excellent read and cannot wait to read more from this author!
This started out so heartbreaking. Sadie had it tough. I loved that she kept showing up, especially when it seemed the world was against her. I was happy that she was surprised by just who was there to support her. Her chemistry with Tanner and Rylan was strong and sweet. Their path wasn’t easy, but they were as good for Sadie as she was for them.
Slow burn, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and scorching are the words that come to my mind with this read. I was wrapped up in its embrace, never wanting it to end. This author evokes emotions that just pour out from the pages. Sadie and Tanner are my new favorite couple, putting me in a trance with their undeniable connection.
Tanner, a gorgeous cop with the biggest, most beautiful heart and soul. He sees something in Sadie, something she’s been unwilling to see because of her past. Nothing in Sadie’s life has been easy, her mother a big factor in the scheme of things. When these two are together, its pure book magic.
I sped through the pages and enjoyed every single second. This author knows how to write sweet reads with sensitive subjects , flowing perfectly from start to finish. A definite five star, #oneclick read!
A small town romance you’ll love diving into. The characters are fantastic and well developed. The story line pulls you in and you’ll love getting lost in the pages. A book you won’t want to put down once you start reading. Highly, highly recommend!

This was a really great read. I loved the chemistry between Tanner and Sadie. I loved that he saw beyond what other people thought about Sadie and made his own decisions about her.
This is my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last.
It’s an amazing story of love, trust, hope and family. The sentiment that one shouldn’t be judged by past actions is very prevalent.
Lea Coll has crafted a beautiful and emotionally driven romance. Tanner is everything we want in a leading man and more. Sadie has a little of all of us in her. I was immediately pulled into the romance of Tanner and Sadie and reminded that no matter how hard we try, sometimes the ghosts of our pasts can taint the future.
Having read Stay with Me earlier this year I’ve been looking forward to picking up more books in this series! As soon as this one was announced I knew it was the one I wanted to read next! I got into this story from the start and I enjoyed it!
Sadie and Tanner’s journey was one filled with emotion and realness! From the moments that got me right in the chest to the ones that brought a smile to my face, I felt every bit with these characters.
I was so happy to get into Sadie’s mind and dig deeper with her. Tanner had such a big heart and his bond with his daughter was so sweet. I adored Sadie and Tanner together!
With Take A Chance On Me, Ms.Coll has created such a great story that you’ll want to read all in one sitting! I can’t wait to read more of her words!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*

Lea Coll is a new author to me, and I loved this book.
Set in a small town Sadie Cole battles against the entire town thinking they know her. Single dad Tanner is a transplant and meets Sadie at his daughter’s dance class.
Tanner is drawn to Sadie even with his friends warming him about her, his cop instincts telling him something is wrong, and battling with the mother of his child who has addiction problems.
The plot wraps around small town gossip, parental pressure, addiction problems, dealing with unsupportive and destructive parents as well as learning to trust others.
Characters within this book appear in other books from the series, but this book can be read as a stand alone. The town and the major characters grow, change, and learn to react differently in this book in relation to what they thought they knew in the past. Lea works in a great theme of forgiveness and acceptance – this runs the gambit from self to others.
There are some touching scenes in here that will pull at your heart.
One of the things that stood out to me the most was Tanner and his approach to his daughter’s mother.
We know that Tanner and Bree were in a limited relationship that resulted in the birth of their daughter, Rylan.
Though no longer together the two share joint custody of Rylan.
Tanner and Bree struggle with the custody as Bree is addicted to antidepressants and alcohol.
Tanner struggles with what the best decision is for his daughter. Should Bree remain in her life or is it too risky from a physical and emotional perspective.
Sadie is able to help Tanner through this as he learns more about Sadie’s past and present.
Tanner continuing to push to have an arrangement for Bree to remain in Rylan’s life in a healthy way is something I haven’t come across in novels before and I thought it showed a depth of empathy that isn’t typically portrayed. Particularly in the lead male character. This large piece of the story line held my interest as much as the relationship between Tanner and Sadie.
Take a Chance on Me wraps up the Take a Chance series that Lea has written. This book can be read as a stand alone, however there were parts of the story where I wished I’d read the earlier books, but the plot was filled in nicely so it isn’t necessary in order to enjoy Tanner and Sadie’s story.
I love Lea Coll and her damaged characters!! With each book of hers that I’ve read, she has quickly become a favorite of mine. I absolutely love that she is on a hot streak and releasing a book every month right now. Tanner and Sadie are my all time favorite couple. This story just hit me in places I never thought a book would be able to reach.
Sadie has been given a tough hand. Most of it stems from her being afraid to speak up but given her circumstances you can’t really blame her. Watching her learn to trust herself and trust others was such an empowering process. I felt such a kinship with Sadie’s character that I haven’t felt with a fictional character in a long time. Her relationship with her mother is so tragic and disheartening but I felt that in my soul dealing with a recovering alcoholic as a mother with signs of dementia.
Another aspect of all of Lea Coll’s stories is that despite how wounded or tortured the characters may be she always gives them the chance to learn how to live for themselves. Love stories are great but seeing love stories where people grow and shine give me all the warm fuzzy feelings.
(5 out of 5 stars) I can’t say enough good things about Take A Chance On Me. I loved seeing how despite how strong you have to be to survive this world it is still possible and very much ok to let those walls down and let love in.
4.5 stars
“Take a chance on me” was my first book from Lea Coll. It was quite an introduction to be honest! Single-parent is one of my favorite tropes, so I couldn’t pass this book and I’m glad that I didn’t. Tanner and Sadie’s story was a real winner!!
Sadie Cole had a rough life so far. Growing up with her alcoholic mother and her series of questionable boyfriends, her childhood wasn’t the best. Then something happened in senior year and from then on, she’s been a pariah in her small town. A decade after the incident she’s back again to help her mother makes ends meet, working two jobs to pay for her debt.
Tanner never though he’ll be a single father so early in life, but he couldn’t change his little girl for the world. Rylan is his heart and he’ll do anything for her, even attend her dance classes! What he didn’t anticipated was to feel attracted to Rylan’s dance teacher, Sadie. She’s infamous in the small town and with him being a cop he hears things involving her.
Sadie is resigned in her life of solitude. She can’t do anything since people judge her only by hearing her name. Tanner is the first to give her the benefit of the doubt. He’s the first one that wants to get to know the real her, despite the rumors. Little Rylan is so cute and gave me the purest emotions! Sadie and Tanner’s relationship has its ups and downs. Both have things in their lives happening. She has to escape her mother’s emotional guilt trip and he has to do the best for his little girl.
Their story gave me the perfect feel-good vibes. I was invested in their HEA from the start and I was eagerly waiting for it. I mean I stayed awake just to finish the book because I wanted to see them happy after all! If you are looking for a single-father romance with feel-good vibes and the right amount of drama to keep you going, then you just found it!!!
Realism at its finest
This story brings to light the best and the worst of small town America. It serves to show that people can change, or in this case weren’t really what they thought they were in the first place. In Sadie’s case she cares for her absent mother even though she only served to make her life more difficult. She tries her level best to dissuade Tanner from pursuing their relationship to protect both him and his daughter Rylan. Their pathway is definitely far from smooth with the “boulders” that kept littering it. Great characters, story, and writing make this a truly emotional and insightful read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a fantastic book. This is Sadie and Tanner’s story. A story of unconditional love, redemption, healing, ad perseverance. Small towns are notorious for never letting anyone forget your mistakes. Sadie is a lawyer by day and a dance teacher at night. She meets single dad Tanner who’s a cop when he brings his daughter to dance lessons. I love how their relationship develops and he sees the real Sadie. Will Sadie ever be able to leave her past behind? Will Tanner be able to help her heal and will they find their HEA together with Rylan Tanner’s daughter. I really enjoyed this story. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book had me at single dad. I can’t resist a single dad romance. I’m so glad I read this one. For me it was one emotional ride. I had tears in my eyes several times while reading this one. My heart broke for Sadie. Everything life has thrown at her she deserves a HEA. That’s what makes it all the more special when Tanner and his daughter come into her life. Tanner will have you falling under his spell rather quickly. First off he is such a great dad and then the way he’s in Sadie’s corner, swoon. It made my heart so happy to see Sadie finally getting to be able to find her happiness. To see she has more people in her corner, heart warming and gives her hope. This is a book you do not want to pass up!
I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review
This is the first book I have ever read by this author and while its book 6 from the All I want series, it can definitely be read as a standalone if that is what you are looking for.
I really enjoyed this story, I LOVE small town romances, they are my absolute favorite and i also enjoy a single dad story, I mean what’s not to like about a hot single guy that adores his child oh and to top that off he even wears a uniform
I thought the story was really beautiful, it was all about love, trust and believing in yourself. Sadie had a terrible upbringing that really tore any confidence that she had away! Tanner was in a relationship(kind of!) with a lady that really did a number on him. Sadly Sadie’s reputation proceeds her, unfortunately the downside of a small town is the gossip and made up hearsay!
Both of their lives run parallel in what they are currently dealing with, maybe that’s why they work together.
I enjoyed their story, and really felt for the obstacles they had to overcome together. Can the gossips just leave them alone? Can they show a United front? I hope so.
Thanks so much for the book
