Are we really destined to last or does fate have another plan in hand?My world came to a screeching halt the day I met Claire. I don’t bother to keep my distance because she would never fall for a guy like me, and you know what they say, once an addict, always an addict. Even though I’ve kicked the habit, I’m quickly addicted to her. However, it all comes to a crashing halt as her lies start to … start to unravel and the truth is finally revealed. Will we be able to move past them or will I once again have to start a new life?
Destined to live a short and simple life, I tend to stick to myself until I run into Remy. For once, fate’s on my side and before I know it, I’m in too deep with secrets I can’t reveal. If Remy knew the truth, he would leave. They always leave.
Will I lose the only man to love me as everything starts to unravel? Or will we find that we were made to last?

This is the first Tasha Lewis book I’ve read and I loved Claire and Remy’s story.
Claire and Remy were two flawed characters, both in their own way. Claire considered herself the sick girl due to her Lupus and Remy thought of himself as un-loveable because he was once an addict with a traumatic past.
As the two became close my heart couldn’t help but ache for them and their real-life drama but at the same time their story is filled with swoon-worthy moments that will leave you wishing you could become part of their story.
This is the second book in the Tailor Made series, but can be read as a stand alone.
4.5 Stars
I’m so glad that I read this one. It’s such a beautiful story and book. I could hardly put it down. I would recommend having tissues handy because I did tear up a few times while reading. This book is packed full of hears and feels. I would highly recommend this one. Claire’s story right off the bat hits you in the heart. Then we get Remy’s story and boy does my heart go out to him. He’s a man who thinks he doesn’t deserve a second chance and be happy for the guilt he feels. Then Claire thinks she will never have a normal life and ever experience what everyone takes for granted. As a reader you will be rooting for these two because if anyone deserves a HEA it’s them. Remy does so really romantic things for Claire that will make your heart swoon. This is a book you don’t want to miss out on.
This book is absolutely phenomenal. I loved and enjoyed everything about this book . From the beautiful story to the characters everything was pure perfection. The story heartbreaking beautiful. I literally binge read this book and couldn’t leave this book until I was done. I have no words for how much I enjoyed & loved this book.
The story makes you takes a step back and ponder , beauty is not superficial but it lies within and you need to love yourself and forgive yourself before you expect it from others . I loved both Claire and Remy’s characters they were both fun , sweet , caring and flawed in their own ways but yet perfect match for each other . Both the characters spoke to me and their inner dilemmas and how these two grow from the beginning to end was so beautifully written. I was literally spellbound and this story definitely pulled all my heartstrings. It was sweet and quite refreshing. Definitely re read worthy and it deserves all the stars. One of my favorites from 2019 .
Tailor Fit is full of all the feels! The story of Remy & Claire is cute and fun, yet full of swoony moments and real-life drama that will really make you think about things. Both characters have their own struggles but you see them grow and flourish as their relationship does the same. It was a great book with a fantastic ending.
This story pulled at my heart strings in the best ways. Remy and Claire travel an unconventional road that strengthens them together more than if they ever stayed apart. Two different struggles with similarities and differences that had my emotions all over the place. Each fighting a battle to survive while falling in love and it’s beautiful to watch. You should read this book for the pumpkins, the missed prom redo and the sleepover alone.
Remy could catch me all day and I would catch him right back. Tasha, thanks for reminding us that everyone needs help, support and compassion because we are all going through something. Tailor Fit is endearing, sweet, and magical. I can’t stop smiling at the beautiful ending.
Tracey, Life Reads With Friends
Tailor Fit is a heart-wrenching story of second chances. Remy blames himself for a tragic accident involving a friend, determined to turn his life around, while not bringing anyone around him on his journey. Claire’s life is a constant guessing game and she’s not sure what her future will bring, but when the person she’s crushed on for years enters her life again, it’s a whirlwind of romance and self-discovery. Remy and Claire’s story is filled with swoon-worthy moments and some real-life drama that’ll make you wish you were able to reach in the book and hug the characters! This is the second book in the Tailor Made series, and can be read as a stand alone, but you’ll enjoy it more if read in order. It’s a little darker than the first book, so have your tissues and chocolate on hand!
I loved how cute this book was ! I loved the things Remy did as dates for Claire. They both took each other in stride. And cared for each other a bunch. i loved seeing Mason from Tailor made.
Tailor Fit is the second full-length novel by Tasha Lewis. It’s a standalone book but there are some character overlaps from Tailor Made. But she does a good job of filling in the blanks when it comes to characters, so I feel pretty confident saying that you can read this book alone and not be lost as far as secondary characters go. It’s a sweet, contemporary, and new adult romance book.
Remy and Claire both have a lot to overcome. Every day they wake up is a day to be celebrated. But they don’t always see it that way. They both struggle with life-altering chronic illnesses and don’t give themselves enough credit on most days. (For those that would like to argue, I do believe addiction is a chronic disease. But we could argue that another time.)
I’m going to jump right in and say that writing characters that struggle with health issues isn’t easy unless you’ve lived it. Now, I have no idea if this author has to deal with the day-to-day struggles of chronic illness or not, but I think she did a decent job of showing some of the struggles someone might face. But it was definitely a challenging subject for a fairly new author to cover, and I applaud Ms. Lewis for being brave enough to tackle characters like Claire and Remy. I would have liked to see a little more detail regarding Remy’s growth and how he changed, but that’s just my personal desire.
NICUnurse’s Rating: Overall, I see a lot of growth in this author’s writing. The character and story development felt more confident than in her first novel. It didn’t feel like the characters were as wishy-washy as the ones in Tailor Made, and neither was the relationship between the main characters. I love that Remy wanted to be a better man for Claire but not because she expected him to change. She likes the person that he is now enough to fall for him. I think that’s an important distinction when writing a character that is struggling with addiction. If an addict feels like they are constantly letting loved ones down even as they struggle to stay clean and/or sober, eventually the feeling like a failure usually drives them right back into the addiction. Obviously, I’ve developed a soft spot in my heart for Remy. While I was able to put the book down here and there, it was still an enjoyable read, and I didn’t feel like I had wasted my time. So, if you’re a fan of sweet, clean romance, I say grab your copy of Tailor Fit and dive in today!
I give Tailor Fit by Tasha Lewis 3.75 out of 5 stars!
I absolutely loved EVERYTHING about Remy and Claire in this book!!! We didn’t get to know too much about Remy in Tailor Made, but we knew he was super important to Mason. Getting to see Remy in this light, and watch him grow and evolve, was epic!
Remy wasn’t the same guy in Tailor Made, and it seemed like when he met Claire he was determined to show the world that he could be someone else. He is THE SWEETEST guy ever!!!! OMG I adored him from the moment he met Claire. And Claire was equally sweet! She was super shy, naive and super adorable. When they met at the gallery I loved every second of seeing them together. They both had this INSTANT reaction. Claire’s was much different, for a few reasons, but it was definitely an equal reaction. When Remy swooped in to help Mason, everything he said was so perfect. Seeing this scene from Remy and Claire’s POV was so great. I remember the scene sooo vividly from Tailor Made, so seeing it in another perspective was so cool! We truly got to see all sides to this part of the story!
When we first meet Claire, you instantly worry and wonder what is wrong. But, when we see her as an adult, there’s so much sympathy, but in very different ways. She has this crazy disease that truly holds her back from being whole. It’s as if she’s only lived half of a life. Insert Remy. I loved how absolutely determined he was to help her live life. He didn’t even know why, but he knew she needed. This is one, of many, reasons why Remy was so perfect for her. I absolutely loved how Tasha developed both of these characters. They both had so much life, so much drive and for perfectly different reasons. She took all of the hard topics of life, drove home the reality of it, and showed you how you can be different than a statistic.
There’s so many things I could write about the book, but then I’d be telling you all of it. If you love a man with a purpose, an amazing naive girl, and families that are so strong and supportive, THIS IS FOR YOU! Remy and Claire are both so amazing, but their relationship truly helped them grow as people and change in the best ways!
Gosh, this was a very deep storyline. I never saw that coming for Claire and Remy. Yes, we all know of the heart boxer wearing cousin and a little of his background from Tailor Made but the layers of Remy was hidden. I for one loved his determination and find heart. His doubt for himself rivaled anything anyone else could dish out. He was his worst critic but the funny part was he knew his strengths. Like Claire they doubted everything around them.
Tasha created the perfect mix of hidden beautiful souls. Two halves to one whole. The best cheerleaders for one another. I enjoyed the cries as well. The understanding and when everything would work and that everyone could LIVE…
I read an advianced copy for an honest review.
When we first met Remy St. Clair, in the book Tailor Made, one assumed he was a partying playboy, who flouted the company’s rules, always got in trouble and really didn’t care.
I Tailor Fit, we get to meet the real Remy St. Clair. He is a recovering drug addict, who on the night in question, was drugged against his will and looking for help. He’s trying to stay clean and doesn’t really good about himself due to his past. He is very loyal to his famuliy.
Clair had Lupus. She was diagnosed young and her parents so radicically changed all their lives that they basically are smothering Clair and making her belief she can’t have any sort of life without them.
She wants to feel like a normal healthy girl.
At a chance meeting, where Remy’s cousin, who is on a Tailor made date, asks Remy to finish the date with Clair, it’s Almost like that scene in West Side Story, where Tomny meets Maria for the first time. They only see eachother.
Remy wants to continue seeing Clair and getting to know her. He has never felt this way with any other girl before. He want to make her dreams come true. Clair likes being with someone, who doen’t know she is sick and makes her feel “Normal”.
This story is about taking a chance and being vulnerable with someone, learing how to accpet your faults and unfortunately to consequences of keeping secrets. It will make you feel a rollercoaster of emotions, happy, frustrated, at peace.
It is delightful and the ending will make you sigh in satisfaction.
