From USA Today Bestselling Author, P.D. Workman!
It is Thanksgiving in Bald Eagle Falls and the smells of spicy new offerings waft from Auntie Clem’s Bakery.
Mary Lou is delighted to have Campbell home for Thanksgiving dinner, but less than thrilled with his companion. Before they can get to the bakery-fresh desserts, they are joined by an uninvited guest, the kind that comes with a warrant.
You … uninvited guest, the kind that comes with a warrant.
You would think things couldn’t get much worse, but the appearance of a dead body raises the stakes even more.
Erin needs to do some pretty fancy contortions if she is going to figure out how to get Campbell out of this one.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving in Bald Eagle Falls without a drug bust and murder! This time Erin almost bites off more gluten-free bread than she can chew. As expected, this cozy mystery is well-written, has a great plot and a well-developed cast of characters.

Great book!
Great book! Love the characters and the storyline, I really enjoyed reading this book.
Tai Chi and Chai Tea is the 11th installment of the Auntie Clem’s Bakery Series by P.D. Workman. In this series, Erin Price finds herself the heir of Auntie Clem’s home and defunct bakery, which Erin remembers from her childhood. Having remembered wonderful memories as a child, spending time with Auntie Clem before being shuffled off to various foster homes, she is glad to have a connection to return to. In honor of a foster sister who died as a result of not following her celiac diet, Erin decides to reopen the bakery as a gluten free bakery, What follows is her adventures as she tries her best to fit in with a small town that has lots of quirks and pitfalls. All of the books are able to be read as standalones, but each is a delightful story that continues the adventures that Erin faces as she goes about her daily life. I would definitely recommend that you read them all- they’re very fun and enjoyable cozy mysteries. No gore and no sexual situations to make you uncomfortable- just clean crazy fun!
The Thanksgiving Holiday is coming up and with it, a whole new set of holiday goodies for the crew to make at Auntie Clem’s Bakery. Erin and Vic plan a series of mini bites for their customers, so that they have a good variety to enjoy after a filling Holiday meal. A visit from Mary Lou reveals that Campbell plans on coming home for Thanksgiving. He also will be bringing a girl friend with him. After being gone so long and with things being so uncomfortable for Mary Lou, Erin is concerned that her friend is counting on Campbell’s visit that may or may not happen. But when the Holiday weekend rolls around, nobody is ready for what happens next. Can Erin help her friend through this situation or should she keep to herself?
The characters are so authentic and believable, I want to call and give them advice! And I love how the town is described. It’s Smalltown, USA! This author paints a very good picture of Bald Eagle Falls and it sounds like a place I’d enjoy visiting- well, if the crime rate wasn’t so bad!
Tai Chi and Chai Tea (Auntie Clem’s Bakery Book 11), my sixteenth read from author P.D. Workman. Extremely well written, the characters well-developed building over the first ten books in the series and now you’re so heavily invested in them. I’m a character reader, I get into the characters. Who and what they are. Why they do the things they do. The things that make a reader get invested into the characters and thereby the book. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
It just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving in Bald Eagle Falls without a drug bust and murder! This time Erin almost bites off more gluten-free bread than she can chew. As expected, this cozy mystery is well-written, has a great plot and a well-developed cast of characters. I’m eagerly awaiting the next book. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
Russian gangsters in Bald Eagle Falls!
Poor Erin is an absolute magnet for danger and foul play. She and her boyfriend, Terry, are still trying to recover from the events of their last adventure when trouble finds them once again. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Erin is trying to plan her inventory of special holiday offerings for her customers when a friend, Mary Lou, shares the happy news that her son, Campbell, will be coming home with a friend for Thanksgiving. Knowing that Mary Lou has been worried about her wayward teenage son and has suffered much family hardship recently, Erin is happy for her friend and is hoping they will have a wonderful holiday together. Sadly, the holiday is spoiled when Campbell is arrested on some serious drug charges. Fearing that the young man’s future is about to be ruined, Erin and her friends set out to find the truth about what has really happened since they are certain Campbell is innocent. Their investigation leads down a dark and dangerous path when a Russian gangster is found stabbed to death in the parking lot of Erin’s bakery. Evidently this gangster had some connection with the friend Campbell had invited to Thanksgiving dinner. Can Erin and her friends solve the case and save Campbell from a lengthy prison sentence? Grab your favorite beverage, settle into a comfy chair, and find out what happens in this captivating story with a tongue-twister title.
The author provided me with an advance copy of this book but I am voluntarily offering my honest and unbiased review.
Tai Chi and Chai Tea is the eleventh book in the Auntie Clem’s Bakery series. We’re reunited with characters we’ve met before and of course there’s another murder and Erin is involved. Her boyfriend Terry is still off the force and we meet a new officer, Officer Stayner. Erin and Terry are still fighting demons and learning to communicate at least a little.
There are crimes committed, investigations, a murder, some unsavory people, family and friends, everyday life, the bakery and of course baked goods. There are criminals apprehended and crimes that seem to be solved after taking a few twists and turns. Erin and Vic work well together and not only at the bakery. The story flows nicely for the most part but a few times the story seemed to skip ahead and got choppy. The story did end too abruptly for my liking. It’s a cute title and fun cover.
Ms. Workman is a new to me author only having read one other book in this series. I do plan on reading more of them.
