SYLER MCKNIGHT is a stand alone from NYT and USA Today Bestselling author Cora Brent.Small town quirkinessEnemies-to-Lovers angstA sarcastic flannel-shirt-wearing anti-heroTons of madcap holiday fun and all the happily ever afters!Maybe there’s one of us in every family. The guy who scorns all the rules. The guy who shuns expectations. The guy most commonly known as the ultimate villain in a … expectations.
The guy most commonly known as the ultimate villain in a cultish self help movement.
On the other hand, perhaps we’re not as common as I thought.
But so what if I’m never anyone’s hero?
At least I’m a good brother. That is the one thing I manage to get right. So when my big sister is abandoned by her lousy cheating husband, leaving her and her four kids alone a week before Christmas, I don’t hesitate to head home.
To my surprise, I’m not the only one who shows up.
Katrina has always been my sister’s best friend. She’s headstrong and hot. She’s neurotic and sexy. She belts out old power ballads with horrible, tuneless abandon and her hair always smells like vanilla cookie batter.
We have a long history of being at odds and she’s never appreciated my natural talent for getting under her skin.
And then there was the night we accidentally hooked up.
There might have been an unplanned midnight encounter.
Combined with antique furniture abuse.
Along with a creative application of lemon buttercream.
It’s kind of a forbidden topic.
Now, nearly a decade later, it’s possible I’m still obsessing over that memory.
Katrina never knew that back in the day she was the one girl who really got to me.
In the spirit of the holidays I’ve decided it’s time to settle the score.
She already thinks I’m not one of the good guys.
In fact she hates my guts.
But she realizes I’ve got something she wants for Christmas.
All she has to do is swallow her high maintenance pride and ask nicely.
I can guarantee she’ll get more than she ever bargained for…
Author note: Hope you’ll take a chance on this screwball romantic holiday tale featuring enemies-to-lovers hijinks, a high stakes cookie exchange, laugh out loud banter, and plenty of heat for those cold winter nights!

I highly recommend this amazing story for all readers.
Syler McKnight is a sweet, sexy and very enjoyable read! Syler and Katrina’s brand of funny along with their sizzling heat is just the right recipe for a heart warming Christmas.
“ALL THE FEELS” are happening now. Nothing like living in the beauty of a book after turning the last page. My heart is full, my mind intrigue, and my funny bone tickled with this read.
Syler and Katrina are AMAZING together. They made me laugh, cry, best of all fan myself. (Wink) These two have danced around each for years after a young tryst gone wrong in their early days. Katrina is best friends with Syler’s older sister and have been in each other’s lives forever. After a crisis happens these two are brought together over the holidays. Holy heck plan for all kinds of interest, and hilarious, quip, sarcastic interactions.
This author has created a magical world in this read, filled with family, failings, and touching resolutions. Yes I loved every aspect of this love story but what resonated with me is how this author didn’t overly villainize any of her characters. You see people for who they are with all their humanity visible.
Relationships can be hard. Family and friends can disappoint. In this story you see it is never too late to try to repair what is important to us or move past those we feel have wronged us. This message is explored with Syler and Katrina as well as relationships they have with others. REALLY GOOD.
Yes this book is five star worthy. When a story takes me on an emotional journey AND makes me snort with laughter, well it is a win-win.
I am soo hoping all the siblings get their own story. Eek! Happy Reading Everyone!
Syler McKnight (An Enemies to Lovers Holiday Tale) is a sweet holiday story. Syler and Katrina both have big hearts. They each reach out to lend much needed support and unknowingly end up in very close proximity to each other. Although professed enemies there was a lot heat between them. I love the witty banter between them. Throw in some unconventional relatives and you have some laugh out loud moments. Although it took them longer than it should have, they both finally admit their true feelings. Enjoyable story!
Syler McKnight is a must read for the holiday season.
This book is a heart warming feel good enemies to lovers story. It reminded me family and good friends are what’s important, if you have those you can get through anything.
I absolutely loved this story, it was a fun page turner with some fantastic characters.
Katrina is a my kinda girl, a fellow Power Ballad lover…..YES!!!
She’s sassy and stubborn and a little bit crazy… I bloody love her.
Syler is quite a character, his ability to get under Katrinas skin was hilarious. The chemistry between them was undeniable, no matter how much they tried to fight it. Their back and forth banter was infectious they just spark off each other in every way. I was completely obsessed with them both.
If you want something fun to read this Christmas then Syler and Katrina will definitely fill you with festive cheer and leave a huge smile on your face.
Even though this is complete standalone, I’m really hoping Cora gives us Rylands story, the geeky scientist has captured my curiosity. So fingers crossed.
