A dangerous hitman finds love in lust in this dark and suspenseful modern myth from Tabatha Drake. We don’t belong together. Dante Hart only wants one thing from me. He’ll give me the one thing I want in return. To save my father’s life, to pay off his debt to the cruel Zappia family, I’ll be his plaything for one night.Or so I thought.Wrong place, wrong time. My night with the devil has ruined me … place, wrong time. My night with the devil has ruined me and burned my life to the ground.
Now, all I want is my freedom.
But Dante won’t let me go. Not without giving him the one thing he wants in return.
The one thing I could never give to a monster like him.
My heart.

Humorous and amusing bantering alternates with breathtaking and thrilling moments…
Sparkling characters bring the extremely suspenseful plot to life…
Lucy and Dante, the two main characters, are truly amazing as are the side characters of Lilah and Elijah, Dante’s siblings…
I really devoured this book!
When the Ballet dancer mixes it up with the killer-
GAH
Dante’s cold-hearted, yet seductive ways are in full force as he makes a trade of sorts with Lucy’s father to cover his gambling debt.
To Lucy’s dismay, she is whats up for trade, while sporting the body of a dancer she has the persona of a fighter.
Lucy has no choice but to repay her fathers debt, that doesn’t mean she won’t put up a fight.
Unfourtuanlty, Dante enjoys that spirt even more.
Secrets, lust, heartache, revenge, and love all become blurred lines that mean many things will bind these two together into something spectacular.
This interconnected series keeps getting better and better!
Dark, gritty, frustrating, and hot. No matter how many times or ways I read the intricate storylines and bold characters personas- I get tingles. Every time.
The goods keep coming; I am ready for more!
I really liked this book. Dark, intense, twisty and very emotional, Dante and Lucy’s story takes you on quite a roller coaster ride as it unfolds. These two shared a powerful attraction, explosive chemistry and sharp banter. I found it super easy to get pulled into this gripping romance. Toss in some drama, the Mafia, tension, secrets, violence and lots of steam and you have a very enjoyable read.
Although this storyline has been used again and again, this time I really felt for Lucy. What kind of father would use his daughter as payment again and again? What kind of sad twisted loyalty would allow the daughter to bail out her father again and again?
I found it painfully sad that despite her father’s horrible flaws, Lucy still valued him more than her mother, who abandoned her because of her father’s gambling addiction.
I loved the cat and mouse dialogue Dante shared with Lucy when they met. The challenge was an intriguing hook, one that Lucy was sure to fail, seeing how this was a dark romance with Dante as the super controlled alpha. Transferring her father’s debt from his employer to himself for a night with Lucy was pretty sexy in a stalker-ish kind of way, but very appealing as a romance plot/theme.
Very graphic and violent as Dante’s protective instincts go full force when it came to Lucy and her well being. His feelings for her were a game changer, and the violent, raw and passionate way he dealt with anything concerning her was very satisfying to read.
Full of Mafia loyalty, betrayal, and mayhem. Well written, good pacing with the hint of intrigue and sensual tension in the storyline as their relationship progressed. I honestly enjoyed this one more than I thought. Very entertaining!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I read this when it was The Hitman’s Dancer by Tabatha Kiss. When I started Tainted Love I forgot what an arrogant jerk Dante is. In my opinion Dante is not very likable, I really wanted to smack the smugness out of him. I can say he did redeem himself at the end. There are some things I appreciate about Dante his loyalty, his love of his family and his protective nature. I really loved Lucy and her strength, her boldness and her love for her father, even with all his weakness. Lucy and Dante are thrown together under Lucy’s protest. There were some things I had a little bit of a hard time with. When everything comes to a head Dante comes through more ways than one. I did not notice any of the changes that were made. In my opinion this is a fun and entertaining story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader’s copy.
Tainted Love by Tabatha Drake is a great read. This is the third book in The Killer Love saga. This book had me laughing, crying. I had all the feels. This book has suspense, revenge, mafia, hitmen, romance, and more. The book is well written and has very likeable characters. I did not want to put the book down. I can’t wait for the next book by this amazing author. I highly recommend this book.
Is one night with a gorgeous killer enough to pay off a debt? What happens when you end up craving his touch? Can stop herself from wanting Dante? Can Dante? Talk about explosive chemistry. Wow! Great job Tabatha on another awesome book.
